1. 大熊猫

大熊猫是一种古老的动物，被动物学家称为“活化石”。与它同一时期的动物如剑齿虎等，早已灭绝并成为化石。化石显示，大熊猫祖先出现在2~3百万年前的洪积纪早期。距今几十万年前是大熊猫的极盛时期，它属于剑齿象古生物群，大熊猫的栖息地曾覆盖了中国东部和南部的大部分地区，北达北京，南至缅甸南部和越南北部（夏勒，1993年）。现在分布在我国四川北部、陕西和甘肃南部，是我国的一类保护动物。

大熊猫也叫‘猫熊’，是哺乳动物，身体肥胖，形状像熊但要略小一些，尾巴短，眼睛周围、耳朵、前后肢和肩部是黑色，其余都是白色。毛密而有光泽，耐寒。喜欢吃竹叶、竹笋。目前已知的大熊猫的毛色共有三种：黑白色、棕白色、白色。

生活在陕西秦岭的大熊猫因头部更圆而更像猫，被誉为国宝中的“美人”。

金丝猴

金丝猴是地球上稀有的珍贵动物之一，世界上的金丝猴仅有4种，它们是川金丝猴、滇金丝猴、黔金丝猴和越南金丝猴，前三种都产于我国，因此金丝猴也可以说是我国的特有种类，同时金丝猴也是我国一级保护动物。目前，除我国外，这些稀世珍宝在世界上仅有法国、英国等极少数国家的博物馆中收藏有若干标本。金丝猴的珍贵程度与大熊猫齐名，同属“国宝级动物”，它们毛色艳丽，形态独特，动作优雅，性情温和，深受人们的喜爱。

体长约70厘米，尾长约与体长相等或长些。鼻孔大，上仰。唇厚，无颊囊。背部的毛长发亮，颜色为青色，头顶、颈、肩、上臂、背和尾的毛为灰黑色，头侧、颈侧、躯干腹面和四肢内侧的毛为褐黄色，毛质十分柔软。因其鼻孔极度退化，即俗称“没鼻梁子”，因而使鼻孔仰面朝天，所以又有“仰鼻猴”的别称。

金丝猴共四种，仅我国分布的三种均已被列为国家一级保护动物。

主要的区别是：川金丝猴（r．roxellanae）脸上的毛为天蓝色，故又称“蓝面猴”。两侧、胸及后腿的毛为金黄色，分布于四川、甘肃和陕西；
