广告Advertisement英语作文Advertisements give latest information about products. If there were no advertising, consumers could not know about goods in their local shops. Advertising helps sell to a bigger market. Therefore, as more goods are sold they are cheapper. Advertisements also provide money for newspapers, magazines, radios and TV stations, etc.. 广告给我们带来关于产品的最新信息,如果没有广告,消费者对当地商店所卖的货物会一无所知。

But there are also some opinions against advertising. Some people think that advertisements do not give much information but only try to persuade you to buy. Advertisers Perform a Useful Service to the CommunityAdvertisers tend to think big and perhaps this is why they' re always coming in for criticism. Their critics seem to resent them because they have a flair for self-promotion and because they have so much money to throw around. "It' s iniquitous," they say, "that this entirely unproductive industry (if we can call it that) should absorb millions of pounds each year. It only goes to show how much profit the big companies are making. Why don't they stop advertisi ng and reduce the price of their goods? After all, it's the consumer who pays."The poor old consumer! He'd have to pay a great deal more if advertising didn't create mass markets for products. It is precisely because of the heavy advertising that consumer goods are so cheap. But we get the wrong idea if we think the only purpose of advertising is to sell goods. Another equally important function is to inform. Advertisements introduce us to new products or remind us of the existence of ones we already know about.Lots of peop le pretend that they never read advertisements, but this claim may be seriously doubted. It is h ardly possible not to read advertisements these days. And what fun they often are, too! A cheerful, witty advertisement makes such a difference to a drab wall or a newspaper full of the daily ration of c alamities.We mus t not forget, either, that advertising makes a positive contribution to our pockets. Newspapers, commercial radio and televis ion companies could not subsist without this source of revenue. The fact that we pay so little for our daily paper, or can enjoy so many broadcast programs is due entirely to the money spent by advertisers.Another thing we mustn't forget is the "small ads." which are in virtually every newspaper and magazine. What a tremendously useful service they perform for the community! Just about anything can be accomplished through these columns. 这就是一则典型的公益广告。
像这种不是以收费性的商业宣传来创造经济效益,而是“免费推销”某种意识和主张,向公众输送某种文明道德观念,以提高他们的文明程度,获取良好的社会效益的广告,就是公益广告。
公益广告是为了营造一种气氛和声势,即某种社会氛围。
从某种意义上说,一个城市,一个地区,一个国家公益广告的水平,是这一城市、地区、国家民众文化道德水准和社会风气的重要标志。
公益广告的主要作用有两个,一是传播社会文明,弘扬道德风尚;二是企业通过它树立自身良好的社会形象,巩固自己的品牌形象。
一、公益广告的类别从广告发布者身份来分,公益广告可分为三种。
第一种是媒体直接制作发布的公益广告,如电视台、报纸等。
比如中央台就经常发布此类广告。
这是媒体的政治、社会责任。
第二种是社会专门机构发布的公益广告。
比如联合国教科文组织、联合国儿童基金会UNICEF、世界卫生组织、国际野生动物保护组织分别发布过“保护文化遗产”、“儿童有受教育权利”、“不要歧视艾滋病人”、“保护珍稀动物”等公益广告,这类公益广告大多与发布者的职能有关。
第三种是企业发布制作的公益广告。
比如波音公司曾发布过“使人们欢聚一堂”爱立信发布过“关怀来自沟通”等公益广告。
企业不仅做了善事,也确立了自己的社会公益形象。
从广告载体来看,可分为媒体公益广告,如刊播在电视、报纸上的广告和户外广告,如车站、巴士、路牌上面的公益广告。
从公益广告题材上分,可分为政治政策类选题,如改革开放20年、迎接建国50周年、科技兴国、推进民主和法制、扶贫等;节日类,如“五一”、“教师节”、“重阳节”、“植树节”等;社会文明类,如保护环境、节约用水、关心残疾人等;健康类,如反吸烟、全民健身、爱眼等;社会焦点类,如下岗、打假、扫黄打非、反毒、希望工程等。
百万富翁的悲哀1. 百万富翁是一个虽小却正在扩大成长的阶层,我们当中任何人都可能由于做生意发了横财,明天就跻身于这个阶层。
然而这个阶层在社会上或许是最受忽视的。
为百万富翁鸣不平的小文章,据我所知,这还是第一篇。
2. 从制造商各种各样的广告中我发现,每样商品都是为了百万大众而不是为百万富翁而生产。
这些广告迎合各种各样的人:儿童,少年,青年,绅士,太太小姐,手艺人,职员,甚至贵族和国王,他们都能得到供应;但是百万富翁的惠顾显然并不值得欢迎,因为他们人数太少。
