1)辨析：when 与what timewhen是疑问副词，意为“什么时候”；“何时”，询问某年、某月或某日大范围的时间时，一般用when。

如：—When do you play football? 你什么时候踢足球？—I play football in the afternoon. 我下午踢足球。

—When is Women’s Day? 妇女节是哪一天？—It’s March 8th. 三月八号。

what time意为“什么时间”；“几点了”，问的是具体的时间，常对时刻、钟点进行提问。

如：—What time is it now? 现在几点了？—It’s eight o’clock.八点。

当表示询问做某事的时间时，两者可互换。

如：—What time (When)do you usually go to school? —I usually go to school at eight o’clock.2) 英语中日期的表达通常先说月，再说日，最后说年。

如：August 8th, 2008 2008年8月8号。

注意：英语中的“日”用序数表示，书写时定冠词可以省略，序数词的词尾“th”也可以省略，但读时一定要读成序数词。

如：May 4/4th 读做：May forth or May the forth。

英语中的“年”用基数词表示，读年份时可将前两位数字为一个单元，后两个数字为一个单元。

如：1996读做nineteen ninety-six，而2008通常读做two thousand(千)and eight。

2. 序数词：表示顺序的数词叫序数词.基数词变序数词口诀：基变序，有规律，尾部要加-th。

一、二、三，特殊记，结尾字母t, d, d （one----first, two---second, three---third）八去t，九去e，ve要用f替（eight—eighth, nine—ninth, five—fifth, twelve—twelfth）y要改为ie (twenty—twentieth, thirty—thirtieth)若是碰上几十几，只变个位就可以(twenty-one---twenty-first, thirty-four—thirty-fourth)注：(1)两位以上的序数词仅个位数部分用序数词,其余部分仍用基数词。

如：thirty-sixth,(2) 使用序数词时一般加定冠词the. 如：I’m in the third grade.(3) 序数词作―几分之几‖讲时,有复数形式。
