My English-speaking adventure around the world has been an unforgettable journey that has not only expanded my vocabulary but also deepened my understanding of different cultures. I began my voyage in the bustling metropolis of London, where the melodious tones of British English enveloped me. The crisp pronunciations and refined accents transported me into a world of eloquence and sophistication.I immersed myself in Shakespeare's timeless plays, marveling at the beauty of his language and the depth ofhis insights into the human condition. From the cobblestone streets of London, I ventured to the vibrant shores of Australia. In Sydney, the laid-back drawl of Aussie English welcomed me with its infectious charm. The friendly locals used colorful idioms and colloquialisms that painted a vivid picture of their easygoing lifestyle. I embraced the Aussie lingo, learningthat "mate" was more than just a word but a symbol of camaraderie and mateship.Next, I crossed the Pacific to North America. In the vibrant streets of New York City, I was greeted by thefast-paced, energetic rhythm of American English. The use of slang and abbreviations reflected the fast-paced nature of this cosmopolitan metropolis. I delved into the works of American literary giants such as Mark Twain and Emily Dickinson, marveling at their ability to capture the complexities of human nature in their words. My journey continued to the quaint villages of Ireland. In Dublin, I was captivated by the lyrical cadence of Irish English. The lilting sounds and poetic expressions transported me to a world of folklore and myth. I listened to the tales of leprechauns and fairies, enchanted by the rich tapestry of Irish culture woven into their language. Finally, I completed my English-speaking adventure in the dynamic city of Singapore. Here, a unique blend of British, American, and local influences created a vibrantlinguistic landscape. The use of Singlish, a local creole, fascinated me with its clever fusion of English and Chinese elements. Through conversations with locals, I gained insights into the cultural diversity and multilingualism that define this cosmopolitan city.My English-speaking journey around the world has been a transformative experience. I have not only acquired a deeper understanding of the English language but also gained a profound appreciation for the diverse culturesthat have shaped its evolution. Each destination offered a unique linguistic palette, reflecting the values, beliefs, and experiences of its people. Through this journey, I have come to realize that language is not merely a tool for communication but a window into the soul of a nation.

Origins and History of Bullfighting西班牙斗牛历史由来以久。
Bullfighting is certainly one of the best known, although at the same time the most controversialSpanish popular customs. This Fiesta could not existwithout the Toro Bravo(happiness, joy,欢呼,喝彩), aspecies of bull from an archaic(古代的,古老的) bloodline(血统;家族) that is conserved(保留,沿袭) only in Spain. Many civilizations revered(尊敬,崇拜) these bulls. The bull-cultus(拜牛祭祀)on the Greek island Creta is quite well-known. The Bible tells of bulls being sacrificed(献祭,供奉) in honour of the divine(神的;天赐的) justice(公平;公正).Bulls played an important part in the religious ceremonies(宗教仪式) of Iberian(居住在外高加索的古伊比利亚人) tribes living in Spain during prehistoric(史前的,原始的) times. The origins of the Plaza (bullring,斗牛场) are probably not the Romanamphitheaters(古罗马的圆形剧场, 竞技场) but the Celtic-Iberian(凯尔特-伊比利亚人的) temples where ceremonies were held. In the province of Soria(索里亚,西班牙地名), near Numancia(奴曼西亚,西班牙地名), one such temple is preserved and it is supposed that bulls were sacrificed to the Gods here. While the cult worship (顶礼膜拜)of the bull goes back to the Iberians,it was the Greek and Roman influences that converted(皈依,劝说相信某一特定宗教、信仰或信念) it into a spectacle(公开表演或展示).During the middle ages(中世纪;中古时代) it was a diversion(娱乐,消遣) for the aristocracy(贵族) to rear ( rise on the hind legs,直立在马上) on horseback. This was called suerte de cañas(西班牙贵族站立在马背上骑马的活动). In the 18th century this tradition was more or less abandoned (被放弃的,被抛弃的) and the poorer population invented the bullfight on foot.Francisco Romero was a key-figure in laying the rules(lay the rules 制订规则) for this new sport. For its fans La Corrida (西班牙语,斗牛) is of course more of an art than a sport, as well as being the challenge of man fighting against beast (n. It is an archaic (古老的,陈旧的) tradition that has survived in Spain. What a Corrida is aboutIf you are not familiar with Corridas, you will find listed herechronologically (adv. So you may decide by yourself if you want to see one while you are visiting Spain.A Corrida starts with the paseillo ([西]斗牛赛的最早形式), when everyone involved in the bullfight should Array enter the ring (斗牛场) and present themselves to thepublic. Two Alguacilillos ([西]matadors trainee,新手斗牛士), on horseback, direct themselves to the presidency(当时的国王) and symbolically (adv.象征性地) ask for thekeys to the "puerta de los toriles" ([西]传说中的圣城). Behind that door are the bulls. With the door being opened and the first bull entering the ring thespectacle begins. It consists of three parts, called tercios ([西]整个斗牛赛分三环节), each being separated by horn-signals. There are three toreros (徒步的斗牛士) in each Corrida, by the way, and each will have to rear two bulls. In the first tercio the bullfighter uses the capote ([西]紫黄色的斗牛布), a large rag of purple and yellow coloring. Next, two picadors (骑马的斗牛士) enter on horseback each armed with a type of lance (n. 标枪,长矛).The second part is la suerte de banderillas. Three banderilleros haveto stick a pair of banderillas ([西]斗牛士用来刺牛的矛) into the attacking bull's back.In the final "suerte suprema" the bullfighter uses the muleta (一种红色的斗牛布), a small red rag. He has to show his faena ([西]斗牛士在击杀牛前炫示技能的劈刺动作), his mastery to dominate (v. 控制、支配) the bull, and to establish an artificial (adj.人造的, 虚假的) relationship between man and beast. The Corrida ends with the torero (徒步的斗牛士) killing the bull with his sword (n. 剑).I think you will agree what a wonderful and exciting country Spain is,so diversified (adj. 泡, 浸; 笼罩)in history and very culturally special, peaceful and tranquil (adj. free from anxiety, tension, or restlessness宁静的;镇定的), laid back with its superb (adj.美好的, 极好的) climate and sun-drenched (drench v.湿透) beaches and crystal clear (adj. absolutely clear;极其透明的;清澈的) waters beckoning (beckon v. 引诱,诱惑) you to sample them for yourself. The people are so friendly, leaving 007 with such wonderful memoriesand treasures in my mind that now I can share with you. Spain is one of 007 top destinations and would recommend visiting this country to anybody. Please email me for any more information on anything whatsoever (pron.无论如何).Now I want to tell you about the Flamenco dance (佛来明哥舞风格,是安达鲁西亚吉普赛人的一种强劲的、常伴随有即兴节奏的舞蹈风格) in a little more detail, as this is such a wonderful sight to see. The music will haunt (v. come to mind continually; 时常萦绕心头) you for many years to come with lasting (adj. FlamaencoFlamenco is a genuine (adj. 真的,正品的,非伪造的)Spanish art, and to be more exact is a genuine SouthernSpanish art. It exists in three forms: Cante, the song, Baile, the dance, and Guitarra, guitar playing.Gypsies (吉卜赛人) are very often named as thefathers of Flamenco, and at the very least, we can be surethat they played an important part in its creation. However, the popular songs and dances of Andalusia also influenced early Flamencoconsiderably (adv.相当地).(Gypsy: A member of a nomadic people that arrived in Europe inmigrations from northern India around the 14th century, now also living in NorthAmerica and Australia. Many Gypsy groups have preserved elements of theirtraditional culture, including an itinerant existence, tribal organization, and theRomany language.

Around the worldWhen I was young, I always dreamed of traveling around the world. I would imagine myself on exotic beaches in faraway lands, climbing mountains to capture breathtaking views, and exploring bustling cities to immerse myself in different cultures. I would read books and watch documentaries about different places, and envy those who had the chance to explore the world. But as life got busier and more complicated, my dreams were relegated to the back burner. Until one day, I decided that enough was enough. I was going to make my dream of traveling the world a reality.I started by researching different destinations and planning out a rough itinerary. I set a budget and started saving money. I also started learning about the different cultures and languages of the places I planned to visit. Finally, the day came when I boarded my first flight and set off on my adventure around the world. My first stop was in Europe, where I spent several weeks exploring the history and culture of major cities like Paris, Rome, and Barcelona. I was amazed by the wealth of art, architecture, and fine dining. Each city was different from the next, but they all had their own unique charm and character. From Europe, I journeyed to Africa, where I spent several weeks exploring the wildlife and natural beauty of countries like Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa. I went on safari, saw lions, elephants, and giraffes up close, and even camped under the stars. I also met with local tribes and learned about their customs and traditions.Next, I traveled to Asia, where I experienced the bustling energy and vibrant culture of cities like Tokyo, Shanghai, and Bangkok. I also explored ancient temples and visited idyllic villages tucked away in the countryside. I was struck by the contrast between modern and traditional ways of life, and the way that people had adapted to globalization while still holding onto their roots. My journey then took me to Australia and New Zealand, where I marveled at the natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, the red rocks of Uluru, and the stunning fjords of Milford Sound. I also learned about the way of life of the indigenous peoples, both past and present. Finally, my journey took me to the Americas, where I explored the vibrant culture and history of countries like Mexico, Brazil, and the United States. I visited museums, concert venues, and neighborhoods known for their unique cultures and traditions. I also met with locals and learned about their day-to-day lives, passions, and dreams.Throughout my journey, I was struck by the diversity of the world and the beauty of its people and cultures. I met individuals from all walks of life, each with their own story to tell, each with their own set of challenges and accomplishments. I also encountered challenges of my own, whether it was navigating a new city or overcoming a language barrier. But each obstacle was an opportunity to learn and grow, and I returned from my journey with a newfound appreciation for the world and my place in it.As I look back on my journey around the world, I am filled with gratitude for the experiences I had and the people I met. I am also more aware of the challenges and opportunities that exist in our interconnected and rapidly changing world. But above all, I am filled with a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty and diversity of our planet. And I know that my journey is just the beginning. There is still so much to see, so much to learn, and so much to experience.。

I then traveled to Peru, where I was in awe of the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu and the breathtaking scenery of the Amazon rainforest. Each trip has taught me something new about the world and about myself. I have learned to appreciate different cultures, to be more tolerant and understanding, and to embrace the unknown. Traveling has not only broadened my horizons but has also made me more appreciative of the small things in life.In conclusion, my journey through the world has been an enriching and transformative experience. It has taught meto be open to new experiences, to embrace diversity, and to cherish the moments that make each trip unique. As I continue to explore, I am excited to see what the future holds and the lessons it will teach me.**穿越时光的旅行:我的环球之旅**旅行一直是我的热爱,是我逃离日常生活单调乏味的方式,也是我沉浸在新的文化、风景和体验中的方式。

For example, Juan Hinestroza, a scientist from Colombia, is making shirts, pants, dresses, and other clothing items. Some of these clothes warm or cool your body when the weather changes. Others change color and style. A third type never gets dirty. We can use less water, says Hinestroza, if we don’t wash clothes all the time.Other scientists and designers are working together to protect people from malaria. Frederick Ochanda, a scientist from Kenya, is making a special suit to stop malaria. The clothes have a chemical inside that stops mosquitoes.
