考试前复习重点Part11. Where are you from? /2. Can you tell me something about your home town/village?/ history of your hometown..3. What’s the weather like in your home town/village?4. Are you proud of your home town/village? Why?.5. Can you tell me something about your family?6. Can you say something more about yourself?7. Could you say something about your work/job/study?8. How important is English/computer for your work?.9. Do you have any hobbies? (Do you like sports?)10.What do you do in your spare time?=hobby11. What do you hope to do in the next few years?.12 If you have an opportunity to go abroad, which country would you like to go to? Why?Part2Part 2 PlacesFrom the pictures, I can see two places, and both of them are modern cities. In the first picture, it is a city with spacious grassland, high skyscrapers and clean environment. There are many people relaxing on the grassland. In the second picture, I can also see a modern city with many high buildings and trees. It looks crowded and dirty. You can see many cars crowed on the road. I guess that the first picture shows us the clean city and life must be convenient there! It looks quiet and tidy. It must have not any pollution in the areas. You can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery. However, in the second picture, it must have the common problems modern cities faced, such as pollution, traffic jam, over-population, pressure etc. That’s what I see and feel about the pictures.Part 2 Sample ---travelNow let me try to compare and contrast these photographs and telling you why people choose different places for traveling. In the first photograph, a group of people is traveling across the desert by driving jeeps. Now may be they stop and have a rest. The traces of the jeeps are obviously seen in the photograph. In the second one, a young couple is just down a luxury ship and walking along the seashore. Maybe they are in their honeymoon.Traveling in desert, there may no roads, no shops, no campground and no facilities. However, people can experience the adventure, exciting and unique culture. In contrast, traveling in a city by seashore is convenient, comfortable and relaxing. People can also benefit from the pleasant weather, the fresh air, and many kinds of delicious seafoods. That’s what I saw and perceived from the two pictures.Part 2 Sample --- SportsThere are three photographs showing different kinds of sports. The first one is about basketball which is team activity; while the second and the third are cycling and yoga respectively which are individual activities. Compare with those photographs, we can understand some essence of playing those exercises. The team activity needs participants cooperate well with each other, and the personal skill is not the only thing that matter. It also need someone sacrifices to support the other to show his/her personal skill and win for the whole team. On the other hand, the individual activity does not need cooperation, so personal techniques and skills values much more than cooperation. And it will also help the participant to relax himself/herself and keep his/her own fit. That is what I feel about it.Part 2 Sample --- Transport 1Here are two photographs. From them I can see two means of transportation, and both are modern. The first one shows that a plane is flying; the second one shows that a bus is on the road.By plane is fast and convenient, while the fare is quite expensive compare with other means of transportations. In addition, it will take longer time to go the airports which is normally far away from the downtown of cities. (check in, weather etc.)By bus, It’s not expensive and convenient to take. You also can enjoy the scenery on the roads. But sometimes it’s slow, crowded and uncomfortable. What’s more, the bus will be affected by the traffic problems. Anyway, it’s a popular transportation for ordinary people. That is what I can see and feel from these photographs.Sample---Lifestyle 2In the first picture, a man is doing outdoor sport—roller-skating. He sweats a lot and looks strong and healthy. In the second picture, a lady is watching TV. She’s sitting still in a sofa and eating popcorns. She looks excited and seems to be attracted by the program on TV.These two pictures show us how people nowadays spend their spare time. Some of them would prefer to do outdoor activities.Others would prefer to stay at home, watching TV. In my opinion, the former is a much healthier way than the latter. In modern society, people are under great pressure and stay longer at work. Doing outdoor exercises can help them relax by enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, the beautiful landscape and even chatting with friends. While staying too many hours before TV is likely to cause m any serious health problems. Therefore, I’d prefer to choose outdoor activities in my spare time.Sample---feelingI have 2 pictures. Both of them show me human feeling/emotion.In the first picture, I can see a mother and her son standing at a railway station/on platform. The son was about to leave by train. “Take care of yourself!” The mother said to her son again and again. Words seemed endless. Separation is really a sad thing. They won’t say goodbye to eachother but they must do so.In the second picture, the ship arrived at the port/harbor just now. The passengers were getting off the ship. And the seaman/sailor, after a long travel, eventually met his wife and his cute baby again. How happy they were! It seemed that the baby was crying. Her tears came to her eyes. The two situations are common to all of us. They are both the most sincere emotions deeply in our heart. It is with exception that people like the second. We can’t stand the separation from our family or our close friends. But I think the two feelings like two twin brothers. When there is reunion, separation will arise some time. No separation no reunion. (or vice versa)without sadness from separation, how can we have happiness from reunion? When we have to say goodbye, we are expecting the next exciting reunion. And the second picture is just the result of the separation.Part 3 CollaborationTopic: Discuss the trend of globalization.A: Well, Let’s talk about the trend of globalization. With the development of wo rld economic, the trend of globalization has become more and more clear. It seems that nothing could hold back the steps of globalization. What do you think about it?B: In fact, along with economic growth, many trade Unions have been founded. WTO is one example. These trade Unions make global regulations to control the world economy. This is one of reasons to lead to Globalization. Do you think so?A: That’s right. Globalization brought remarkable progress in science and technology and giant improvemen ts in living standards. It’s the most effective way to overcome poverty and unemployment. So, I think globalization is a good thing. Do you think so?B: I don’t think so. Globalization cannot do goodness to developing countries but only benefit develope d countries. It’s reported that the subsistence livelihoods of millions of people in developing countries have been destroyed by global trade, 60000 workers have lost their jobs in the last two years.A.Really? Every coin has two sides, so globalization must have its positive effects and negativeeffects, after all it is a trend.B.Yes, you are right.Discuss about private carsA: In China today, more and more families have realized their dreams of owning cars. The private cars have given people large freedom that their ancestors never thought of. Cars help people move from one place to another quickly and conveniently, especially , help to shorten the time on the way to work. Think about driving a car on the high way instead of taking the crowed, sweaty, and smelly bus, the feeling is just wonderful. How do you think about it? Do you havea car?B: Yes, I have a car. I used to spend an hour to go to work by bus or bicycle. Now, it only takes me half an hour by my car. In the past, I often spent spare time at home. Because I think the communication is inconvenient. Now, I can drive to countryside for a trip and breathe fresh air.D efinitely the private car is helpful in our work and life, isn’t it?A: Yes, In addition, as a result of having private cars people also have much more freedom to choose to live in the suburb, larger space and fresher air. Moreover, the private cars have not only changed their living habit, but also brought a kind of new lifestyle. Just as you said, people who used to stay at home during holidays now would like to take a trip with the whole family to countryside, mountain field, or even another city by driving cars. The reason I think why the private cars increased so quickly was that the cars do great benefits not only to the private families, but also to the national economy. It has greatly encouraged the development of automobile industry, as well as made the large growth in many relative crafts such as energy, rubber, electronic equipment, automobile services, hotels, entertainments, tourism, banks and insurance services etc. meanwhile, of course, it is helpful for employment. Accordingly, the private cars have become the symbols of modern life representing quickness, efficiency, and convenience.B: Yes, but every coin has two sides. Private cars really cause a lot of troubles in big cities. Traffic jam is the first and noticeable problem. It is reported that Beijing has had one million 800 thousand automobiles. Although the government has already invested a large amount of money to improve the traffic system and the traffic system and build many new roads, but they sometimes failed to meet the need of increasing automobiles.A: That’s the case. I think one solution is to encourage the use of public traffic transformation, such as: bus, subway, light railway and taxis. Meanwhile, raising the prices of cars insurance premiums and traffic fines is the alternative solution.B: Oh, yes, in conclusion, I think the private cars are helpful to us, as well to our economy and life.On one hand, the government ought to encourage the development of private cars, on the other hand, they should work out strategies in coping with the problems.Topic: What do you plan to do if you are sent abroad to study?A: Well, Let’s talk about our future plan s. Do you have any plan if you have chance to go abroad? B: Sure, I’d like to do further study if I have chance to go abroad.A: What do you mean to study?B: First, I want to improve my English. I hope I can have a perfect command of English. Then, I will try to learn something related to my work. You know, I am a government official, so I plan to learn “ Public Administration.” It will do better to my work. How about you?A: That’s a good idea. As for me, English is my favorite now. If I have the chance to go abroad, I expect to go further to learn English well. At the same time, I will learn something related to politics and law. I am really interested in the politics and legal system of America. After all, my major is law.B: That sounds nice. Do you want to be a lawyer?A: Maybe not. The current work is suitable for me. I do hope to learn something new from otherdeveloped countries to refresh my work.B: Well, that means we have the same ideas. In other words, learning English is the first ting for us to do further study abroad.A: That’s right. We should cherish the opportunity and try our best to learn English well.重点题目:1.Do happiness and money always go together? DiscussA.I agree that happiness and money always to together. For example, if a person cannothave enough money to buy food and clothes, he will feel hungry and cold. How can he feel happy?B.However, Psychological studies show that the wealthier people are experiencing themore intense negative emotions. These studies do not link wealth with greater experienced happiness. So I think that happiness and money doesn’t go together.A.When people have a great deal of money they can buy luxury car, big house and live a goodlife. All of these can make people happy.B. happiness is the psychological experience of people. But money is something that can bring substance enjoy of life. Those are two different concepts and they can’t be always go together. For example, a rich man may not have the love he has pursued in all his life time. How can he be happy?A.If I become rich I will feel that I am successful and be happy.B. When you start making more money, you spend more time making money -- and have less leisure time -- than you did before. "The activities that higher-income individuals spend relatively more of their time engaged in are associated with no greater happiness, but with slightly higher tension and stressstress,"A. Maybe you are right. Let us talk about this issue later.A&B: Thank you!2.Do you think the current tuition fee for college education is reasonable or not? Discuss A. Well, some colleges in our country collect high tuition fees from the students, some even as high as 10000 yuan a year. This result in some students from the poor families can’t afford the high tuition fees and have to leave the colleges. In my opinion, our government should set up some disciplines and keep the tuition fee for college education at a reasonable level. Do you agree?B. Sorry, I don’t quite agree with you. The colleges in our country also have difficulties to find money to support the modern teaching equipments, the salaries of the teachers, and other affairs.A .But all of these money can be come from the government. Developed countries, such as Canada, college students need not pay tuition fee.B. However, China is a developing country. The education investment from our government is still inadequate. The students’ tuition fee is the main financial source of the colleges.A. You are right. But I still think that the tuition fee is too high in certain colleges. Immediate measures should be taken by our government to solve the problem.B. This is an important issue discussed by TV programs and newspapers at present. Let us talk about it later.A&B: Thank you!3.Think about our society, which categories of people deserve the most help? DiscussA. In our society, some kinds of people need help. But in my view, the disabled people deserve the most help. Do you agree?B. Yes, I agree with you. The disabled people are very poor. They don’t have the ability to work and earn money for living. We should give them more help. For example, we can donate some money, food or clothes to them.A. You are right. And our government should give them more help, too. Some people suggest that the government pension should grant to the disabled.B. Yes, the enterprises run by the disabled should be tax-free. And all the people shouldn’t discriminate them.A What is more, the education of the disabled is an important issue we are facing. Teachers and teaching equipments are all essential for the disabled school.B. People in our country have been aware that the disabled people deserve the most help. We have many schools for the disabled and there are some majors for the college students to learn how to teach the disable.A Yes, for example, there is a major named special education in Beijing normal university. They even learn gesture language.B.That is great! Let us talk about the issue later.A&B: Thank you!4.What do “ideal job” mean to you?A. Well, let’s talk about the “ideal job”. In my opinion, an ideal job means high salary because I think that only the salary can prove a person’s capability.B. I don’t quite agree with you. An ideal job also means challenging, interesting and more opportunity to be promoted. We work for various reasons. Of course, the first reason is to earn money to support our families. The other reason is to gain the feeling of satisfactory from work. A. Yes. You are right. Self-realization is very important. For example, one of my friends change his job from a joint venture which paid him 6000 a month to a college which only pays him 3000 a month. He said that:” To be a teacher is more meaningful than a clerk in the company. ” He is interested in teaching. Well, what do you mean challenging?B. To fulfill a challenging task, people may feel satisfied. So an ideal job may be very challenging.A. I see. It is really a interesting issue. Let us talk about it later.A&B: Thank you!5.How do you think about the apathy of the people in the society?A. Well, let us talk about the apathy of the people in the society. BFT考试(全国出国培训备选人员外语水平考试)-20(总分:90.00,做题时间:90分钟)一、Reading(总题数:5,分数:90.00)Happy Customers: Matter of Honor among JapaneseIn an age when personal service as a significant aspect of merchandising is dying out in the Untied States, Japan clings tenaciously to it. Service is viewed by people in Japan not as a luxury, but as an essential ingredient for the success of individual companies and the Japanese economy as a whole.Americans who move to Japan never get used to the range of services and courtesies taken for granted here. (1)Supermarket check-out counters have two or three people ringing up and bagging groceries. Some stores deliver, with each bag arriving neatly stapled closed. (2)Television shops normally send a technician to install and fine-tune a newly purchased set. (3) Car salespeople are known to bring new models around to customers' homes for test drives and loaners are available for people whose cars are in for repairs. There are no limits to what is home-delivered —video movies, dry cleaning, health foods, rented tailcoats (this last one requires tow visits from the sales staff, first for a fitting, second for delivery of the altered and freshly pressed garment). (4)Japanese barbers often give back massages as part of an ordinary haircut. (5)Department stores seem to have twice, if not three times the floor staff of American ones. (6) Upscale customers don't have to come in at all — the goods are taken to their homes for display and selection.Perhaps the darkest spot on personal service in Japan is how remarkably impersonal it can be. Everyone is treated exactly alike. (7) After a month's stay in a hotel, guests may find the staff still has no idea who they are.Still, the Japanese view service as the glue that holds commercial relationships together. If the correct personal contact and follow-up come with the first sale, a second is sure to come. Market share and loyal customers are the first goal, not short-term profit. (8)A. The technician will rush back if anything goes wrong.B. If they remove a customer's eyeglasses, they may polish the lenses before returning them.C. Employee's cheery greetings and directions, in fact, are often memorized from a company manual.D. Many stores wrap everything they sell.E. Service may cost but it helps ensure these more important objectives.F. Dry ice is inserted alongside the frozen foods to ensure that they don't spoil on the way.G. Office deliveries are common, too, especially of lunch.H. To those old enough to remember how things used to be at home, life can bring on twinges of nostalgia.(分数:16.00)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:H)解析:[解析] 此空格前面那句说的是移居日本的美国人从来没能习惯在这里被视为理所当然的服务和礼节的范畴。
