父亲说，因为没钱买火车票，他在火车站等来火车后，等列车员关了车门、车欲开出时才扒上车门位置，面朝外，侧背行李，双臂各扣住两侧的立杆死死不放，一路熬到蚌埠。

其间途经淮河大桥时，还遭遇铁路工人用水管喷水，他只知道紧闭着眼，死死揽着门杆不放。

到了蚌埠站，想沿着铁道走出站的父亲还是被工作人员揪住，带回了值班室。

直说没钱买票回学校，车站的人不信。

打开行李搜，看到那几个山芋。

车站的人一时无语，最后说了三个字“你走吧”。

真不知道那五个山芋父亲吃了多久，不知道他如何面对那学期的所有问题…… 听完故事，我真有彻骨的悲！甚至有些纳闷：父亲跟我讲过那么多故事，这么惨绝的故事为什么不早些拿出来教育我这个浪子呢？竟然还有“保留曲目”。

后来细想，之前父亲的故事都是关于应对困难、劝人节俭之类的，听故事的时候我还小，那时日子也并不好过，总觉得我还没有尝到甜的时候你让我忆什么苦呢？所以那些励志故事我是不太能听进去的，只愿想着努力摆脱。
