1ORDERING INFORMATIONDESCRIPTION

The SC1182/3 combines a synchronous voltage modecontroller with two low-dropout linear regulatorsproviding most of the circuitry necessary to implementthree DC/DC converters for powering advancedmicroprocessors such as Pentium® II (Klamath) orDeschutes.

The SC1182/3 switching section features an integrat-ed 5 bit D/A converter, pulse by pulse current limiting,integrated power good signaling, and logic compatibleshutdown. The SC1182/3 switching section operatesat a fixed frequency of 200kHz, providing an optimumcompromise between size, efficiency and cost in theintended application areas. The integrated D/A con-verter provides programmability of output voltagefrom 2.0V to 3.5V in 100mV increments and 1.30V to2.05V in 50mV increments with no external compo-nents.

The SC1182/3 linear sections are low dropout regula-tors. The SC1182 supplies 1.5V for GTL bus and 2.5Vfor non-GTL I/O.

For the SC1183 both LDO’s are adjustable.

1DESCRIPTIONThe SC1110 is a low-cost, full featured, synchronousvoltage-mode controller designed to generate termina-tion voltage in double data rate (DDR) memory sys-tems and other applications where wide data bus needto be actively terminated. Synchronous control of theMOSFET half bridge allows power flowing bi-directionally. The termination voltage can be tightlyregulated to track the chipset voltage, i.e. to be exactly50% of that at all times.The SC1110 is ideal for low cost implementation of ter-mination voltage supplies.
