电影风雨哈佛路的英文观后感Film Review: The Harvard Road of Trials"风雨哈佛路" is a Chinese film that tells the inspiring story of a young man's journey to Harvard University. Directed by Xiaogang Feng, the film explores themes of perseverance, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams. Although the original title is in Chinese, a translated English title for the film might be "The Harvard Road of Trials." This film is a powerful portrayal of the challenges and obstacles faced by individuals striving for success in a competitive world, and it leaves a lasting impact on its viewers. The film revolves around the protagonist, Zhao Rui, and his ambition to study at Harvard University. Zhao Rui comes from a humble background, and throughout the movie, we witness his relentless pursuit of education. The story begins in a small town in China, where Zhao Rui's determination to achieve his dreams is met with skepticism and doubt from his friends and family. Undeterred, he decides to take matters into his own hands and embarks on a journey to prepare for the admissions examination. One of the most striking aspects of the film is the portrayal of Zhao Rui's unwavering determination. This resilience is showcased when he tackles heavy workload, late nights of studying, and even personal sacrifices. Such dedication and commitment resonate deeply with the audience, as they reflect the universal struggles faced by individuals striving for success.Throughout Zhao Rui's journey, he encounters various characters who shape his outlook on life and lend him support. The friendships he forges on his path to Harvard are an integral part of the narrative. These relationships not only provide emotional support to the protagonist but also highlight the importance of solidarity and camaraderie in the pursuit of dreams. The film eloquently portrays the significance of having a support system, as it enables individuals to overcome challenges that may seem insurmountable alone. In addition to its heartwarming portrayal of friendships, "The Harvard Road of Trials" also explores the themes of social inequality and the impact of economic disparities on individuals' chances of success. Zhao Rui's journey is not only a personal one but also a representation of the struggles faced by many from less privileged backgrounds. The film raises questions about the accessibility of quality education and the role of socioeconomic factors in determining one's opportunities. These thought-provoking themes force the audience to reflect on the realities of social mobility and the challenges faced by those determined to break free from their circumstances.Another notable aspect of the film is the cinematography and the attention to detail in capturing the different settings where the story unfolds. From the tranquil beauty of the small town to the bustling streets of Beijing and the prestigious halls of Harvard, each location is meticulously depicted, providing a visually rich experience for the viewers. The vivid cinematography enhances the narrative, making it more immersive and impactful."The Harvard Road of Trials" is not just a film about a young man's personal journey; it is a reflection of society's struggle to bridge the gapbetween aspirations and opportunities. The film touches upon themes that resonate with people from all walks of life: the importance of perseverance, the significance of relationships, and the impact of socioeconomic factors on individual success. Spring is saying goodbye, and here comes Graduating Season. For Freshmen, you are getting down to your new college life; for sophomores, you are engaged with your majors; for juniors, you may be busy preparing for your undergraduate-entrance exam; and for Senior students, you are burying yourselves in hunting jobs, or taking TOEFL, IELTS or GMAT in hope of going broad for further study. Actually, everyone is under great pressure and faced with various difficulties. Have you found the way out? How to deal with difficulties? You may say diligence overcomes difficulties. However, what if the worl d you live in doesn‟t give you a chance to be diligent? What if all the trusted people around you have lost their faith in life, and in you? Do you still believe there is a chance to survive? The movie,Homeless to Harvard, will give you a perfect answer.Liz Murray was born unfortunate—her mother wasalcoholic and legally blind; both her parents were drug addicts. She has not enough food to eat, no clean clothes to wear and no school to go to. At the age of 8, she began her begging life. When she was 10, her mother got AIDS. By 15, her mother died of AIDS and her father went to a shelter, leaving her living on the streets ,eating out of dumpsters and sleeping at friends‟ home or subway trains .However, she eventually has an access to the world's most famous university, Harvard! How does she manage it?(Play Perfect)The answer lies in her great strengthen ,independence, perseverance ,confidence, together with her hardworking spirit , inclusive love to her parents .Now, Frank would like to invite you to have a look at Liz‟s world. What contributes the most to Liz‟s success? In my opinion, it is her strong DESIRE! Under such a bad circumstance, Liz has no choice except studying as hard as she can. She wants to change her current living condition, thus she can further change her future life. Because of this simple reason, Liz spends almost all her time in studying, even on the way to the school. Her Mom‟s passing away is a great turning point in her life. She knows that one must try her best to do well as long as she is alive. Some people live just to survive, but she knows she survives to live, to live a bright and meaningful life! She wants to change the condition and she knows working hard can make it come true, so she does, studying day and night . What does Liz have? Almost nothing! But she had her dream! She wanted to change her life! She wanted to reach her goal! With her intelligence and diligence , after so many pains and efforts, Liz finished her senior high school‟s lessons in only two years! she was admitted to Harvard and finally gets the scholarship provided by New York Times . From homeless Born-loser to Harvard doctoral student, Liz creates a miracle!(Play 《红日》)Is there a nything else contributes to Liz‟s success? The answer is definitely YES! S o, what‟s it? It is LOVE! It‟s love that has stopped the girl from falling. It‟s love that makes this little girl believe that there are many things in the world worth pursuing. Although her parents never brings her anything good,, she still loves them deeply. That is also the most moving movie clips that I would remember. I still remember the lines:” I love my mother so much. I mean, shewas a drug addict, she was an alcoholic, she was legally blind, and she was a schizophrenic. But I never forgot that she loved me, even if she died, all the time all the time...”When her mother returned home from drug-addict center, Liz was happy and excited to see her mother; when she learned that her mother got AIDS, she didn‟t desert her .On the contrary, she begged h er mother to stay with her . She…d like to take care of her. Because to Liz, only a house with mum could be called home . She loved her mother so deeply no matter what her mother is, or what her mother will be . At her mother …s funerals, she slept on the coffin ,recalling those happy days her mother had ever brought to her . Liz gave inclusive love to her parents rather than complained about the sad life her parents brought to her ,rather than hated them for not having gave her a happy and normal childhood. This really touched me . How about you, guys? Love, the most brightly shining word, is another sun that lights up everyone‟s heart. When faced with all kinds of difficulties, Liz showed us great strength. Instead of complaint, fear and surrender, Liz just accepted it courageously and pulled all her energy to make a change . When asked about her experiences, she still feltthat she was lucky. When all securities were driven away from her, when she had nothing to hold on to, when there‟s no going back, the girl looked forward bravely, worked as hard as possibly by herself to pull herself out of the condition she was born in.Hi, guys, when deeply impressed by her tremendous strength , shouldn‟t we learn to be strong? Yes! Nothing can defeat us!Sometimes , as is the case with Liz , we have no choice but to stick to moving towards and appreciate all the hardships rather than complain , to find the beauties in the despair of life .Liz sets a good example to us and I am convinced that as long as we keep on moving , one day we will achieve our goals !When Liz was standing on Harvard University platform, a reporter asked her: “Liz, how did you do this?” Liz answered:“How can I not do it?My parents showed me what possibility was.” Don‟t you admire her?!Aren‟t you touched by her words?! Wanna a Thumbs- up for her? Absolutely YES!All of us can change our fate, if we have dream and double efforts. We need to face reality optimistically .No matter how many difficulty we may meet in our life, choose our road to re ach our goal until our life becomes meaningful! Don‟tcomplain our misfortune! Rainbow won't been seen until you have experienced difficulties. Just as Liz says, “I‟m smart, I know I can succeed. I just need a chance, a chance to climb out of this place I was born in. It‟s very improbable, but not impossible”Sometimes we just need the courage to say that we have no choice but being successful, the courage to say that we must try harder to win more respects, the courage to say that I am gonna work as hard as I possibly can, and see what will happen!Guys, as you are fighting, please keep in mind---If you think you can, you can! That‟s all, thank you!2015年4月15日。
高中英语作文影评带翻译Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Storyis one of my most favorite movie, telling the motivational story of a Harvard girl Liz Murray. Liz has a tragic childhood. Her parents took drugs and she began to beg at her eight. When she was fifteen years old, her mother died of AIDS and her father entered the shelter. However, she was not degenerate but, when she was seventeen, she finished four years of high school courses in two years and got the 1996 The New York Times first-class scholarship, admitted to Harvard. This film is a wake-up call, expressing a poor suffering girl who changes her life with perseverance, faith and strong willpower, showing the theme that once you work hard, you can achieve. I am deeply moved by this film and the story of Liz. I think I can feel her weakness when she was in trouble and hardness, but allshe does proves that she would never be struck down by the reality. She always owns the faith that she can change her life by herself. I think it’s a faith that we should have, too.《风雨哈佛路》:莉兹穆雷的故事是我最喜欢的电影之一,它讲述的是一个哈佛女孩莉兹穆雷的励志故事。

风雨哈佛路影评1A fter we finished the final exam, i saw a film at school called "Homeless To Harvard". It's a inspiration film which is based on an autobiography called "Breaking Night", it's written by Liz Murray. It's about a miserable girl, both her parents take drugs, she became a beggar when she was only 8 years old. When she was 15, her mother died because of AIDs. When she was 17, she spent two years to finish four-year course, then she got the scholarship from New York Times and went into Harvard. The director is Peter Levin. The film stars Thora Birch as Liz Murray and it's set in America.i think it's a good film because the storyline is excellent and the soundtrack is fantastic as well. Also the lines in this film are brillient. Like "I knew at that moment I had to make a choice. I could submit to everything that was happening and live a life of excuses... or I could push myself. I could push myself and make my life good.".So, if you want to be successful, you must struggle form the goal you have made, and also, sometimes you need to be lucky. I think Liz is lucky, because she met that principle when she was in the school, and that principle gave her a chance. Without that chance, she might can't go into Harvard. Every successful person have one very important person to help him/her, or change him/her, and for Liz, i think that important person is that principle.2Film review: Homeless To HarvardHomeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story is an American TV film directed by Peter Levin. It was first released on April 7, 2003 in the United States. This movie is adapted from Liz Murray's autobiography, Breaking Night. Main actors are Thora Birch,Michael Riley, Robert Bockstael, Makyla Smith, Kelly Lynch. This film was edited by Ronni Kern and its music was done by Louis Febre.Thora Birch stars as Liz Murray who was born in American slums. Liz Murray is the daughter of an extremely dysfunctional Bronx family and her parents are drug-addicted, alcoholics and her mother has mental disease. As a girl, she need beg out to look for food. When Liz was 15, her mother died of HIV and she became homeless. Life suffering seems endless. As slowly growing, Liz knew only success can change her fate. She got an examination paper from a teacher and finished greatly. Then she got the opportunity to study and began her work to finish high school. At last, Liz became a star student and earned a scholarship to Harvard University through an essay contest sponsored by the New York Times. This film didn’t cost much money, but in fact those who saw the film would say this is the most moving film. Director deduced a true story in which a girl overcame adverse conditions and paid efforts to be succeeded. In the film Liz told us no matter how difficult the situation was, we must cheer up and work with perseverance. Only in the dark sky, we could look up to see the stars in the sky. Liz is a strong person. She never get lost, even though she live d by herself, her father and her mother died, and had no decent clothes when interview. Nothing could get worse, but she was still surviving in the environment. In her life, struggle is the eternal theme.3Generally, made for television movies are on a level below theatrical endeavors. However, `Homeless To Harvard' is a surprising and welcome exception. Without question it is one of the best made for television movies ever produced. This true story of Liz Murray continually strikes your primal emotional chord throughout the movie. The story is told in a stark realistically convincing manner. Excellent performances are turned in by Jennifer Pisana and Thora Birch as Liz at slightly different ages and by Kelly Lynch as Liz's alcoholic and drug addicted mother Jean. Unfortunately, the world has an ample supply of dysfunctional parents. Most often, their own children use them as an excuse to be equally dysfunctional. How uplifting tohave a child use their parent's dysfunctional behavior, not as an excuse to sink into oblivion, but rather as a reason to not follow in their footsteps. This movie is all about choices. Anyone of any age who watches this movie will be left with absolutely no excuse to wallow in self pity. While this movie is a remarkable endeavor, it could have been even better. Understandably you can only fit so much content into a movie. Moreover,I'm certain that the writers included all of the key elements of Liz's life. However, this movie would have stood in a class by itself if only they had delved into Liz's true character. They did an exceptional job of depicting the decadent life that she was subject to, her reactions to it, and her existence within it. However, you don't get to see inside of Liz to actually know what she's all about. In addition, I sensed that we were shown a slightly whitewashed portrait of Liz in contrast to her true self. I suspect that she was in fact a little less innocent and a little more tarnished and troublesome than she was portrayed to be. If there's one unanswered question lingering on viewer's minds, it has to be: Why, after overcoming such insurmountable adversity, did she end up leaving Harvard? All that aside, 'Homeless To Harvard' is truly a triumph of the human spirit movie. This will be a treasured prize for your DVD/VHS collection when it becomes available。
风雨哈佛路的英文观后感(5篇)This film deals with a story that Liz goes through all the difficulties to realize herself .Liz , strong-minded , grows up in the environment filled with cigarettes , drags , alcohol . Not having a happy family , Liz , burdened with all unpleasant things , finally loses her home which has gone out of order , Dad going to the dirty Welfare and Mom infected with Aids having to live in lecherous grandpa’s with her sister . However ,Liz has no choice but to live a reprobate life . Life is always full of surprising changes . Mom’s passing away seems to be a great turning point in her life , thus ma-ki-ng her decide to push herself into a marvelous life . She begins to attend school , studying day and night . With her intelligence and diligence , she poses as the first one to be admitted to Harvard in time and finally gets the scholarship provided by New York Times .What impresses me a lot is her spirit by which she overcomes all the obstacles on her way to happine. And also , the true drive maybe love , one for family and herself . Although surrounded withsuch terrible environment at her young age , she still thinks the most memorable thing is her mother taking her to a park , screaming and laughing instead of her great achievement .“I can find plenty of excuses to give in to this life and also I can push myself towards a better life ” , says her . I am guessing that the director indicates a fact that people struggling in the lowest clashould have such a desire to fight against the unfair to realize themselves . And I realize in a flash that there exists many persons like Liz around China , taking Hong Zhanhui for example . Sometimes , as is the case with Liz , we have no choice but to stick to moving towards and appreciate all the hardships rather than complain , to find the beauties in the despair of life .Liz lays a good example to us and I am convinced that as long as we keep on moving , one day we will achieve our goals !风雨哈佛路的英文观后感篇2“Please dont close your eyes. The Impression of Homeless to Harvard The film Homeless to Harvard tells us a very inspiring story about the girl Liz Murray who is admitted to Harvard. However, the most important is that she comes from the American slums. Her mother is a crazy woman, who is drugging, excessive drinking, sometimes even taking the only 5 dollars from her daughters to buy drugs. She doesn’t care about her home, her husband, even her two young daughters who are eager to enjoy the maternal love. Liz’s father also cares little about his home. She can’t have a good meal at home. Not only in family but also in school, Liz need to bear the laughing from her classmates. She is always absent in school. Later her mother is diagnosed with cancer. Then she goes to the shelters. Later, because of an accident, she was driven from the shelters. Everything is in desperation. But she didn’t give up. Through her own effort, she went to Harvard.Liz suffered too much I think. After watching this film, I imagined that if I were her, I couldn’t do as outstanding as her. Maybe I will abandon myself. Wandering on the streets, I will spend a boring day in my life. Maybe I will be a bad girl. In my opinion the theme of this film is about positive and struggling. Never give up.Her mother is always drugging, while she still loves her mother deeply. There are two scenes that make me touched. The first is that when her mother is forced to leave home to go to the addiction treatment centre. Her mother is very painful and trembling. Liz doesn’t want to be left alone, she shouted, cried and hugged her mother. Nothing does work. Her mother leaves her. She was in great sorrow. I also cried when I saw this scene, it’s not easy to say goodbye to mom. Even Liz’s mother cares little about her, but she also needs maternal love .So we are so lucky ,we need to treasure our mother’s love more and more. The second scene is that after Liz’s mother’s death. Liz and her friend Chris go to the burial field to burry her mother. At the last moment, Liz jumped into the pit to lie on her mother’s coffin, like hugging her mother. She must doesn’t want to leave her mom alone. She loves her mother. In the film, she never criticizes her mother for not caring about her. She never complains about her life. In the bottom of Liz’s heart, there must be full of sunshine. She is a positive and optimistic girl. I think nothing can defeat a person who is positive and optimistic. Never lose heart in life when you suffered distress and failure. To be a superman, those who can't kill you will make you stronger in the final. In the path of our growth, we may face so many things, but please remember to never lose faith. It’s no doubt that Liz is a very smart girl. At the beginning of the film, she gets 100 in her class quiz after her so many absent days in school .Intelligence is not enough to let her go to Harvard. Diligence may be more important. When she has the chance to go to the high school, she seizes every chance to learn, and she reads many books. She always stays up so late in the school. She is a girl who knows her goals. She knows how to realize her dream, only work hard. Don’t look down upon the effect of the dream. It can make one to try their best to struggle. So ask our hearts who we want to be, what we want to have. Then work hard. This film is about love, courage and optimistic. It’s a remarkable film to encourage people to treasure the life and be positive to face the difficulties.Love life, and love everything surrounding us. Be a happy person.。
A Film Review of Homeless to Harvard
Based on a true story that a girl who lead a poor and unfortunate life was admitted to the Harvard by means of her determination and hard working,”Homeless to Harvard”is a very inspiring, meaningful andtouching film played in 2003.The movie shoot by Peter Levin, and this is his most successful work in hisdirector career.
Personally, in this movie, the most impressive part is when the leading role Liz visited the Harvard, looking at those college students who looked happy and hopeful, she thought about her past life and the unknown future. At that time, she made up her mind to try her best to become the one here and become a real new person, and she knew that”
I just need a chance.”We can even feel the desire of changing lit up her mind, and gave me endless strength in her eyes. After that, she never lost her aim under poverty and helpless, as brave as she could be, Liz is the strongest girl in Harvard.
In the film, the statement of Liz Murray promotes thedevelopment of plotof the film, her life before she went to the Harvard is shown in flashback. And this two methods made the film more Persuasive and vivid. When she reached her destination, no one can deny that she deserve it, she deserve the Harvard because of her unmovable faith.。
