(1)Status and function of the text

The topic of this unit is women of

great achievements. This period plays a

very important role in the learning of

this unit. It will help the Ss get to

know more great women in world and how to

describe people. It will be helpful for

them to learn the rest of this unit.

(2).Teaching aims

To get the Ss to learn something

about Jane ’s research and his achievements.

Knowledge aim :Ability aim :To develop the Ss ’reading

ability and reading skills 。Emotional aim :To learn Jane Goodall ’s bravery

and perseverance in achieving his goals.

To reinforce the sense of wildlife protection.

❖As Senior High School students, most of the students have got basic abilities of listening, reading, writing and speaking. They still need many opportunities to develop their reading ability and reading skills. So the lesson is both easy and a challenge to Ss.

步骤一读前

1.引导学生回顾Warming Up部分Jane Goodall的事迹,复习上节课所学过的词汇。

I. Pre-reading

1. Retell the story about

Jane Goodall.

2. 让学生分组讨论问题。

4. 让学生做词汇搭配练习,了解学生的预习

设计意图:简单复习上节课内容,让学生回顾Jane Goodall 的事迹,为本节阅读课作好铺垫。小组讨论

问题还可以激发学生的学习欲望,引导学生对事物的发展进行预测,从而自然引出本节课的学习内容。接下来的进一步预测是培养学生充分利用阅读标题和图片的意识。读前处理生词,在检查学生课下作业的同时也为接下来的阅读扫清了词汇障碍。
