Benevolence is never too small
Christina 3016211036
In the passage “The Starfish Story”, a young man tossed the starfish
into the ocean one after another, which helped those starfish stay alive;
In the movie "The Blind Side", Leigh Anne Tuohy and her family adopted
Michael Oher, which changed Oher’s whole life. Maybe we seem to be
too small in the complete cosmos to make a difference, however, when
everybody adds fuel, the flames will rise higher and higher. Similarly, if
everyone in the world takes actions and gives love to each other, we will
surely make the earth a warmer and better place to live!
In all my days, I believe in every good thing, at the same time, I’d
like to do everything I could to create things which is goodto others and
to make the world a better place. I hold the door for people walking
behind me, I help take out the trash of my roommates, I pay for those
who don’t have small change on the bus…I do those small things which
won’t make any difference in some people’s eyes, but I still do it only
because I believe that love can be spread.
What’s more, I’m planning to aid students in the poverty-stricken
areas and volunteer myself in poor villages for two months next summer.
I hope to open the eyes of students in underdeveloped regions to the
outside world by bringing them new knowledge and thoughts and
to
improve their education quality as well. When helping others, we helpourselves, for whatever good we give out will complete the
circle
and comes back to us. By volunteering to teach, I’ll not only receive
a
rigorous training by adapting to the harsh living conditions, but
also
can enjoy the appreciation and no-distance friendship from the children.
A saying said:“Having a thousand credentials on the wall will
not
make you a decent human being. But genuinely helping one
person
everyday will.” Benevolence is never too small, also, it’s never too late
to do good!
