2)如果表示在某人或某物的左边/右边,用on the right (left) of例:The bank is on the right of that hospital. 银行在那家医院的右边。

3.make 引导的一些短语及用法1)be made of由……制成,能看出原材料(被动语态)例:The table is made of wood. 桌子是由木头制成的。

1. 复习动词ing的学问
1〕用于现在进行时,表示“正在发生的动作〞,结构为主语+be+Ving 例:Look! The boys over there are playing table tennis.
Can you see that kite? It is flying in the sky.
留意:一些表示思想、感情和感觉的动词,如love, know, want, hope等单词没有进行时态。
2)动名词,既具有动词的性质,又具出名词的性质,在句子中通常做主语、表语、宾语、定语等成分。
尝试分析以下句子中动名词所做的成分:
Playing football is Tom’s favourite thing.
Tom’s favourite thing is playing football.
We are all good at playing football.
That shopping mall is wonderful, we all like to go there.
3)动词ing的变化规那么:
A.直接在动词后加ing, 如dodoing thinkthinking
B.不发音字母e结尾的动词,去e再加ing,如eing, makemaking
C.“辅元辅〞结构的动词,双写尾字母再加ing, 如beginbeginning

2.Need〔需要〕的用法
1)做情态动词,后接动词原形,否认形式为needn’t + 动原,常用于否认式和疑问句中。
此外,must引导的一般疑问句,确定答复用must,否认答复要用needn't。
例:You needn’t say sorry to me. It doesn’t matter.
Need we still stay here? Yes, you need./No, you needn’t.
Must we still stay here?Yes, you must./No, you needn’t.
2)做实义动词,可以直接接名词、代词作宾语;也可以接to do表示需要做某事,接doing时表示需要被做〔被动语态〕。
留意,此时的need有人称和时态的变化。
例:Do you need any tea for lunch?
He doesn’t need us to go with him.
The dog needs feeding. 小狗需要〔被〕喂了。
