I started learning English on my own a few years ago,

and it has been a challenging but rewarding journey. At

first, I struggled with basic grammar and vocabulary, but I

didn't give up. I used various resources such as online

courses, language exchange partners, and English books to

improve my skills. Gradually, I became more confident in

speaking and writing in English.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was understanding

and using idioms and colloquial expressions. I remember

when I first heard the phrase "it's raining cats and dogs"

and I was so confused. I thought it was a literal statement

about animals falling from the sky! But after some research

and practice, I realized that it actually means it's

raining heavily. Learning these idioms and expressions has

not only improved my language skills but also helped me
