StepⅠ:Warming up exercise

1． Genral greeting

2． 1.go to work, 上班。

3． 由动词 go引导的短语课文中还有：go to school(上学)， go to bed(上床睡觉)。请注意

work, school以及 bed之前不带任何冠词。

4． 2.stay at home, 呆在家里。

5． 与 stay home在意思上相差无几。前者中的 home是名词，后者中的home是副词。

6． 3.do the housework, 料理家务。

7． housework是不可数名词。请比较：do the homework(做作业)。

8． 4.at night, 在夜里。

9． 如果说某日夜里，则用介词 on: on the night of June 2 在6月2日的夜里

11． 一般现在时(2)(请参见 Lessons 47～48语法部分。)

12． 一般现在时用于表示一个习惯动作、有规律的行为以及永恒的现象。一般与时间频度副词和时间短语连用。这些时间短语有：

14． in the morning/afternoon/evening 在上午/下午/晚上

【知识点讲解】

首先来公布上一期的答案：他/她从哪里来?翻译为：Where does he/she come from? 你答对了吗?

1. the saywers 意思是指“索亚一家人”。在英语中把姓氏加上复数，再在前面加the就能表示这一家人的意思。比如The Youngs，就代表“杨一家”。

2. 表示大的时段的单词，比如morning, noon, afternoon和evening，前面的介词都用in。比如in the

morning, in the afternoon... 只有表示夜晚那个单词night，要用at night.

3. go to school 意思是上学，在school前面不加the;come home或者是go home，这里都不用to和the.

4. They arrive home early. 这句话里的home和early都是副词，用来修饰和补充arrive这个动词。

Lesson55

The Sawyers live at 87 King Street.

In the morning, Mr. Sawyer goes to work and the

children go to school.

Their father takes them to school everyday.

Mrs. Sawyer stays at home every day.

She does the housework.

She always eats her lunch at noon.

In the afternoon, she usually sees her friends.

They often drink tea together.

In the evening, the children come home from school.

Lesson 55: The Greenwood Boys

Last week at a party, I met some friends of my sister's. They were charming boys from the south

of England. One of them came up to me and asked me if I would like to go to the pictures with

him and his friends. I was very happy to accept.

They took me to a wonderful film at the local cinema. After the film, we went to a restaurant for

dinner. We had a great time together. They were such nice boys!

The next day, I received a telephone call from one of the boys. He asked me if I would like to join

them on a small trip they were planning. I thought about it for a moment, and then I said yes.

They told me that they were going to spend a few days in the country. They planned to stay in a

small hotel outside the town. I was very excited about the trip.

We set off early in the morning in two cars. It took us about an hour to reach the hotel. It was a
