翻译目的论视角下的《哈利·波特》译文评析

在功能目的论的视角下，要以翻译目的作为准则来评判译本的翻译质量。

费米尔指出翻译是一种用于达到特别目的的复杂行为。

翻译即传意，传意的对象不同，目的也就不同。

因此费米尔认为翻译目的的最重要之一即为受众。

译文读者分各种年龄段，有其自己的文化背景知识和对译文的理解与期待，因此译文是在目的语情景下为某种目的及受众目标而产生的语篇。

同时，目的决定手段，不同的翻译目的所采取的翻译策略和翻译结果也不尽相同。

因此译者需要根据不同的翻译目的采取最合适的翻译策略，达到预期的效果。

本文将从功能目的论的角度，对比分析《哈利·波特》系列台北皇冠出版社和北京人民文学出版社两种中译版本的差异。

《哈利·波特》是英国女作家J·K·罗琳著作的魔幻文学小说，该系列总共七部，主要描写了小巫师哈利·波特在魔法学校霍格沃茨七年的学习和历险故事，集魔幻、悬疑、冒险于一身。

《哈利·波特》系列的中文版本有两种，一个是由苏农(第一部)、马爱新和马爱农姐妹俩翻译的简体中文版，一个是由彭倩文翻译的繁体中文版。

虽然原文是相同的，但是这两个英译表达地更加客气委婉。

4.翻译不统一。

翻译不统一指同一公示语在相同或者不同的场合出现了不同的英语翻译。

宿迁市博物馆将电梯翻译为“elevator ”，而距离其不超过3km 的大型商场却是将电梯翻译为“lift ”。

I've just fininshed reading the Harry Potter books for about the 5th timethrough, and they're just as magical and affecting as they have ever been. Everything is in here: suspense, adventure, mystery, humour, danger. There's even some pretty satisfying paybacks. The characters are fantastic and fantastically realistic. There are bad people who turn out to be good guys and good people who turn out to be bad guys, just like life.I think the thing I like best about these books is the message that it's okay to be different - to be not "normal." I would love for everyone in school to have hear that message. It would probably reduce the bullying around the school.These books value real thoughts. Much has been made of Harry's rule breaking, but only once in the series so far does he break a rule for arbitrary personal gain. Most of the time he makes a decision that what's right is more important than what's written. And you know what? Life's like that sometimes. I think it's great that kids are getting an example of how to do what's right even when it involves breaking rules. The Potter books also show that there are consequences for rule breaking. If not getting caught and getting a detention, then a spell going wrong and someone getting turned into a cat. 魔幻文学不仅仅对少年儿童有很强的吸引力，对于成年人来说也有非凡的意义。

得益于魔幻文学的形式、结构和形象，我们可以凭借自己天马行空的想象力，构建自己的小世界，从而更好的面对现实生活的挑战。

（二）《哈利·波特》中专有名词专有名词主要是指《哈利·波特》中由作者所创造只出现在该作品以及其衍生作品中的专有名词。

论文主要研究三个方面的专有名词的翻译，分别是咒语、人名和器物的翻译。

二、目的论理论基本内容（一）目的论的起源关于翻译标准的讨论由来已久，在二十世纪七十年代之前，很多翻译实践者认为翻译应该追求一种完全意义上的对等。

但作为语言学习者的我们来说，我们都明白，由于文化的差异，要实现完全的对等是很困难甚至是不可实现的。

在这样的背景下，目的论应运而生。

目的论的主要代表人物是目的论代表人物有凯瑟琳娜•赖斯(Katherina Reiss)，汉斯•弗米尔(Hans. J. Vermeer),贾斯塔•霍茨•曼塔里(Jasta Holtz manttari)。

其中，赖斯是目的论的重要代表人物，她首次将文本功能列为翻译批评的重要标准之一。

同时建立了文本类型理论，不同的文本有不同的翻译方法。

在赖斯的基础上，弗米尔提出了目的论（skopos）。

《哈利·波特》（Harry Potter）是英国女作家J.K.罗琳（J.K.Rowling）所著奇幻系列小说，被翻译成67种语言，截至20017年，所有版本的总销售量逾5亿本，是史上最畅销的小说之一。

小说不但文笔流畅，情节跌宕起伏，角色的塑造亦十分成功。

《哈利·波特》创造了一个奇妙的魔法世界，其中许多意象和元素都为书迷们所津津乐道，魔法咒语就是其中之一。
