▲ rain 可作动词，意为“下雨”。如:

It often rains in summer here.

▲ rain 也可作名词，意为“雨；雨水”。如:

Don’t go out in the rain.

▲ rain的形容词形式是rainy, 是由名词rain加后缀-y构成的，意为“阴雨的；多雨的”。

【提示】

类似由名词加后缀-y变形容词的还有wind→windy, cloud→cloudy, snow→snowy,

sun→sunny等。
