一、单元学习主题
本课主题属于“人与社会”主题范畴中“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“良好的人际关系与人际交往”。
二、单元内容分析
本单元分为Section A与Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Decision making”展开听、说、读、写、看等语言活动。
本单元共有两个主要语篇,第一个语篇是对话的形式,讲述了Jeff和Ben如何为聚会做准备;第二个语篇通过讲述Laura的故事,探讨青少年如何解决生活中的问题,并给出了相关专家的建议。
两个语篇不仅为我们传递了不同的语言知识和语篇知识,也传递了“文明交际,正确认识生活的烦恼并合理表达自己的观点”的育人价值。

课堂导学方案Step 1 情景导入(1分钟)Teacher: Hello, everyone, are you happy? I’m very happy. If I am happy,I willlisten to the tape. Do you want to listen? Now let’s listen to If You Are Happy together.(播放歌曲 If You Are Happy)环节说明:用歌曲If You Are Happy导入新课,让学生在歌声中轻松的进入学习状态,且切入学习主题,并在歌声中提前感知if的用法。
Step 2完成教材1a—1c的任务1.学生认真观察1a图片,将句子与图片搭配,集体核对答案。
(2分钟)2.大声朗读1a中的小对话,为听力做好准备。
(2分钟)3.认真听录音,完成1a中的句子,集体核对答案,完成课本上1b的听力任务。
(3分钟)4.教师让学生根据1a提供的信息编写对话,练习新的目标句型(If you do,you will …)。

Why:本单元选择“做决定”为主题,包含“预测”的认知能力相关思维素养。
八年级学生在生活和学习中会遇到很多做决定的情况,本单元设计能帮助学生对问题进行分析,并采取行动;另外,当学生在遇到困惑时,往往没有更加有效的解决办法,单元选取的语篇,帮助学生了解遇到问题可以从他人那里获得建议,同时也引导学生积极给他人提供建议,建立良好的生活态度。
How:本单元在Section A 的L&S当中,首先通过图片对话导入,让学生匹配不同的假设,从而体会if引导的条件状语从句的使用;然后在听说教学中,通过对话形式引导学生关注听力细节,提升听力策略应用,并在之后提供对话范例,便于学生开展语言输出训练。
