Neil Pasricha: The 3 A’s of Awesome
At the beginning of the speech, the narrator dwells on his family’s early experience, especially those tiny but awesome things. During his childhood, his life was pretty good, he said. But little and wonderful things are always forgotten by us, because we take them as granted. We thought they should be the way they were. However, when someday they changed, we’ll realize how valuable is it. Just as the speaker told us the misfortunes he suffered, if we are faced with those grief things, it will also be very difficult for us think of anything good. Then he recognized that he should focus on something positive. In that, he established a website called to remind himself of the simple, universal, little pleasures which are all common that everyone must have experienced them, but instead, we often overlook them. With more and more people click on his website, he got a Webby award for Best Blog. And one year later, his book named The Book of Awesome published. Then the narrator put his emphasis on the 3A which are attitude, awareness and authenticity in turn. He encourages everyone to be brave to face the future rather than swirl and twirl and gloom and doom forever when you will be tossed in the well. He also want us to remember the first happy things once we met and embrace our inner three-year-old. He insists that
everybody should be an authentic person who is being oneself and being cool with that. During the speech, he showed his gratitude to his parents, too. At last, he proposed that we ought to cherish the moment we have with 3A and our life will be rich and satisfying.。
