一、单元学习主题
本课主题属于“人与社会”主题范畴中“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“良好的人际关系与人际交往”。
二、单元内容分析
本单元分为Section A与Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Decision making”展开听、说、读、写、看等语言活动。
本单元共有两个主要语篇,第一个语篇是对话的形式,讲述了Jeff和Ben如何为聚会做准备;第二个语篇通过讲述Laura的故事,探讨青少年如何解决生活中的问题,并给出了相关专家的建议。
两个语篇不仅为我们传递了不同的语言知识和语篇知识,也传递了“文明交际,正确认识生活的烦恼并合理表达自己的观点”的育人价值。

本节内容主要是有关派对的筹备,用到if条件状语从句,是对前面所学的一般将来时态的延伸,也是初中学生英语学习的一个重点。
二、学情分析之前我们学习的都是简单句,本单元开始学习条件状语从句,学生一开始可能会不适应。
本节课围绕如何筹备派对,创造一个轻松、愉快的学习交流环境,充分调动学生的积极性,激发学生的学习兴趣,在创设的语言情境中反复操练,达到巩固的效果。
在教学中,学生可能比较难把握的是主将从现,对于这一点,将在教学过程中多多强调和练习。
三、教学目标1. 语言知识目标:(1)能掌握以下单词:meeting, video, organize, potato chips, chocolate(2)能掌握以下句型:①─I think I’ll go to the party with Karen and Anna.─If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time!②─What will happen if they have the party today?─Half the class won’t come.2.能力目标:(1)能掌握含if条件状语从句的主从复合句的用法;(2)能用if引导的条件状语从句做出假设,用will谈论结果。
3.情感、态度和价值观目标:(1)学习因果关系的表达和给出合理的建议;(2)谈论自己的感受,并让学生在英语交流中注意并观察他人的情感。
(3)由于本单元话题贴近学生生活,符合他们热爱休闲的心理,可以提高他们学习英语的兴趣,积极参与英语实践活动。

在Section A 部分,Listening & Speaking以生日派对为话题,呈现了有关假设和推论的语言点,重点突出i f…will…句型。
通过对班级聚会的讨论,尝试做简单的语言输出。
在2a-2d部分呈现谈话主题几活动举办时间,同时涉及到活动内容和组织形式,并在2d部分呈现对话范例,补充情态动词should的使用,从而练习用英文给他人提出建议。
听说课部分的语言点,包括if引导的条件状语从句(主句用将来时和情态动词),在语法课部分进行充分总结和操练。
Section B部分进一步拓展了内容,听说环节围绕学生生活中的问题,谈论对事情的结果预测,包含了选择未来职业,以及思考生活中重要事情等话题,巩固if条件状语从句。
在阅读板块,设置了读前,读中,读后活动,谈论学生遇到的问题以及可以寻求帮助的方式。
最后通过写作部分达成综合输出,写作部分仍然采取一贯思路,先搭建脚手架,让学生填空,整理信息,并根据给出的框架开展书写练习。
Why:本单元选择“做决定”为主题,包含“预测”的认知能力相关思维素养。
八年级学生在生活和学习中会遇到很多做决定的情况,本单元设计能帮助学生对问题进行分析,并采取行动;另外,当学生在遇到困惑时,往往没有更加有效的解决办法,单元选取的语篇,帮助学生了解遇到问题可以从他人那里获得建议,同时也引导学生积极给他人提供建议,建立良好的生活态度。
How:本单元在Section A 的L&S当中,首先通过图片对话导入,让学生匹配不同的假设,从而体会if引导的条件状语从句的使用;然后在听说教学中,通过对话形式引导学生关注听力细节,提升听力策略应用,并在之后提供对话范例,便于学生开展语言输出训练。
