A Book Report on Charl otte’s WebIntroduction:Charl otte's Web is a chil dren's novel by American author E. B. White, The book was first published in 1952, with illustrations by Garth Williams. 二、高职高专生英语课外阅读现状高职高专学生英语基础参差不齐，学习习惯欠佳，学习能力有限。

经过对本校百余名高职高专生的问卷调查发现，他们当中仅有不到百分之五的学生会时不时进行英语课外阅读。

很少或从未进行英语课外阅读的学生反映，他们的主要困难包括“可找到的适合的英语材料太少，多数阅读材料太难，看不懂”，“对英语阅读没兴趣”，“文章长的，读到后面忘前面”和“没有时间读”。

针对该现象，教师应把课外阅读纳入教学计划，把引导学生阅读课外读物视为教学内容的组成部分。

三、具体实施方法（一）注重教师的熏染作用“身教胜过言教”，教师的文化素养和底蕴对学生的阅读起着潜移默化的作用。

教师要带头阅读，才能引导学生阅读；教师要喜爱阅读，才能引导学生爱上阅读。

因此，教师自身要保持广泛的阅读面和一定的阅读量，以便经常把优秀的书刊文章推荐给学生，并善于抓住时机与学生谈论自己的读书心得，让学生感染课外阅读的乐趣。

教师还应该尽可能地为学生创设英语阅读的环境。
