表示“ 越……，就越……” The more you eat, the fatter you will be. The harder you study, the more you will get. The smaller the house is, the less it will cost. The sooner, the better.

More examples: Mary is cleverer than her little sister. The new building is higher than the old one. His shirt is more expensive than mine. Kate is more beautiful than Lily is. She is five years older than I am. He is 2 centimeters taller than her. This ruler is 20 centimeters longer than that one.

用法
比较级是形容词和副词的一种形式， 用于描述事物之间的相对差异。在英 语中，大多数形容词和副词都有比较 级的形式。
在英语中，最高级的形式有误，例如“bestest”而不是 “best”。
忽略最高级的规则
在构成最高级时，没有遵循正确的规则，例如“happy” 的最高级应该是“happiest”而不是“happyist”。
最高级的语境不当
在不适合使用最高级的语境中使用了最高级，例如在“She is the tallest person in the room.”（她是

一： 用法 ⑴用于两者（人或物）之间，表示“其中一个比另一更……”

①一般直接在词尾加er或 est tall —taller--tallest
light —lighter--lightest
（3）“比较级+and+比较级”表示“越来越……” eg: He becomes fatter and fatter.
他越来越胖了。 She studies better and better. 她学得越来越好了。

（4）“The +比较级…，the +比较级”表示“越……， 越……” eg：他越忙就越高兴。 The busier he is ,the happier he feels. 你吃的越多，你就越胖。 The more you eat, the fatter you will become.
或“较……”，后面通常用连词than连结另一个比较的对象 ，其基本句型是：
主语＋谓语（系动词）＋形容词比较级＋than ＋对比对象。
eg: 吉姆比迈克高。 Jim is taller than Mike. 迈克比吉姆矮 Mike is shorter than Jim.
