高中英语优秀说课稿《What Is Beauty(unit 18)》

一、教材分析

1、本单元是北师大版选修6unit 18阅读材料,教学内容贴近现代生活,富有较强的时代气息。本文重在知识点和篇章理解上。学生对该文的学习,可以学习一些阅读理解能力和了解更多关于美的词句表达。美包括外在美和内在美。外在美会受到时间、文化和社会的影响。由于人们的审视角度不同,对美的评价标准也不同。但要积极引导学生意识到美的重要性和发现生活中存在的真美。在教学活动的设计上对学生提出了更高的要求,特别是在听力和阅读方面。

2、我们所面临的学生大多基础很差,在对课文的阅读理解方面存在很大难度。主要表现在看不懂,听不懂,理解就更难了。因此,在教学中应从基础做起,有区分度,以使不同水平的学生均有所收获。

二、教学内容

本模块的标题是beauty is in the eye of the beholder,是单元教学中的重点,一般分两节课进行,我要说的是阅读训练课。课文由Margaret Wolfe Hungerford的beauty is in the eye of the beholder开题。从传统与时尚以及社会本身的发展变化推导出美也是变化的观点;当代社会文化对人的审美观有着很大的影响;随着历史,社会及文化的影响人们对美的标准有了不同程度的认识;内在美和外在美。最后得出“情人眼里出西施”的结论。

三、教学目标

1、认知目标

①了解美的标准随着不同时期和文化群体的不同而改变;

②了解并掌握used to 和would 的区别及用法。

2、技能目标

①培养学生的阅读理解能力;

②培养学生获取并处理具体信息的能力;

③能发表自己对美的看法。

3、情感目标

学生应该更多的熟读了解关于美的文章,拓展知识,开阔视野,从而正确认识对美作出客观评价,在日常生活中去寻找身边真正的美。

四、教学重难点与难点

本课阅读容量正常,阅读材料内容对于我们所带的学生来说相对较难,所以本课教学的难点之一在于帮助学生分析句子结构正确理解复杂的长句和区别处理used to 和would的用法。难点之二在于复述课文,因为复述课文在对学生记忆知识、消化知识、能力输出(即学生的用)等方面提出了更高的要求。

五、教学辅助工具:录音机、多媒体

六、教学流程,设计意图

1. 导入从单元话题引入课文标题,并简介课文内容,为学生阅读课文作铺垫。

2.词汇准备(5分钟)复习单词表上相关单词;用幻灯片呈现在课文中出现、学生学过但可能不记得的词并进行学习(如adapt, criteria)。这样学生就可以避免因查单词而打断思路或因认错词而错误理解了。

3. 听录音,获取段落大意(6分钟)通过该步骤的训练培养学生找出主题句或者概括段落大意、理清文章结构能力。幻灯片可以方便快捷地向学生展示文章清晰的框架结构。4.Detailed Reading(12分钟)完成language focus 和Reading . 培养学生获取具体信息及的能力。充分利用多媒体工具完成Before you start的1和2,并趁热打铁让学生阅读文章划出较难识读和理解的词汇和句子。并粗略了解文章的大意。

5.再读,复述课文(7分钟)把段落大意连起来,出文中各段的关键句,理解Beauty在不同情况下的变化(或评价标准)。这种较高要求的语言输出能促使学生消化知识,发展其英语思维的能力。教师先带领学生复述一次,可以降低难度。

6.难句解析(5分钟)分析文中一些长句的结构,适当运用翻译以帮助学生理解。

7.讨论(6分钟)让学生谈谈他们自己所理解的美,并和老师及同学分享他们的观点。此步骤为学生发挥自主性与创造性提供了了较多的空间。

8.小结对本课节所学内容进行简要总结。

七、作业布置:要求学生写一段60-80词左右的关于美的短文,文中要求写出自己对美的真实看法,表明自己的观点。

八、板书设计:tittle及一些重点词,词组及难句的板书。

九、教学评价:本节课在备学生方面做得不够详细,作业的布置能较好的检验学生对课文的理解程度。

九、教学反思

本次教学基本达到了教学目标,解决了难点,凸显了重点,但有遗憾之处:在Detailed Reading中,由于时间关系未能逐段设置问题;语法点的处理仍不够仔细,在下一节课中应加以复习。
