英语二作文范文(优选28篇)英语二作文范文第5篇英语二作文范文第18篇英语二作文范文第25篇As is illustrated in the chart, significant changes have occurred in China's total express business volume and rural express business volume from 2023 to 2023. The total number is roughly 51 billion in 2023,64 billion in 2023 and around 83 billion in number of Chinese rural express packages in 2023 is 12 billion, while the number jumped dramatically to 30 billion in 2023.What accounts for the increase? From my perspective, at least three factors contribute to the changes. To begin with, the availability of computers and smartphones is the foremost contributor and the rapid development of information technology enables nearly everybody to have access to the Internet. More importantly, the change is closely related to the rising income of the Chinese people, especially the residents living in rural areas. Finally, the changes are enhanced and promoted by the government's bettering policies as well as the more convenient channels in the e-commerce field. With the development of China's economy and society, the rising trend is bound to continue for a couple of years in the far as I am concerned, it's a positive trend and should be encouraged.英语二作文范文第26篇20xx年的考研越来越近了。

Rivers may be a significant source of the greenhouse gas nitrou s oxide (一氧化二氮), scientists now find.Their calculation suggests that across the globe the waterways contribute three times the amount of nitrous oxide to the atmos phere as had been estimated by the International Panel on Clim ate Change (IPCC), the United Nations scientific body charged with reviewing climate change research. They found that the a mount of nitrous oxide produced in streams is related to human activities that release nitrogen (氮) into the environment, such a s fertilizer use and sewage discharges.“Human activities, including fossil fuel combustion and intensive agriculture, have increased the availability of nitrogen in the en vironment,” said Jake Beaulieu of the University of Notre Dame and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in , , and lead a uthor of the paper published this week in the journal Proceeding s of the National Academy of Sciences.“Much of this nitrogen is transported into river and stream netw orks,” Beaulieu said. There, microbes (微生物) convert the nitrogen into nitrous oxide (also called laughing gas) and an inert gas called dinitrogen (二氮).The finding is important, the researchers say, because nitrous o xide is a powerful greenhousegas that contributes to climate change and destruction of the str atosphere’s ozone layer, which protects us from the sun’s harm ful ultraviolet (紫外线) radiation. Compared with carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide is 30 0-fold more powerful in terms of its warming potential, though car bon dioxide isa far more common greenhouse gas. Scientists estimate nitrou s oxide accounts for about 6 percent of human-induced climate change.Beaulieu and colleagues measured nitrous oxide production rat es in 72 streams. When summed across the globe, the results s howed rivers and streams are the source of at least 10 percent of human-caused nitrous oxide emissions to the atmosphere. “Changes in agricultural and land-use practices that result in less nitrogen being delivered to streams would reduce nitrous oxide emissions from river networks,” Beaulieu said.1. From the second paragraph we can learn .A. actually rivers give off much more nitrous oxide than expecte dB. scientists’ calculation is totally wrongC. human activities release nitrous oxide in to the riversD. there is no nitrogen in fertilizer2. Which of the following is NOT the source of nitrogen?A. Fertilizer use.B. Sewage discharges.C. Fossil fuel combustion.D. Climate change.3. If friends fall for friends, they are often in a dilemma.
Nicole, a junior at Stanford, found her good friend fell for her. “He is a nice guy, but I was just not attracted to him,” she said. “He kept asking me out and I kept saying no.” Nicole resolved the situation uniquely. She told a girlfriend who liked him to go out with him. “He has not been after me since,” she said. “I have just tried to act as if nothing unusual ever happened. It is hard, but I don’t want lose his friendship. We’ve remained friends through all the changes.”
The falling-for-a-friend situation isn’t always easy to resolve. Some choose to tell their friend and are met by a pleasant surprise when they find their friend feels the same way. Others get a kind, sympathetic refusal. And still others keep quiet and watch, silently tortured, as their best friend dates someone else.
Whatever happens, it’s risky. Tell and you can lose a friendship or gain a solid love. Don’t tell and you feel it too painful to watch that person date someone else.
Alan Hart, a junior at Harvard, started to fall for a good friend. The girl has a boyfriend who treats her poorly and Hart is the person she turns to when she’s upset, so Alan has never told her he loves her. He said he cares enough about her to know that her comfort and security are more important. And he does not want to see things become uncomfortable if he tells her how he feels.
Kelly Flynn, a senior at MIT, took a different approach. After a year of having feelings for a close friend, the two came to be more than friends. But the decision was mutual after they were sure the relationship would work.
“When you date someone that you haven’t spent time with before, it is always awkward,” said Flynn. “I think it is much easier to talk with som eone if you have already had a chance to know each other as friend.”。
