ALaughter Yoga is a unique technique invented by Dr Kataria, a doctor from India, by which you can learn to “Laugh for No Reason”. You don't even need a sense of humor, no funny jokes or comedy programs—just a willingness to laugh—and in the present climate everyone needs to laugh more.Laughter Yoga is a combination of Laughter Exercises and Yogic Breathing, so that you increase the amount of oxygen in your body while being playful, resulting in you feeling healthier, energetic and alive. This actually changes the physical conditions of your body so that you start to feel happier.Laughter Yoga is generally done in groups although it can be practiced alone. When you make eye contact with someone and you're both willing to laugh, the laughter is i ncreased. However, we do say that you can “Fake(假装) it, fake it till you make it” because the body doesn't know the difference between fake and true laughter; as long as you're willing to laugh you'll experience the same health benefits.Laughter Yoga started in a park in Mumbai in 1995 with just 5 participants, and now there are over 6,000 laughter clubs in 60 different countries—showing the willingness of the world to laugh together. In the UK, Julie was one of the first people to train as a Laughter Leader with Dr Kataria in June 2002. In 2006 she was awarded Laughter Ambassador for her selfless service to promote Laughter Yoga.“Yoga has been part of my life for 30 years but 7 years ago my life changed when I discovered Laughter Yoga. She hopes to use the language at next year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo. Takamizawa was one of the more than 200, 00 people who requested to volunteer for Tokyo’s 2020 Games. English is not required for service, but it is a useful skillfor volunteers to have. But Takamizawa had not been able to learn the language when she was young. Takamizawa said that she was in high school when World War Two started. She said, “In my second year there, English was banned because it was the enemy language.”Takamizawa said her grandchildren helped persuade her that she was not too old to learn. “When I talked to my grandchildren about my wish, they said, ‘It’s not too late. We will teach you one word a day’ ”. Natsuko is Takamizawa’s granddaughter and main English teacher. Natsuko sends a new English word to her grandmother’s phone every day. They also often work together directly on phrases that Takamizawa will need for the Olympics. “Welcome to Tokyo, this is the Olympic stadium, how can I help you?” Takamizawa answers when asked to say an English phrase she has learned. Natsuko explains that she wanted to give her grandmother something to enjoy. “I can clearly see her English is getting better. It’s my joy now.”The EF English Proficiency Index is a measure of the level of English spoken in a country. Japan ranks 49th among countries where English is not the first language. This situation is slowly changing as younger generations welcome English. However, Takamizawa believes real change will not happen unless Japanese people become more open to the rest of the world. As a new mother, you should know that your child is ready to learn about the world from birth.Touch. One of the most important means of communicating a mother has with her baby is touch. Babies enjoy gentle touch and rhythmic(有节奏的) movement. While inside the mother, the baby is used to being rocked by the mother's movements. After birth, the same rocking movements comfort him or her. Crying babies often become quiet by being put close to the mother's body and gently rocked. Even the most common activities—feeding and bathing the baby, or walking with the baby in your arms—improve the baby's sense of touch and movement.Smell and Taste. Even at birth, babies show that they can tell apart different kinds of smells by turning away from unpleasant ones. They quickly learn to recognize familiar smells, especially their mothers'. Although their taste organs aren't completely developed, they can tell sweet from sour and much prefer the former. Hearing. A baby listens to your voice, your heartbeat, breathing, and so on. When his or her head is pressed against your chest, those familiar sounds are comforting, and many babies fall asleep in this position. You may notice that high-pitched(高声的) voices are more pleasant to babies, so men should raise the pitch of their voices when speaking to them. As a baby gains more control over his or her head movements, it becomes clear that he or she can correctly identify the location of a sound source. Loud, sharp noises often upset babies, while soft, rhythmic sounds calm them down. Music boxes, toys that make pleasant sounds and soft music stimulate(激发) the babies' sense of hearing.27.
