1. Describe a quiet place you found2. Describe a time that you were shopping in a street market3. Describe something you do to keep you concentrated4. Describe a favorite song of yours5. Describe a popular comic actor in your country二、具体题目分析:Describe a quiet place you foundYou should say:Where it isWhen you found itHow often you go thereWhat it is likeHow you felt about the placeWell, there are just a few places that I know to be quiet. The reason isbecause nowadays there is just so much activity going on outside that it’s hardto find a place that is quiet. Anyway, the place is the public library. This particular public library is located in the center of XX near a McDonald’s. The library was constructed seven years ago. And when it was finished it was a fascinating achievement, like most of my peers, I paid a visit there the firstday it opened. When talking about how often I go there I have to say that in recent years I’ve stopped going as often as I used to. When the library was new I probably showed up there once or twice a week. But, nowadays, I only get in there once or twice a month. But that’s because I’m busy with other things. When I go there I usually find a book that looks interesting. Then I take the bookand sit myself down in a chair and begin reading. Well, finally I want to revealthe real reason I liked going there so much, the library has a rather coolfeature where you are allowed to bring in your own books to read and if you are willing you can leave them there in a personal book shelf which you have to pay for of course. Actually, I have so many books at home already so this servicewas very appealing to me. I still pay the monthly subscription to store my books there to this day. It’s very cheap only 5 yuan per month.

Traffic and housing problems in major cities can be solved by moving largecompanies, factories and their employees to the countryside. To what extent do you agree or disagree?(Word count:280)The busy rush hour traffic and the skyrocketing price of houses in mostmajor cities lead to the question of how to tackle these two problems. Somepeople suggest that large companies, industrial plants as well as their staffshould be moved to countryside, and I completely agree with this point ofview.Traffic congestion in metropolis can be significantly reduced by relocatinglarge firms and plants to regional zones. It is believed that the responsibilityfor metropolis’s traffic problems in city center mainly falls upon officeworkers rushing to workplace in the urban area at peak hour. Moving the major companies, which are currently located in city center, to countryside means that workers have more routes to choose from when they go to work, instead of alldriving on the main roads at the same time. It is, therefore, less likely tocause traffic jam.Similar effects can be seen in the housing problem if such action is takeninto effect. If large corporations with thousands of staff are moved to lesspopulated area with lower renting fees, some young white- and blue- collaremployees who currently rent houses in the urban area in major cities are more likely to move to a new location near their workplace in order to save time oncommuting and to save money on the rent. With less population and less demand onthe city center apartments, the price, hopefully, would decrease and more people will be able to afford the houses. In conclusion, companies and factories with a large number of employeesbeing moved to less populated areas could greatly mitigate the pressure ontraffic and housing in metropolitan areas.。
