I can't wait to learn more about how they got there!After a few days in London, we're hopping on a train and traveling under the English Channel all the way to Paris, France. The Eiffel Tower is probably the most iconic landmark in the whole world, so I'm really stoked to finally see it up close. I hope we can go up to the top and take in the whole city view. It'sgoing to be amazing! We also absolutely have to visit the Louvre museum to see famous artworks like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. I'm a little nervous about understanding all the French people, but I've been practicing a few phrases like "Bonjour!" and "Merci!"Our next stop is going to be Rome, Italy. I've seen so many pictures and movies about Ancient Roman stuff like the Colosseum and the Pantheon. It's going to be crazy walking through those archaeological sites that are thousands of years old! The Trevi Fountain also looks like such a beautiful place for taking pictures. And you can't go to Italy without eating as much pizza, pasta, and gelato as possible. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!From there, we're heading to Munich, Germany. I really want to explore an authentic Biergarten and see if kids are allowed to drink the special German root beers there. Maybe I can embarrass my little brother by trying out a few German words I learn. A guided tour of a medieval castle is also on my must-do list. Learning about medieval knights, princesses, and stone fortresses will be fascinating. I bet the views from the castle towers are breathtaking too.Our final destination is going to be Amsterdam in the Netherlands. I've heard that this city has a ton of beautiful canals and unique architecture to see. A canal cruise seems like a fun way to be a tourist and learn about the city's history. We're also going to the Anne Frank House, which is a museum about her family's hiding place during World War 2. Reading her famous diary made me really appreciate how brave she was as a young girl experiencing such difficulty. I think it will be an emotional but meaningful place to visit.Throughout this grand European vacation, I'm sure my family and I will have so many funny stories and hilarious memories to look back on. Maybe I'd even catch a glimpse of the Queen!Another place in London I'm dying to visit is the Natural History Museum. I'm obsessed with dinosaurs so getting to see real life fossils and skeletons would blow my mind. I'd spend hours just wandering around looking at T-Rexes, Triceratops, and all the other prehistoric giants.What Will I Do There?Once I'm in London, I've got a huge list of things I want to do and see. At the top is definitely riding the London Eye, that giant Ferris wheel on the River Thames. Can you imagine how crazy the view would be from the very top?? You'd be able to see the entire city! I'd make sure to bring my camera to take pictures from up there.I'm also a big fan of the Harry Potter movies, so I have to go on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour while I'm in London. It's where they filmed all the Hogwarts scenes and sets like the Great Hall and Diagon Alley. I can picture myself right now, walking through the actual corridors and holding a wand from the movies. That would be the coolest!For souvenirs and gifts, I'd spend tons of time wandering around places like Camden Market and Portobello Road. I love old antiques, unique gifts, and funky clothes and jewelry. I bet I could find all sorts of treasures and one-of-a-kind items to bring back home for my family and friends.One thing I'll definitely need to do is try authentic English food. I've heard about things like fish and chips, bangers and mash, Yorkshire pudding, and meat pies. They all sound so delicious and different from what we eat back home. I can't wait to expand my foodie horizons!How Will I Get There?Obviously, the biggest part of my travel plan is figuring out how I'm actually going to get to London from my town. The closest big airport is a 3 hour drive away, so my parents would have to drive me and then put me on a plane. The plane flight to London is pretty long - around 8 hours if we're lucky! I've traveled by plane a couple times before but never that far away. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous about the long flight, but it will be worth it.Once I'm actually in London, we'll hopefully stay at a hotel or Airbnb somewhere right in the heart of the city. That way it will be easy and convenient to use the Underground (their subway/metro system) or even just walk around on foot to all the places I want to go. Getting around a huge city like London will definitely be an adventure!Who Will I Go With?Unfortunately, my travel plans can't just be me going on my own. Since I'm still just a kid, I'll have to bring my parents along for this London adventure. As much as they can cramp my style sometimes, it will be nice to have them there to help me get around and make sure I stay safe. My dad loves history, so I know he's going to be super into places like the Tower of London.
