Teaching aims:
Let the students learn some beautiful and classical English songs.
Let the students talk about what the English songs about and learn the usage of some phrases or sentences.
Practise the students’ listening skills.

Teaching steps:
Step 1 Warming up
1. Enjoy the video of a song:
“Auld Long Syne” (友谊地久天长-- 魂断蓝桥Waterloo Bridge)
2. Ask the students what they think of the song. (What’s the song about?)
3. Introduce the film -- Waterloo Bridge.
4. Talk about friends. (Show some sentences about friends or friendship)
Step 2 Listening
1. Listen to a song and fill in the blanks: “Shining friends”
2. Check the answers.
3. Listen to it again and learn to sing it.
4. What do you think of friendship?

5. Enjoy a short poem and more beautiful sentences.
Step 3 Using language
