Lesson 1 It’s too expensive!
Teaching Aims:
1.Review the structures:
This is a (skirt).
These are (shorts).
What’s this? It is/It’s a (skirt).
What are these? They are/They’re (shoes).
How much is it/are they? It’s/They’re (15) yuan.
2.Learn the structures:
Do you have any (shoes)?
3.Have the students understand this story.
4.Enable the students act this story in the scene, and have them get
interesting in the study.

Teaching Aids: wall pictures, tape, cards.
Teaching steps:
Step 1 Review
1.Greeting.
2.Revivew the numbers from one to twenty. 3. Play a game for reviewing the sentences:
What’s this?
It is/It’s a (book).
What are these?
They are/They’re (books).
How much is it/are they?
It’s/They’re (5/15) yuan.
[游戏规则:把全班分成两队。叫一名学生上台抽一种物品,并悄悄告诉他那组的领队。这名学生所在小组一起句型提问,学生作出动作让小组猜物品、价格,并且小组能用相应句型答出的获一分。]
Step 2 Introduce new numbers
1.Present the number thirty.Say the number aloud and have the students
repeat it.
2.Repeat the procedure for forty through ninety.
3.Find the order for expanding. For example, twenty-one…thirty-one…
Step 3 Set the scene
1.Set the scene “store”.
2.Have the students compare the price of each one. Elicit the words
expensive and cheap.
e the same procedure used to present the words “clothes, size,
medium, and large”. .
Step 4 Model the dialog 1.Present the cards for “a skirt”, “shorts”, “trousers”, and “shoes”. Model
them and have the students repeat them.
2.Take the words into the sentences “This is a skirt.” “These are
trousers.” Have the students feel their different.
3.Show the question, “What ‘s this?/ What are these?” Elicit, “It’s a/
They’re______.”
4.Review the sentences.
A: How much is it/ are they?
B: It’s/They’re _______yuan.
5.Learn the stucture “Do you have any (shoes)?” Elicit the two possible
answers “Yes, I do.” “No, I don’t.”
6.Do action “shopping”.
Step 5 Talk about the story
Have the students open their books at page 26 and 27. Then ask some
questions about the pictures.
Step 4 Story
1.ay the tape and have the students look at the pictures as they listen.
2.Play the tape again, pointing to each picture. Have the students repeat
the words each time.
Step 5 Set homework
Encourage the students to tell the story to their families.

Teaching Aims:
1.Review the structures:

What are these?/What are they? They’re (shoes).
Do you have any (trousers)? Yes, we do. / No, we don’t.
2.Learn the structures:
We have some (socks).
3.Learn the vocabulary about some clothes.
4.Have the students get interesting in the study.
Teaching important and difficult points:
Enable the students pronounce the words clearly. Teaching Aids: vocabulary cards, sentences cards, and tape.
Teaching steps:
Step1. Warm-up
1. Greeting.
2. Sing a song “one, two, three, four, five”.

Step2. Presentation
T: Welcome to my home! Look some pictures!
(CAI出示图片:周杰伦、刘翔、布娃娃、百元钞、SHE乐队)——Show them one by one with asking: Do you like (Zhoujielun) ?
Have the students answer: Yes, we do./ No, we don’t.
[设计意图:以学生感兴趣的事物过渡,贴近学生内心世界,调动了学生的好奇心,使得学生对本节课内容学习充满期待。]
Step3. Learn words “coat, sweater, jeans, shoes”
1.T: Do you like my coat?
Ss: Yes, we do.
2. Read the word “coat” after the teacher.
3. T(指大衣): What’s this?
Ss: It’s a coat.
4.Lean the word “sweater” to repeating part1~part3.
5.T: Do you like my jeans? Ss: Yes, we do.
6. Read the word “jeans” after the teacher.
7. T(指牛仔裤): What are these?
Ss: They’re jeans.
8. Learn the word “shoes” to repeating part5~part7.
9. Sing a song “one , two , three , four , five”(用四个服装单词替代旧歌词中的四个事物巩固新授单词。)
Step4. Learn the words “dress, skirt, pajamas, socks”
1. T: Do you want to see my some clothes’ pictures?
Ss: Yes.
2. (幻灯出示图片)
a. Show the pictures “coat, sweater, jeans, shoes” in turn, and have the
students read them together .
b. Show the pictures “dress, skirt, pajamas, socks” one by one.
Teach these words. (领读、全体跟读、个别读相结合)
3. Drill these 4 words:
T: What’s this? / What are these?
Ss: It’s a . / They’re .
