for people around the world. As a high school student, I am proud to have the opportunity

to share with you some insights into Chinese culture.

First and foremost, Chinese culture is deeply rooted in tradition and history. The long

history of China has left behind a wealth of cultural heritage, including traditional

festivals, customs, and art forms. For example, the Spring Festival, also known as

Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional festival in China. It is a time for

family reunion, delicious food, and beautiful fireworks. The traditional Chinese painting,

calligraphy, and poetry also reflect the profound cultural heritage of China.

Furthermore, Chinese culture is known for its emphasis on harmony and respect for

elders. In traditional Chinese society, filial piety, or the respect for one's parents and

ancestors, is highly valued. It is considered a moral obligation for children to take care of

their parents as they age. Additionally, Confucianism, with its emphasis on social

harmony and moral cultivation, has had a profound influence on Chinese culture for

thousands of years.

In addition to tradition and harmony, Chinese culture is also known for its delicious

cuisine. Chinese cuisine is diverse and varied, with different regions having their own

unique culinary traditions. From the spicy flavors of Sichuan cuisine to the delicate dim

sum of Cantonese cuisine, Chinese food is a reflection of the country's rich and diverse

culture.

Moreover, Chinese culture has made significant contributions to the world in the

fields of science, technology, and philosophy. Ancient Chinese inventions such as

papermaking, printing, and the compass have had a profound impact on human

civilization. The philosophy of Taoism and Buddhism, originating from China, has also

influenced the spiritual beliefs of people around the world. In conclusion, Chinese culture is a treasure trove of tradition, history, and diversity.

From traditional festivals to delicious cuisine, from the emphasis on harmony to the

contributions to human civilization, Chinese culture has much to offer to the world. As

we continue to learn and appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture, we also gain a deeper

understanding of the world and its people. Thank you.

a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep

as a treasure. In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied

Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he

ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the

the society ,culture have changed greatly.In the city, no
