2020年8月6日雅思大作文题目间隔年的优劣势Some students take one year off between finishing school and going to university in order to travel or to work. Do you think advantages outweigh disadvantages?
2018-08-02: Task 2 (Colombia)Demand of food is increasing worldwide.Which is a cause of this? What measures could the international community take in order to improve the situation?范文1:These days, there is an increasing need for food globally because farmers are facing numerous difficulties and foods are not easily transported. However, there are ways the government can take to improve the sustainability of food for all.In the past, the majority of people were farmers, both local and commercial farming was popular, but now people are hardly going into farming and the small percentage of people who work as farmers now, are facing numerous difficulties that have hampered the quality and quantity of food that is being produced. These challenges range from a reduction in land mass required for farming due to overpopulation, also, our soil is losing a lot of nutrients from erosion as a result of deforestation and overgrazing as a result crops take longer than required to germinate.Recently, there has been a heated debate on the reduction of air travel due to the amount of Co2 emission generated by airplanes. Whereas, food can only get to other areas when there is a fast and convenient mode of transportation especially when they are coming from far regions where other modes of transportation cannot reach. As result, the amount of food that is supposed to be delivered to certain areas will be reduced due to restrictions on air travel.Nevertheless, there are numerous ways in which the world powers can improve the availability of food. They should ensure proper accessibility for foods by making an exception for some certain foods to be moved via planes. They should assist local and commercial farmers by providing reasonable loan packages and allocating land space for farming. In addition, farmers should be educated about ways to prevent erosion, manufacturing of fertilizers to help their crops grow well, as well as promoting proper farming practices among farmers. Also, genetic engineering of food is a controversial approach that can also improve the availability of food, if plant scientist can successfully speed up the growth and increase the size of crops as well as making them more nutritious, then it can be guaranteed that food will be surplus. In conclusion, the cap on air travel and the challenges faced by the few farmers we have has led to the scarcity of food but, the governments can ease these burden on farmers and promote research in food cloning and manipulation of crops which will go a long way in preventing famine.范文2:These days, there is an increasing need for food globally because farmers are facing numerous difficulties and foods are not transported freely. 1..作文题目:It is generally believed that some people are born with certain talents, for instance for sport or music, and others are not。
However,it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good person or musician.Discuss both these views and give your own opinion2.学生原文:Everyone believed that talents is the essential requirement to be successful. However, some famous and successful person always recognize them that they are no any talents but success in the final. So, weather the talents can decide the future is hard to illustrate. And here are my own view.I think that talents is an very important factor to decide the future of a person, because there are lots of examples can also demonstrate it. If someone has unique talents for some sports or music, it must help him progress more than others who not have this talents. And there is another advantage of talents is that they will be saw by more people because gift always can attract people. This feature causes the talents to have more chance to performance. The famous basketball player named Curry, who is the famous talents. In 2014, Curry showed a sharply increase in his basketball skills. The most surprising thing is that he start to play basketball when was study in university, and it later than the date of all the nba basketball players. Curry demonstrate the truth of gifts make a people spend less time and energy to get success. On the other hand, it is also true that some people who have no any talents but they still success rely on their teachers and endeavor. I also trust that the endeavor can replace the talents. Although some children have no innovation to study some kinds of skills, they still can try their best to break out the weakness of without talents. Kobe is a famous basketball player too, but experts said that the gift of curry is better than the talents of Kobe. However, Curry never belong the Kobe in basketball. When someone asked Kobe why, he answered:" Have you seen the sun on 5 am." So, Kobe told us that the strive and confident is the second key to get success. In the conclusion, the significance of the strive is the same important as the talents. If you want to be a sported or musicals, the talents and strive both can take you to the path of success.3.老师批改文中标识:用词不当逻辑错误语法错误修改添加Everyone believed that talents is the essential requirement to be successful.(这句话说everyone 太绝对了一些,可以改为:it is often considered that talent is ...) That’s got seating for up to o ne hundred.WOMAN:Well, weYe organising a dinner to raise money for a charity, and weYe hoping for at least 150 people, so I think we5ll go for the Main Hall. How much would that cost?OFFICIAL:Lefs see. You wanted it for the evening of September 1st?WOMAN:Yes,that’s a SaturdayOFFICIAL:So from six pm to midnight thafd be £115 - that’s the weekend price,it’s £75 on weekdays.WOMAN:That’s all right.OFFICIAL:And I have to tell you there’s also a deposit of £250, which is returnable of course as long as ther e’s no damage. But we do insist that this is paid in cash, we don’t take cards for that. You can pay the actual rent of the room however you like though - cash, credit card, cheque ...WOMAN:Oh, well I suppose thafs OK. So does the charge include use of tables and chairs and so on?OFFICIAL:Oh, yes.WOMAN:And what about parking?OFFICIAL:Yeah, that’s all included. The only thing that isn’t included is … you said you were organising a dinner?WOMAN:Yeah.OFFICIAL:Well, you’ll have to pay extra for the kitchen if you want to use that. It’s £25. It’s got very good facilities - good quality cookers and fridges and so on.WOMAN:OK, well I suppose thafs all right. We can cover the cost in our entry charges.OFFICIAL:Right. So I'ІІ make a note of that. Now there are just one or two things you need to think about before the event. For example, voull have to see about getting a licence if vouYe planning to have any music during the meal.WOMAN:Oh, really?OFFICIAL:Ifs quite straightforward, I'ІІgive you the details later on. And about a week or ten days before your event you’ll need to contact the caretaker, that’s Mr Evans, to make the arrangements for entry —he’ll sort that out with you.WOMAN:And do I give him the payment as well?OFFICIAL:No, you do that directly with me.WOMAN:Right. Now is there anything I need to know about what happens during the event?OFFICIAL:Well, as youJll be aware, of course the building is no smoking throughout.WOMAN:Of course.OFFICIAL:Now, are you having a band?WOMAN:YesOFFICIAL:Well, they’ll have a lot of equipment, so rather than using the front door they should park their van round the back and use the stage door there. You can open that from inside but don't forget to lock it at the end.WOMAN:OK.OFFICIAL:And talking of bands, sure I don't need to tell you this, but you must make sure that no one fiddles about with the black box by the fire door - that’s a system that cuts in when the volume reaches a certain level. Ifs a legal requirement.WOMAN:Sure. Anyway, we wa nt people to be able to talk to one another so we don’t want anything too loud. Oh, that reminds me, we'll be having speeches - are there any microphones available?OFFICIAL:Yeah. Just let the caretaker know, he get those for you. Right, now when the event is over we do ask that the premises are left in good condition. So there's a locked cupboard andvoull be informed of the code you need to open that. It’s got all the cleaning equipment, brushes and detergent and so onWOMAN:Right. So what do we need to do after everyone's gone? Sweep the floors I suppose?OFFICIAL:Well, actually they have to be washed, not just swept. Then you’ll be provided with black plastic bags, so all the rubbish must be collected up and left outside the doorWOMAN:Of course. Well make sure everything's left tidy. Oh, and I forgot to ask, I presume we can have decorations in the room?OFFICIAL:Yes, but you must take them down afterwards.WOMAN:Sure.OFFICIAL:And the chairs and tables should be stacked up neatly at the back of the roomWOMAN:I'ІІ make sure I'ѵе got a few people to help me.(2).【A2】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:(£ )115 / а/one hundred (and) fifteen)解析:(3).【A3】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:cash)解析:(4).【A4】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:parking)解析:(5).【A5】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:music)解析:(6).【A6】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:entry)解析:(7).【A7】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:stage)解析:(8).【A8】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:code)解析:(9).【A9】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:floor/floors)解析:(10).【A10】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:decoration/decorations)解析:SECTION 2(分数:10)SECTION 2(分数:10)(1).There are four questions belowComplete the notes below.Write ONE WORD for each answer.【B1】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:animal/animais)解析:听力原文:Welcome to the Fiddy Working Heritage Farm. This open-air museum gives you the experience of agriculture and rural life in the English countryside at the end of the nineteenth century. So you'll see a typical farm of that period, and like me, all the staff are dressed in clothes of that time.I must give you some advice and safety tips before we go any further. As ifs a working farm, please don4 frighten or injure the animals. We have a lot here, and many of them are breeds that are now quite rare. And do stay at a safe distance from the tools: some of them have sharp points which can be pretty dan gerous, so please don;t touch them. We don’t want аnу accidents, do we?The ground is very uneven, and you might slip if you’re wearing sandals so I’m alad to see vouYe all wearing shoes - we always advise people to do that. Now, children of all ages are very welcome here, and usually even very young children love the ducks and lambs, so do bring them along next time you come.I don;t think any of you have brought dogs with you, but in case you have, Гтafraid thevll have to stay in the car park, unless thevYe guide dogs. I,m sure you’ll understand that they could cause a lot of problems on a farm. Now let me give you some idea of the layout of the farm. The building where you bought your tickets is the New Barn, immediately to your right, and weYe now at the beginning of the main path to the farmland - and of course the car park is on your left. The scarecrow vou can see in the car park in the corner, beside the main path, is a traditional figure for keeping the birds away from crops, but our scarecrow is a permanent sculpture, ifs taller than a human being, so you can see it from quite a distance. If vou look ahead of vou. voull see a maze. Ifs opposite the New Barn, beside the side path that branches off to the right just over there. The maze is made out of hedges which are too tall for young children to see over them, but ifs quite small, so you canJt get lost in it!Now, can you see the bridge crossing the fish pool further up the main path? If vou want to go to the cafe, go towards the bridge and turn right just before it. Walk along the side path and the cafe's on the first bend vou come to. The building was originally the schoolhouse, and ifs well over a hundred years old.As you may know, we run skills workshops here, where you can learn traditional crafts like woodwork and basket-making. You can see examples of the work, and talk to someone about the courses, in the Black Barn. If vou take the side path to the right, here, just by the New Barn, voull come to the Black Barn just where the path first bends. Now I mustn't forget to tell you about picnicking, as I can see some of you have brought your lunch with you. You can picnic in the field, though do clear up behind you, of course. Or if you’d prefer a covered picnic area, there’s one near the farmvard: just after vou cross the bridge, there's a covered picnic spot on the right. And the last thing to mention is Fiddv House itself. From here vou can cross the bridge then walk along the footpath through the field to the left of the farmyard. That goes to the house, and it’ll give you a lovely view of it. It’s certainly worth a few photographs, but as it’s a private home, I'm afraid you canl go inside.Right. Well, if youYe all ready, well set off on our tour of the farm.(2).【B2】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:tool/tools)解析:(3).【B3】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:shoes)解析:(4).【B4】(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:dog/dogs)解析:(5).There are six questions below,Label the map below.Write the correct letter A-I.Scarecrow ...............(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:F)解析:(6).Maze ...............(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:G)解析:(7).Cafe ...............(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:D)解析:(8).Black Barn ...............(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:H)解析:(9).Covered picnic area ...............(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:C)解析:(10).Fiddy House ...............(分数:1)填空项1:__________________ (正确答案:A)解析:SECTION 3(分数:10)SECTION 3(分数:10)(1).There are ten questions belowChoose the correct letter, A, В or C.The students in Akira Miyake’s study were all majoring in(分数:1)A.physics.B.psychology or physics.C.science, technology, engineering or mathematics. √解析:听力原文:Lisa :OK, Greg, so I finally managed to read the article you mentioned - the one about the study on gender in physicsGreg :About the study of college students done by Akira Miyake and his team? Yeah. I was interested that the researchers were actually a mix of psychologists and physicists. That’s an unusual combination.Lisa : Yeah. I got a little confused at first about which students the study was based on. They weren’t actually majoring in physics —they were majoring in whafs known as the STEM disciplines. Thafs science, technology, engineering and ...Greg : ... and math. Yes, but they were all doing physics courses as part of their studies.Lisa : That's correct. So as I understood it, Miyake and со started from the fact that women are underrepresented in introductory physics courses at college, and also that on average, the women who do enrol on these courses perform more poorly than the men. No one really knows why this is the case.Greg:Yeah. But what the researchers wanted to find out was basically what they could do about the relatively low level of the women's results. But in order to find a solution they needed to find out more about the nature of the problem.Lisa : Right - now lefs see if I can remember... it was that in the physics class, the female students thought the male students all assumed that women weren’t any good at physics ... was that it? And they thought that the men expected them to get poor results in their tests.Greg : Thafs what the women thought, and that made them nervous, so they did get poor results. But actually they were wrong ... No one was making anv assumptions about the female students at all.Lisa : Anyway, what Miyake^ team did was quite simple - getting the students to do some writing before they went into the physics class. What did they call it?Greg:Values-affirmation - they had to write an essay focusing on things that were significant to them, not particularly to do with the subject they were studying, but more general things like music, or people who mattered to them.Lisa :Right. So the idea of doing the writing is that this gets the students thinking in a positive wayGreg : And putting these thoughts into words can relax them and help them overcomethe psychological factors that lead to poor performance. Yeah. But what the researchers in the study hadn't expected was that this one activity raised the womens physics grades from the C to the В range.Lisa : A huge change. Pity it wasn't to an A, but still! No, but it does suggest that the women were seriously underperforming beforehand, in comparison with the men.Greg : Yes. Mind you, Miyake's article left out a lot of details. Like, did the students do the writing just once, or several times? And had they been told why they were doing the writing? That might have affected the results.Lisa :You mean, if they know the researchers thought it might help them to improve, then they'd just try to fulfil that expectation?Greg: Exactly.Greg :So anyway, I thought for our project we could do a similar study, but investigate whether it really was the writing activity that had that result.Lisa : OK. So we could ask them to do a writing task about something completely different... something more factual? Like a general knowledge topic.Greg :Maybe ... or we could have half the students doing a writing task and half doing something else, like an oral task.Lisa :Or even, half do the same writing task as in the original research and half do a factual writing task. Then we'd see if it really is the topic that made the difference, or something else.Greg :Thafs it. Good. So at our meeting with the supervisor on Monday we can tell him weVe decided on our project. We should have our aims ready by then. I suppose we need to read the original study - the article’s just a summary.Lisa :And there was another article I read, by Smolinsky. It was about her research on how women and men perform in mixed teams in class, compared with single-sex teams and on their own.Greg : Let me guess ... the women were better at teamwork.Lisa : Th at’s what I expected, but actually the men and the women got the same results whether they were working in teams or on their own. But I guess it’s not that relevant to us.Greg : What worries me anyway is how we're going to get everything done in the time.Lisa :We’ll be 〇K now we know what we’re doing. Though I’m not clear how we assess whether the students in our experiment actually make any progress or not...Greg:No. We may need some advice on that. The main thing’s to make sure we have the right siz e sample, not too big or too small.Lisa : That shouldn't be difficult. Right, what do we need to do next? We could have a look at the timetable for the science classes ... or perhaps we should just make an appointment to see one of the science professors. Thafd be better.Greg : Great. And we could even get to observe one of the classes.Lisa : What for?Greg : Well ... OK maybe let's just go with your idea. Right, well ...(2).The aim of Miyake’s study was to investigate(分数:1)A.what kind of women choose to study physics.B.a way of improving women’s performance in physics.√C.whether fewer women than men study physics at college.解析:(3).The female physics students were wrong to believe that(分数:1)A.the teachers marked them in an unfair way.B.the male students expected them to do badly. √C.their test results were lower than the male students’.解析:(4).Miyake’s team asked the students to write about(分数:1)A.what they enjoyed about studying physics.B.the successful experiences of other people.C.something that was important to them personally. √解析:(5).What was the aim of the writing exercise done by the subjects?(分数:1)A.to reduce stress √B.to strengthen verbal abilityC.to encourage logical thinking解析:(6).What surprised the researchers about the study?(分数:1)A.how few students managed to get A gradesB.the positive impact it had on physics results for women √C.the difference between male and female performance解析:(7).Greg and Lisa think Miyake’s re sults could have been affected by(分数:1)A.the length of the writing task.B.the number of students who took part.C.the information the students were given. √解析:(8).Greg and Lisa decide that in their own project, they will compare the effects of(分数:1)A.two different writing tasks。
Air travel only benefits the richest people. The majority of people cannot receive the advantages of the development of air travel. Do you agree or disagree? Improved traffic technology(transportation technology) has made travelling means more various than ever before. People relish their journey by diverse transportation. Some people consider that air travel actually widen(widens) the gap between the rich and poor due to the only benefits it offers to the wealthy group, while the majority of average people are kept far away from the advantages of the development of air travel. Personally, I do not think this is the complete picture. Admittedly, the cost of flight is much higher than the travelling expense by railway or some other means of transport. The price would be more likely twice or even triple that of trains or buses. Rich people may tend to enjoy its swiftness and comfortableness, while humble citizens prefer to take more care of their purse, giving ways to the endurance of filthy compartments and noisy surroundings in trains and buses. Nevertheless, the less-wealthy folk(people) are not completely out of the gate. Due to the stagnant market and the fierce competition in the domain of civil aviation companies, plenty of preferential and promotion activities(programs) are offered to consumers which makes(make) air flight possible(affordable) for average people due to the diving price. (For example,) CAAC ever sliced 80% off from the original price to attract more passengers. What's more, some business people have to make the option of flying due to some urgent jobs no matter they are rich or not(no matter what kind of social economic status they are in). From what discussed above(From what has been discussed above), it seems unreasonable to maintain that air travel offers convenience only to the wealthy people. It is bound to benefit more people, given the more prosperous marketing and more advanced air traffic system. - 268 words – 专家点评: 本次考试的题⽬为论述“飞⾏”这种交通⽅式是否只对富⼈有利,⽽对于⼤多数⼈来说并不能享受到这种交通⽅式的便利。

However, it is sometimes claimed that any child can be taught to become a good sports person or musician. Discuss both these view and give your own opinion.范文:The relative importance of natural talent and training is a frequent topic of discussion when people try to explain different levels of ability in, for example, sport, art or music.Obviously, education systems are based on the belief that all children can effectively be taught to acquire different skills, including those associated with sport, art or music. So from our won school experience, we can find plenty of evidence to support the view that a child can acquire these skills with continued teaching and guided practice. However, some people believe that innate talent is what differentiates a person who has been trained to play a sport or an instrument, from those who become good players. In other words, there is more to the skill than a good learned technique, and this extra talent cannot be taught, no matter how good the teacher or how frequently a child practices.I personally think that some people do have talents that are probably inherited via their genes. Such talents can give individuals a facility for certain skills that allow them to excel, while more hard-working students never manage to reach a comparable level. But, as with all questions of nature versus nurture, they are not mutually exclusive. Good musicians or artists and exceptional sports stars haveprobably succeeded because of both good training and natural talent. Without the natural talent, continuous training would be neither attractive nor productive, and without the training, the children would not learn how to exploit and develop their talent. In conclusion, I agree that any child can be taught particular skills, but to be really good in areas such as music, art or sport, then some natural talent is required. (282words)Test 2 P165Task 1 Line graphTask 2 Some people believed that there should be fixed punishment for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on punishment.Discuss both these view and give your own opinion.范文:This is a thoughtful and well-argued response to the task. The candidate examines the opposing views of the topic and gives a clear opinion that is well developed and supported. To reach the highest band a more clearly-signaled conclusion would be needed. The argument is well organized and linking is well-managed throughout. The development of the answer is not helped, however, by poor control of paragraphing which sometimes confused the links across different sections. This is a weak feature of the script which limits the overall rating. In contrast, an excellent range of vocabulary is used with a sophisticated level of control and only rare slips. The range of structures is also wide and most sentences are accurate and precise, but there are some errors and omissions. These, however, are only minor and do not affect communication.Band 7.5 score:Fixing punishments for each type of crime has been a debatable issue. There are many arguments supporting both views, those for and those against fixed punishments. On the one hand, fixed punishments will have a deterring effect on society. Individuals knowing that they will be subject to a certain punishment if they are convicted with a given crime will reconsider committing this act in the first place. This deterring effect also leads to social stability and security, through minimizing the number of crimes committed. If people knew they would be able to convince the court or the jury of a reason for having committed the crime they are accused of, penal decisions would be largely arbitrary. This would result into criminals getting away with their crimes and into a high level of injustice caused by the subjective approach of different courts. On the other hand, taking the circumstances of a crime and its motivation into consideration is a prerequisite for establishing and ensuring justice and equity.A person killing in self-defense cannot be compared to a serial killer, moving from one victim to the next. In my opinion an intermediary position between both solutions is the perfect way to establish and ensure justice and equity. There have to be fixed punishments for all crimes. However, criminal laws have to provide for a minimum and a maximum for the punishment and the laws also have to foresee certain cases of exemptions. An example for setting minimum and maximum penalties is Competition Law where a person being held liable of a crime under this law will be convicted to pay a fine, according to the harm caused by the violation and the profit gained by the violator through committing the crime. As for the exemptions, in some countries the law exempts thiefs stealing food during a period of famine taking into consideration the distress and hunger. Also, a person killing in self-defense will be exempted from punishment. (325) Test 3 P167Task 1 Bat chartTask 2 As most people spend a major of their adult life at work, job satisfaction is an important element of individual wellbeing. What factors contribute to job satisfaction? How realistic is the expectation of job satisfaction for all workers?范文:Nowadays many adults have full-time jobs and the proportion of their lives spent doing such jobs is very high. So feelings about one’s job must reflect how an individual feels about his or her life as whole, and because of this, job satisfaction is indeed very important for the wellbeing of that person. Employees get job satisfaction in a number of ways. Firstly, a person needs to feel that they are doing valued and valuable work, so positive feedback from superiors is very important in this respect. A sense of fulfillment is also encouraged if a worker feels the job is worth doing because it contributes to the society or the economy as a whole. Secondly, when someone feels they are improving or developing their skills through training opportunities, for example, then there is as sense of progression and purpose that rewards a worker. The sense of belonging to a team or a working community also contributes to job satisfaction because colleagues help each other to enjoy their working lives. Satisfaction is also increased by a sense of responsibility for and loyalty to a team.Of course not everyone enjoys heir work. Hard economic realities mean that many people have little choice in the kind of job they can get. In some cases an employee is working in a job that suits neither their skills nor their personality. Some jobs are repetitive and boring, and labour relations may be poor and lead to resentment and insecurity rather than to job satisfaction. However, even though it is unlikely that all workers do feel happy in their work, I think it is not unrealistic to promote more job satisfaction in any job. If the factors identified above are implemented, then any job can be improved and more workers can feel greater degrees of job satisfaction. (303)Test 4Task 1 Pie chartTask 2 Some people think that university should provide graduates with the knowledge and skills needed in the work place. Others think that the true functionof university should be to give access to knowledge for their own sake, regardless of whether the course is useful to an employer. What, in your opinion, should be the mine function of a university?范文:IELTS 6Test 1Task 1 Line graphTask 2 Today, high sales of popular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needs of the society in which they are sole.To what extent do you agree or disagree?范文:Nowadays, there are lots of advertisements on television or on the streets. Some people think that the advertising boosts the sales of goods and it encourages people to buy things unnecessarily. This arguments may be true. In my country, many advertising companies produce advertisements with famous and popular actors or singers. People, especially youngsters, buy goods that their favourite singer advertise, although they do not really need the products. Also, on the television screen, a product may look gorgeous and good quality. As a result of it, people often buy goods without enough consideration. Consumers may not actually need it but they buy goods impulsively soon after they watch the advertising. Furthermore, as many customers buy a particular product due to its advertising campaign, the other people may be affected by the trend, even if the product is not of the real needs of the society. On the other hand, there are various aspects against these arguments. Moreover, it is people’s choice to make a decision to buy goods. Advertising may be not a cause of customers’ buying habits. Individuals have their own spending habits. If they have got enough disposable income, then the right to make a decision is given to them. No one actually can judge whether the goods sold are the real needs of the society or not.In addition, as there should be a limited amount of disposable income consumers are able to spend, people try to allocate their budgets. They cannot be simply swayed by those advertisements. In conclusion, as customers have their own strong opinions and standard of good quality goods, it is better to leave them to make their own decision in buy goods. It is fairly difficult to say everyone is swayed by advertising and buy good impulsively. However, in sensitive area of businesses such as toy industries, it may be necessary to band advertising to those children as children have not got enough ability to control themselves or to know what they need. (332 words) Test 2Task 1 TableTask 2 Successful professionals can earn a great deal more money than people in other important professions. Some people think this is fully justified while others think it is unfair.Discuss both these view and give your own opinion.考官范文:As a result of constant media attention, sports professionals in my country have become stars and celebrities, and those at the top are paid huge salaries. Just like movie stars, they live extravagant lifestyles with huge houses and cars. Many people find their rewards unfair, especially when comparing these super salaries with those of top surgeons or research scientists, or even leading politicians who have the responsibility of governing the country. However, sports salaries are not determined by considering the contribution to society a person makes, or the level of responsibility he or she holds. Instead, they reflect the public popularity of sport in general and the level of public support that successful sta rs can generate. So the notion of ‘fairness’ is not the issue. Those who feel that sports stars’ salaries are justified might argue that the number of professionals with real talent are very few, and the money is a recognition of the skills and dedication a person needs to be successful. Competition is constant and a player is tested every time they perform in their relatively short career. The pressure from the media is intense and there is little privacy out of the spotlight. So all of these factors may justify the huge earnings. Personally, I think that the amount of money such sports stars make is more justified than the huge earnings of movie stars, but at the same time, it indicates that our society places more value on sport than on more essential professions and achievements.翻译:在媒体不断地推波助澜下,我国的许多职业运动员已成为了明星和名人。
