语系列―《商务英语阅读》Unit 1.What’s the Business for? 该单元共用时六课时。

本次摘选第一课时。本课使用了多媒体课件教学,这里只是教学详案,电子文稿中附上课件。

课题名称( Topic):What’s the Business for

教学目标(Objectives) :

At the end of this class you should be able to

■ understand what business is (理解什么是商业)

■introduce some successful businesses and famous people

(介绍一些成功的企业和知名人士)

■ identify some logos(识别一些公司标志)

■ use the basic terms concerned(掌握基本词汇)

教学重点难点(Teaching Points and Difficulties):

■ the definition of business(商业的定义)

■to describe a business in short(简短描述一个企业)

■ the basic terms(基本词汇)

课前准备(Preparation):

■first find some useful materials on the line, and then make a powerpoint.

(首先上网找一些相关材料,已备制作颗件。)

■second prepare some interesting activities about the course.

(然后根据教材准备一些有趣的课堂活动。)

■third look the basic terms in the dictionary.

(再次在字典中查找本课词汇。)

■ at last write the lesson plan

(最后书写教案)

■Divide all students into six groups before class.

(在上课之前把所有学生分成六组)

教学步骤(Process)

Warm-up(热身)

Step1

Write “Business” on the blackboard, ask students to think over it and try to find some words similar in meaning, as more as they can,and then do activity1.

(把“Business”这个词写到黑板上,让同学们思考和它相关或意思相近的词。可以是小组竞赛形式提问)

business → exchange →firm →businessman → buying → produce →work

→ selling → distribute →service

Step2

Discuss in groups, and use above words to summarize the definition of business:

(分组讨论,利用以上词汇对“business”下定义。)

ancient times: business meant exchange for things, so it’s buying and selling

modern times: two definitions, one is refers to the firm that is production, distribution and sale of goods and service. The other refers to people that is the effort of individuals to produce and sell the goods and service. But in modern times the aim of business is just for profit.

Step3

Now guess some riddles, the answer is a person, and then do activity2 and 3 in page2.

(猜谜游戏谜底为人物名或公司名。给每个小组一个名称,让他们给出这个名称的若干条提示,并说出提示让其他几组同学回答。以提示用的最少的组获胜。然后做书上的练习2,3)
