一、单元学习主题
本单元属于“人与社会”主题范畴中“社会服务与人际沟通”这一主题群,涉及子主题“和谐家庭与社区生活”。
二、单元内容分析
本单元分为Section A和Section B两部分,主要围绕话题“Your town”展开听、说、读、写、看等语言活动。
本单元共有两个主要语篇,第一个语篇是对话的形式,是Helen向新来的Greg介绍社区而展开的对话;第二个语篇简要介绍了达人秀的相关情况。
两个语篇不仅为我们传递了不同的语言知识和语篇知识,也引导学生了解彼此的喜好和家乡之最,培养学生热爱生活的意识。

学生还能根据他人对话了解个人的爱憎，会询问和谈论个人的爱憎，能在听、读中辨别形容词的比较级和最高级的用法，并能运用已掌握的词、短语、句型，用不同的方式表达同一意思，甚至变化句型。
通过本单元的研究，学生能够培养辨别能力，关注事物的优点长处，引发XXX和集体荣誉感。
同时，学生也能够体味英语的魅力，激发研究兴趣，抓住用英语交际的机会，积极体验和大胆实践。
