• The drama made by shakespeare in 1596.And it belongs to Shakespeare's early works. • About Shakespeare’s comedy,usually have funny plot , romantic love story , sometimes have the conflicts with relatives . But in the end , comedies always have happy ending . • Comparing with the tragedies written by Shakespeare ,his comedies are more interesting and more easy . They don’t have many complicated relationship or some deep normal human feelings.

Part 1

Egeus complained to duke that his daughter Hermia , whom he had commanded to marry Demetrius , refused to obey him, because she loved Lysander. Egeus wanted to use the law to force his daughter . So Hermia and Lysander planed to escape from Athens to another place . And they decided to meet in the wood . Hermia told their plan to her good friend Helena . As the result of love for Demetrius , Helena told him what Hermia had told her . Demetrius wanted to stop Hermia in the wood , and Helena followed him .

Oberon saw Helena and Demetrius in the wood by accident , realizing Helena loved Demetrius so much ,Oberon felt sorry for Helena and he decided to use love juice to make Demetrius love Helena. He told Puck what he wanted to do ,but Puck putted love juice on Lysander’s eyelids because he thought Lysander was Demetrius . The first person Lysander saw was Helena ,so he loved Helena . At the same time , love juice putted on Demetrius’s eyelids and that made him love Helena because she was the first person he saw . All the things made Hermia surprised and angry even having a fight with Helena . Oberon also putted love juice to queen’s eyelids , and the first thing her saw was an ass. She loved the ass at once.

The wood in which Lysander and Hermia planed to meet was the fairyland. Oberon was the king and Titania was the queen. At the same time , they were quarrelling about a little changeling boy. Oberon wanted to have the boy as his henchman, but Titania didn’t give him to Oberon. In order to give her a lesson , he asked his Puck to get love-in-idleness. If you putted the juice from the love-in-idleness on sleeping man’s eyelids , the man would fell in love with the first creature he or she saw.

After realizing that they all did wrong, the king and Puck decided to stop all things . Puck used magic to let the four humans sleep , and put love juice on their eyelids . When they opened their eyes , Lysander saw Hermia and Demetrius saw Helena. They went back to the Athens . Bacause Demee, Hermia ‘s father didn’t force her to marry Demetrius . Besides, the four people hold weddings on the same day. Oberon removed the magic of the love juice on Titania and made peace with each other . At that moment , they knew that they all did wrong , and they lived together , had a happy life . It is the happy ending in Midsummer Night’s Dream.
---- crazy , eyeless for love , a little selfish . She loved Demetrius so deeply that she lost herself and followed him everywhere ,which was crazy and eyeless . When Demetrius and Lysander loved her , she enjoyed it and left her friend Hermia alone. We can see she is a little selfish .
