Abstract
In literary history, David .Herbert .Lawrence and Cao Yu are considered two highly influential modern writers. Their works challenge the traditional thought, which makes them controversial, but later their artistic achievements are greatly recognized and praised. They express the strong humanistic concern for the society and human beings in the process of human civilization in their respective works.
The dissertation compares their two important works Sons and Lovers and Thunderstorm. The similar life experiences, similar themes and the similar fate of their characters reflected in their works make them have coincidence and comparability. However, the two writers lived in different countries and different cultural backgrounds, their elaboration and sublimation of their similar themes have some different points, and different cultural connotations are hidden behind their similar expressing techniques. The research aims to study the two authors from the perspective of comparative literature. The author will talk about the brief introduction, the similarities and differences between the two works. Sex is no longer a dirty word, but the sign of the existence of humans' life and consciousness, along with the nature.
Owning to their different cultural identities, two writers have different fates for rebellion, their deep concern over the nation, society, and human cultural consciousness go beyond the geographical constraints and arouse resonance in the Eastern-Western cultural exchange, which then makes a great contribution to the prosperity of our nation and human culture.

在文学史上,戴维·赫伯特·劳伦斯与曹禺是两位被认为很有影响力的现代作家。
他们的文学作品挑战了传统思想,这使他们都曾饱受争议,但后来其艺术成就又得到肯定和大力推崇。
他们在各自的作品中表达了在人类文明进程中强烈的关心社会，关心人类的人文意识。
在本文中,我们将以他们的成名作品《儿子与情人》和《雷雨》为例，描述了主人公相似的生活经历,相似的主题和类似的命运的特点反映在他们的作品使他们有巧合和可比性。
然而,毕竟,这两个作家在不同的国家和不同的文化背景,他们的细化和升华使得类似的主题也有不同,以及不同的文化内涵是隐藏在作品中的相似的表达技巧。
本文将采用比较文学的视角把两位作家放在一起研究。

性爱不再是污秽的字眼，而是人的生命存在、生命意识的标志，伴随着自然之美缓缓流淌。
由于其所属文化特性的不同导致两位作者不同的反抗命运，但二者对民族、社会、人类文化意识的深切关怀跨越了地域的限制，在东西方文化的交流中引起共鸣，使其为民族和人类的文化的再繁荣做出巨大的贡献。
