驻英大使伦敦奥运“中国之家”揭幕仪式致辞

伦敦奥运会“中国之家”揭幕仪式于当地时间7月25日中午在伦敦华尔道夫酒店举行，这标志着中国奥委会在伦敦奥运会期间设立的接待中心——“中国之家”开始正式承担起服务中国体育代表团、促进中国奥委会与各界交流的使命。

中国奥委会主席、国家体育总局局长刘鹏、中国驻英大使刘晓明共同为“中国之家”揭幕。

中国奥委会副主席杨树安、国际奥委会副主席于再清、英国驻华大使吴思田以及来自各国奥委会、国际单项体联、当地华人华侨代表和英国各界友好人士近百人出席了揭幕仪式。

刘鹏局长在致词中指出：“这是中国奥委会首次在夏季奥运会期间设立‘中国之家’。

‘中国之家’，顾名思义，就是以中国形象、用中国的礼仪接待包括国际奥委会、亚奥理事会、各奥运会组委会、国家／地区奥委会和各世界单项体育联合会等在内的奥林匹克大家庭成员，为加强国际间体育交流与合作提供平台和场所。

同时，‘中国之家’也是中国体育代表团和相关机构、团体在伦敦的‘家’。

”刘晓明大使表示，中国驻英国大使馆将全力支持“中国之家”的运作，共同使“中国之家”成为传播中国文化、弘扬奥林匹克精神、推动中英交流、增进中英友谊的良好平台。

伦敦奥运会“中国之家”自7月25日至8月11日共运营18天。

在此期间，“中国之家”为中国体育代表团和国内采访伦敦奥运会的注册媒体提供服务，为中国奥委会的合作企业提供宣传展示的场所，同时也是中国奥委会与各界沟通交流的平台。

从上世纪80年代起，一些国家奥委会陆续在奥运会主办城市设立临时服务中心，为本国奥运代表团提供后勤保障。

随着奥运会的影响力和文化交流功能的不断提升，各国奥委会的服务中心也逐渐演化为集服务、社交、新闻发布、文化传播等功能于一身的综合性设施。

作为中国奥委会的接待中心，“中国之家”最早于2010年温哥华冬奥会中亮相，此后又相继在同年举行的新加坡青奥会和2011年广州亚运会中设立。

I am absolutely delighted, and incredibly proud, that London has won its bid to host the Olympic Games in 2012. We faced stiff competition from four other excellent cities, making London's win all the more impressive. The whole country of Britain pulled together to create an inspiring bid, and now the hard work and enthusiasm of the British people has paid off. As Ambassador to Beijing, I am particularly struck by the significance Britain's win has for UK–China relations. Our two countries work increasing closely together on a number of bilateral and global issues, from tackling the challenge of climate change to building on strong trade links. Now we have something else in common – we will both become proud Olympic hosts in the 21st century. I, along with the whole Chinese nation, was jubilant when Beijing won its bid to host the 2008 Olympics.And I have been impressed by the rapid and comprehensive work that China has done to prepare for the Games. Britain has been working closely with China on its preparations: we have a number of agreements on sports between our two countries, and British architecture and engineering companies such as Arup have won contracts to design the "Bird's Nest" Stadium and the "Water Cube" National Swimming Centre here in Beijing. With London's successful bid, the opportunities for increased co-operation and partnership between the UK and China will multiply, and I will be encouraging this development wholeheartedly.这次英国胜出对中英关系所产生的深远影响，作为英国驻华大使我感受特别强烈。
