熟练掌握英语是国际化人才的基本条件而国际化人才的英语能力主要通过大学英语课程来培养和提高。
目前,高校在大学英语教学中,大多以基础英语为主要的教学内容,教学设计和组织安排均围绕教学内容展开,忽视了毕业要求对大学生英语语言运用能力培养的要求,以及对大学生通识能力素质培养的要求。
对实践教学的研究和实施主要集中在专业课程上,缺乏对大学英语这类公共基础课的探索,也没能将大学英语实践能力培养的各个环节构成一个完整的体系进行研究。
具体现状如下:(1)大部分的高校只是在大一和大二阶段开设大学英语课程,每周约4课时。
后续没有其他的英语课程。
(2)大学英语教师方面课堂上注重理论知识传授,而学生的听说读写方面的实践能力得不到锻炼。
