Doing..., 主+谓...

doing作状语，逻辑主语与句子的主语一致，构成主动关系；有时可以在doing前加before, after, while等; 但如果是被动关系，应该使用过去分词done作状语。例如：

浅谈新高考英语读后续写

读后续写一直都是大多数学生最头疼的一件事，“力不从心”最能描写学生们对此的态度；当然怎样有效地提高学生的写作能力也一直困扰着老师。英语书面的表达能力的形成不是一日之功，必须从平时课堂教学点滴抓起，持之以恒，滴水穿石，才有可能解决最后的难题。

一、教学理念

读后续写是高考英语改革后出现的新作文题型，学生通过深入阅读与读后写作过程，激发内在的认知因素和探索能力，培养逻辑思维和创造思维。新课程标准倡导以学生为主体，通过感知、体验、实践、参与等方式培养创新意识和实践能力，而读后续写正践行了该理念。

二、续写技巧

读后续写，一方面很好地考查学生对所学语言知识的实际运用能力，而另一方面，也培养学生的发散思维能力。读后续写不是随心所欲，而是沿用文章中的要点提示，如人物、地点、事件，进行合理的想像描写，构成一篇新的文章。“续写”的文章在内容上必须与原文保持着一脉相承的关系，即事情的发展、人物的性格与原文有因果联系。在写作过程中，以下这几个过程尤为重要。

（1）精读

读后续写的阅读材料，多以记叙文故事类文章或者夹叙夹议类文章为主，故事情节有曲折、有起伏，但故事线索的逻辑性比较强，材料中已点明有关要素，我们需要进一步研读文本：事件的具体进展，人物的语言、动作行为、心理活动、表情等。

学生需要确定文章线索，了解给定短文的主要内容，清楚其关键词和语言结构的使用情况。每篇文章都有各自独特的写作思路，如以时间为线索还是以空间为线索等，这样有利于学生“顺藤摸瓜（结尾）”，做到“心中有数”。 抓住所供材料的线索，就能写好故事的结局。

（2）合理猜想

读后续写除了要求学生掌握丰富的词汇和句式外，还注重学生的内容构思和情节衔接的能力。进行续写时，要做到合情合理，弄清原文的线索、中心思想、人物性格和品质。续写文章更加要注意句与句之间的连接词，甚至是冠词的暗示作用。如《考试说明》的样题中续写部分的第二段“the Police Station”中的“the”表明在上一段中已经提到。
