第一段所给首句“Suddenly a little rabbit jumped out in front of my horse.”
Thanks to my conservative(保守的) Jewish background, I didn ' t believe in angels. That is,not until Christmas Eve of 1979, when an angel brought unexpected joy to my home. After divorce, my two daughters not only lost the security of a whole family, they also tearfully left behind neighborhood friends, a familiar school, and a large house. These had all been replaced with a narrow two-bedroom apartment in a poorer part of town.I arranged to take my vocation during my childr en' sw inter school holiday. We spent evenings planning activities: cookie baking, games, a pizza night, and evening car rides to view neighborhood holiday lights. With expectation, they seemed to be in good spirits. The week before the school break, however, terrible news of family disasters arrived. By Christmas Eve, gloom clouded our vacation plans. An afternoon outing for movie did little to improve our mood.On returning to our apartment, we were astonished to see a beautiful, six-foot Christmas tree propped(支撑) against our front door. In silent wonder, we looked back and forth, from the tree to one another and around the empty street. Excitement built, and the girls begged to keep the tree.“ Maybe it ' s for us, ” insisted my older daughter.“ Yeah, ” echmoeyd younger child. “ I bet an angel brought it to us! ”I laughed aloud at the idea of an angel bringing a Christmas tree to a Jewish family. Caught up in their happiness, I pronounced the tree “ ours. ”We dragged it inside and headed out to the only supermarket in our small town open that late on Christmas Eve. With holiday goods marked down to half price, I gave a nod of approval to a tree stand(底座), two boxes of multicolored balls, a package of six Santa figurines(小雕像), a 100-foot string of mini lights, and one paper angel.Paragraph 1:Back home, we moved “ our ” tree into our tiny living room.Paragraph 2:The annual winter holiday became a family tradition. One possible version:Back home, we moved “ our ” tree into our tiny living r oCohmee. rfully, the girls painted somepaper decorations. With delight that had been absent for months, we started to add the things we bought from the supermarket around the Christmas tree. We strung the lights, hung the multicolored balls and placed the paper angel on top. Finally, with a girl in each of my arms, we sat in the darkness, attracted by the twinkling Christmas tree lights. There was full of joy in our new home. The annual winter holiday became a family tradition. We' df eel complete with a “Jewish Angel ” Chisrtmas tree in member of our heaven-sent gift. For many years, we held our breath and experienced the familiar feeling up our arms when we placed the original paper angel on the top of each tree. Still, every Christmas Eve, my daughters and I talked about the unexpected joy that Christmas tree had brought us and about the special childhood memories at that time.2.
文章结尾处,提到了“from then on, people inthe village started to realize the importance of protecting the environment”这样的话句。

1The Day the Aliens Came to VisitHi, my name is Xiao Ming and I'm 8 years old. I go to Sunshine Elementary School in Beijing. Today I'm going to tell you a wild story about the day the aliens came to visit our school! It all started on a normal Tuesday morning. I was sitting in my desk during Chinese class, struggling to pay attention as my teacher Mr. Wang droned on and on about ancient poetry. Suddenly, there was a huge boom outside that shook the whole building! The windows rattled and the lights flickered."Everyone stay calm!" Mr. Wang shouted over the screams. He ran to the window to see what was going on. His jaw dropped and his eyes bugged out of his head. "You...you have to see this!" he stammered. We all rushed over and gasped at the crazy scene unfolding on the playground. A gigantic silver flying saucer was hovering just a few feet off the ground! Blue lights were flashing all aroundthe rim. Smaller saucer-shaped craft were zipping around the mothership, almost like little motorboats circling a yacht."It...it must be aliens!" someone cried out. A million thoughts raced through my head. I couldn't believe my eyes! Then, a door slid open on the side of the big saucer and a ramp extended down to the ground. A small group of creatures began descending the ramp. They had gray wrinkly skin and huge bald heads with big black eyes. Their bodies looked super skinny and frail, like they didn't have any muscles. Some of them were wearing silvery metallic suits while others just had on basic jumpsuits."Take me to your leader!" boomed a voice coming from the saucer in perfect Mandarin Chinese. It sounded cold and computerized, not warm and natural like a human's voice. The playground went silent for a few moments as the aliens stared at us with their big unblinking eyes. Then, the screaming and chaos erupted. Kids ran in every direction, teachers shouted for everyone to get back inside, parents pulled up in their cars frantically looking for their children. It was pure pandemonium! In the midst of all the insanity, I noticed a young alien nearthe back ofthe group. It appeared to be a kid, nomore than 4feetlall, with the same greenish gray skin and huge eyes as the others. While the adult aliens had stern, emotionless expressions, the alien kid looked...afraid. Scared and lost, curling up and cringing at all the loud noises. In that moment, I realized that alien child was just like me - an elementary school kid who was confused and frightened by the crazy situation unfolding around us. My fear melted away and I felt a strange sense of connection to that young alien. Before I knew what I was doing, I broke away from the crowd and walked right up to the alien kid. Up close, I could see it was clutching a stuffed toy that looked like a fluffy blue version of one of those atetrised aliens from Star Wars. "Hi there!" I said, waving. "Don't be scared. This is just my school."The alien kid's eyes went wide as saucers and it froze in place, hugging the stuffed toy tight. "I'm Xiao Ming," I said gently, giving my best smile. "What's your name?"It was silent for a few moments, just staring at me. Then, in a meek little voice, it answered "...Gloix.""Gloix? That's a cool name!" I replied. "Do you want to be friends?"Slowly, Gloix nodded its hairless head up and down. We both looked over to the cluster of aliens near the saucer. Some of them were shouting in that strange alien language, their voices dripping with anger and aggression. A couple were waving around futuristic laser guns, much to the terror of the teachers and students. This didn't seem to be going very well."Don't worry, it'll be ok," I assured Gloix, putting a hand gently on its bony little shoulder. "My school is a nice place. Those are just my classmates and teachers. I can show you around if you want!"Gloix's eyes went back and forth between me and the confrontation by the saucer a few times. Then, it gave a slight nod and half-smile, like it had made up its mind about something."Great!" I said, gesturing for Gloix to follow me. "Class is probably canceled for the day anyway. Let me show you the playground..."I spent the rest of the morning showing Gloix around the school, explaining the different classrooms, the cafeteria, the sports fields, and all the fun playground equipment. At first Gloix seemed really shy篇2The Gaokao English Test Was Sooooo Hard!Hi guys! It's me, Little Xiao Ming. Today I'm gonna tell you all about the Gaokao English test I took last month. It was super duper hard, like the hardest thing ever! But I tried my bestest and I hope I did okay.First up was the listening part. Oh man, those recordings were super fast! The people were talking like they were on fast forward or something. I could barely catch any words at all. I just had to guess most of the answers. My ears were working overtime trying to keep up. Phew! Then came the reading part. The passages were really really long, with words I've never even seen before. It was like they used a encyclopaedia or something to write those things. There were so many big fancy words that made my head spin. I'm just a little kid, you know? Why they gotta use such hard language? Not fair at all! After that was the fun part - the writing section! Well, it would've been fun if the topics weren't so weird and tricky. One was about how technology is changing education. How am I supposed to know about that? I just know I like playing gameson my tablet. The other topic wanted me to discuss environmental protection. Again, I'm just a little kid! What do I know about saving the world and stuff? I just tried my best to write something that made a little bit of sense.By the time I got to the grammar part, my brain was already fried from all that reading and writing. Identifying parts of speech? Analysing sentence structures? Dude, I can barely speak properly in English, let alone know all the fancy grammar rules. I pretty much winged it and blazed through that section like a champ.Phew, I'm exhausted just thinking about that English test again! I really hope I did okay. Those test makers should go easier on us little kids, you know? We're still learning and stuff. Cut us some slack, will ya?Anyway, that's my crazy experience with the Gaokao English test this year. If you're taking it next year, make sure you prepare really really well. Like, study every single day for the next year! It's that hard, I'm not even kidding.Well, wish me luck guys! I'm off to take a well-deserved nap after that mental marathon. Being a kid genius is tough work! Later dudes!篇3My Trip to WonderlandI just finished reading this strange story for my English exam about a girl named Alice who fell down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world called Wonderland. It was really weird with all these talking animals and everything being backwards and upside-down! But I kind of liked it. It got my imagination going and made me dream about what it would be like to go on a crazy adventure like that myself. After I put down the book, I started feeling a little sleepy. Maybe it was from thinking so hard about that nutty story. I rested my head on the desk for what I thought was just a few minutes. But then I heard this tiny voice saying "Wake up! Wake up!" I looked around and realized I had fallen asleep. And there right in front of me was...a rabbit! A talking rabbit, just like from the story!"You'd better hurry up," said the rabbit, looking at a gold pocket watch. "We're late, very late for a very important date!""A date?" I said groggily. "What are you talking about? Who are you?""Why, I'm the White Rabbit of course!" he said impatiently. "And you're the one they've chosen to come to Wonderland and help us with a very important matter.""Wonderland?" I rubbed my eyes. "You mean that place from the story I just read is real?""Of course it's real," said the White Rabbit. "Now there's no time to waste! We have to go, go, go!"And with that, he grabbed my hand and started pulling me across the classroom floor. I was totally confused but also excited.I had always dreamed of going on an adventure to a magical make-believe land! As we ran, the room around us started changing. The desks and chairs turned into oversized pieces of furniture looming above us. We passed through a small door and suddenly...we weren't in the classroom anymore! We were in a long twisted hallway with doors and staircases leading every which way. We ran down a spiral staircase and emerged in the most incredibly colorful landscape I had ever seen. The sky was a bright turquoise color and the clouds looked like big puffs of pink cotton candy. The trees and plants had so many vibrant colors - blues, purples, oranges - nothing like the regular greens and browns of trees at home. And there were bizarre creatures everywhere - a dodo bird wearing a sailor's hat,a caterpillar smoking a hookah while lounging on a mushroom, and those were just the normal ones!"Do you see now?" said the White Rabbit. "This is Wonderland! We don't have much time, so let me quickly explain why I brought you here..."The White Rabbit told me that Wonderland was in a state of chaos and disorder. You see, the evil Queen of Hearts had started imprisoning and beheading anyone she wanted on totally unfair charges. She was basically terrorizing all the residents of Wonderland with her crazy mood swings. Some of the other residents like the Cheshire Cat, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and the Mad Hatter were trying to fight back against her tyranny. But they needed help from someone from the real world who could approach the Queen without her realizing they were against her."And that's why we need your help!" said the White Rabbit. "You're just an ordinary child from the real world. The Queen will never suspect you of being involved in the resistance against her."It sounded dangerous, but also incredibly exciting! I had read so many stories about heroes going off on epic adventuresto fight evil and restore peace and justice. Now I had the chance to actually do that myself! Of course, I agreed to help right away. The White Rabbit whisked me off to meet the other members of the resistance at their secret hiding spot - the Mad Hatter's house which turned out to be a massive tree trunk. The whole world started spinning as I heard them discussing their plans to sneak me into the Queen's castle. I was incredibly nervous, but also exhilarated. This was my chance to prove I had what it took to be a courageous adventurer! After coming up with an elaborate scheme, I allowed the Cheshire Cat to put a spell on me to disguise me as a pale royal advisor. With my new magical appearance, I was able to walk right into the Queen of Heart's palace without any trouble from the guards. As I made my way to the throne room with my heart pounding, I promised myself I wouldn't get flustered or back down no matter how mean and intimidating the Queen was...Well, those are the first events that happened after I fell down the rabbit hole into Wonderland! I still have the whole adventure ahead of me trying to reason with the篇4Title: My Thoughts on the New GaokaoOh boy, the new Gaokao sure sounds like a big deal! My older sister is preparing for it this year, and she's been studying so hard. I've overheard my parents discussing the changes with her, and it all seems very complicated to me. But I'll try my best to share what I understand about it.The thing that caught my attention the most is that the new Gaokao has fewer subjects to test. Instead of testing every single subject like before, it now focuses on just a few core ones like Chinese, Math, and English. I think that's a great idea because it means students don't have to spread themselves too thin trying to master everything. They can concentrate their efforts on the most important subjects. But what really excites me is the addition of the "Comprehensive Exploration" section. From what I gathered, this part allows students to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. It's not just about regurgitating memorized facts but applying knowledge in practical and innovative ways. Isn't that awesome? My sister told me that in this section, they might be given real-world scenarios or open-ended questions, and they have to come up with solutions or arguments. For example, they could be asked to design a plan to reduce pollution in their city oranalyze the ethical implications of a new technology. I think tasks like these are so much more engaging and relevant than just answering multiple-choice questions.I can't wait until it's my turn to take the new Gaokao! I love puzzles and brain teasers, so the Comprehensive Exploration section sounds right up my alley. I'm sure it'll be challenging, but also a lot of fun.Another thing I find interesting is the emphasis on English proficiency. With the world becoming more interconnected, being able to communicate in English is crucial. The new Gaokao includes a separate English section that tests listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. My sister has been practicing her English conversations with me, and I'm always amazed at how fluent she's becoming.I've also heard that the new Gaokao aims to reduce the intense pressure and stress that students often experience. Instead of having a single, make-or-break exam, there will be multiple assessment opportunities throughout the year. This means students can perform better without the overwhelming anxiety of having everything ride on one test.Ultimately, what I find most exciting about the new Gaokao is that it seems to recognize the importance of creativity, criticalthinking, and practical skills – qualities that will be invaluable in the future job market and society. It's not just about memorizing facts but about developing the ability to analyze, innovate, and solve complex problems.Who knows, maybe by the time I reach high school, the Gaokao will have evolved even further, incorporating more hands-on projects, group collaborations, or even virtual reality simulations! The possibilities are endless, and I can't wait to see what the future of education holds. For now, I'll continue cheering on my sister and wishing her the best of luck with her preparations. And when it's my turn, I'll be ready to embrace the new Gaokao with open arms, eager to showcase my unique talents and abilities.Education is an ever-evolving journey, and the new Gaokao feels like an exciting step towards nurturing more curious, adaptable, and innovative minds. I'm thrilled to be a part of this generation witnessing such positive changes in the way we learn and are evaluated. Bring it on, new Gaokao – I'm ready for the challenge!篇5The Big Red BallIt was a sunny day and I was playing outside with my best friend Tommy. We were kicking a big red ball back and forth to each other in my backyard. The ball was so big and bright, it was hard to miss!"Nice kick!" I yelled as Tommy booted the ball high into the air. I ran back to try to head it, but it went over the fence into Mr. Wilson's yard next door."Aw man, not again," I said. We had already lost a few balls over there this summer. Mr. Wilson was an old grumpy man who yelled at us anytime one of our toys went into his yard."Don't worry, I'll get it," Tommy said bravely. He hopped the fence and snuck into Mr. Wilson's backyard. I watched nervously from my side of the fence. A minute later, Tommy came running back with the big red ball under his arm."Got it!" he said proudly, handing it back to me. "Mr. Wilson wasn't even out there."We kept playing for a little while longer until my mom called me in for lunch. As I was heading inside, I saw Mr. Wilson come out and start yelling and shaking his fist at us. I guess he had seen Tommy after all. We just ignored him and went in to eat. After lunch, we went back outside to play some more. But the big red ball was gone! We looked all over my yard but couldn't find it anywhere."Mr. Wilson must have taken it when we went inside," Tommy said. "That thief!"I got mad thinking about Mr. Wilson stealing our ball just because it had gone into his yard one time. We had promised to be more careful, but now he had gone and taken it anyways. That ball was my favorite!Tommy and I hopped Mr. Wilson's fence again, determined to get our ball back. We snuck around the back of his house and finally found the big red ball sitting in his garage. Just as we were grabbing it, we heard Mr. Wilson's voice behind us."Just what do you kids think you're doing?" he shouted angrily. We turned around slowly. Mr. Wilson was standing there glaring at us, with his arms crossed."That's my ball, you took it!" I shouted back. I could feel myself starting to get upset."It was in my yard, so it's mine now," Mr. Wilson said sternly. "You kids can't go leaving your things all over the place."Tears started welling up in my eyes. "But we came to get it, like we always do! That's not fair!"Mr. Wilson just shook his head. "Maybe this will teach you a lesson about being more responsible."I didn't know what to say. I had the strongest feeling that Mr. Wilson was being unreasonable and mean, but he was the adult. Were we the ones who had messed up here?Just then, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. There was an old, flat ball sitting in the corner of Mr. Wilson's garage. It looked like it had been there for years, maybe even decades."What's that?" I asked, pointing to the old ball.Mr. Wilson turned and looked where I was pointing. "Oh that? That's my ball from when I was a kid. Hasn't been used in ages."Suddenly, an idea sparked inside me. "If that's your old ball, how would you feel if somebody had taken it from you back then? Would that have been fair?"Mr. Wilson stopped for a moment, thinking about what I had said. His scowl slowly started to turn into a thoughtful expression."Well...I suppose not. I imagine I would've been pretty upset if that had happened.""Exactly!" I said, feeling a boost of confidence. "That ball is the same to me as that one was to you when you were a kid. It doesn't seem fair to take something away from me just because it accidentally went into your yard one time."Mr. Wilson looked at me, then at Tommy, and finally down at the big red ball in his garage. After what felt like an eternity, he finally let out a long sigh."You know what, you kids are right. Here, take your ball back.I probably overreacted a bit there."He bent down and rolled the ball towards us. Tommy and I couldn't believe it - we had actually reasoned with Mr. Wilson and gotten through to him!"Thanks Mr. Wilson!" I said, feeling an enormous wave of relief and gratitude. "We'll be sure to be more careful from now on.""You'd better be," Mr. Wilson replied with a wink. "But sure, you kids just go have fun."Tommy and I grabbed the ball and hurried back towards my yard, grinning from ear to ear. From that day on, the ball neverwent into Mr. Wilson's yard again. And you know what? He started seeming just a little bit less grumpy too.篇6My Thoughts on the New Gaokao English ExamHi there! My name is Lily and I'm 10 years old. I just took the new English exam that is part of the Gaokao university entrance exams in China this year. Even though I'm just a kid in elementary school, I have some big thoughts and opinions about this test that I want to share!First of all, I was really nervous going into the exam. My mom and dad have been talking about how important the Gaokao is for getting into a good university ever since I was really little. They always tell me I need to study hard so I can ace the tests when I'm older. With all that pressure, I was feeling pretty stressed! But then I reminded myself that for now, I'm just a fifth grader. I've been studying English for a few years at school, but I'm still just at a basic level. The test wasn't crazy hard for kids my age. Phew! I was able to relax a little bit. From what I could tell, the reading passages on the test seemed a lot shorter and easier than the ones my older siblings have to practice. The topics were pretty interesting too - things like animals, travel, and sports that kids enjoy learning about. The passages didn't have too many big vocabulary words that I couldn't understand. As for the writing section, we had to write just a short paragraph giving our opinion on something. That's manageable for a 10-year-old, right? We've practiced paragraph writing a bunch in my English classes already. No essays required at this level! The listening comprehension wasn't too bad either. The recordings were clearly spoken without too much background noise. Although some of the accents sounded a little funny to my Chinese ear! But I've been trained to listen to all the different ways English speakers around the world talk.My favorite part was the section where we had to look at pictures and put together little stories about what was happening. Yay, using my imagination! That's way more fun than just reading a boring passage over and over.Overall, I could tell the test was designed to match what students at different age levels can reasonably understand andexpress in English so far. It let me show what I've learned in a not-too-stressful way. That's good because English is definitely not my strongest subject yet.But I know that's what students have to master if they want to get into a top university. My siblings have been prepping for years already. No wonder they complain about the intense pressure all the time! From my perspective as a little kid, those university entrance exams look overwhelming. How can anyone's brain handle that much complex reading, writing, listening and speaking in English? It's a completely different language and way of thinking compared to our native Chinese! Students must have to study and practice for countless hours to develop that level of English proficiency. I give them all so much credit.I'm definitely not looking forward to dealing with that intense Gaokao preparation in a few more years. Just thinking about it makes my head spin! All I want to do is go outside and play games with my friends. Worrying about high-stakes testing can wait for a little while longer, thank you very much. But at the same time, I know English is an important world language that can open up awesome opportunities for traveling, learning about other cultures, and getting cool jobs one day. Soeven though the Gaokao seems scary now, I'll keep working hard at my English skills bit by bit. Hopefully by high school I'll be ready to rock that exam! For this year though, I was just happy to complete the English section designed for elementary school kids like myself. It let me show what I've learned so far in a relatively fun and low-pressure way. Bring on the puppies, picture prompts and simple stories - this 10-year-old is ready! Maybe in a few years I'll understand what all the fuss over the Gaokao English exam is about. But not yet! Those are my thoughts for now. Next up, time for lunch and recess to rest my hard-working brain! Thanks for reading my perspective.。

He decided to take me on a trip to the Wild West.We took a plane to Albuquerque, a big city in the state of New Mexico. We reached Albuquerque in the late afternoon. Uncle Paul, my dad’s friend, picked us up from the airport and drove us up to his farm in Pecos. His wife Tina cooked us a delicious dinner and we got to know his sons Ryan and Kyle. My dad and I spent the night in the guestroom of the farm house listening to the frogs and water rolling down the river nearby. Very early in the morning, Uncle Paul woke us up to have breakfast. "The day starts at dawn on my farm," he said. After breakfast, I went to help Aunt Tina feed the chickens, while my dad went with Uncle Paul to take the sheep out to graze(吃草). I was impressed to see my dad and Uncle Paul riding horses. They looked really cool.In the afternoon, I asked Uncle Paul if I could take a horse ride, and he said yes, as long as my dad went with me. I wasn’t going to take a horse ride by myself anyway. So, my dad and I put on our new cowboy hats, got on our horses, and headed slowly towards the mountains. "Don’t be late for supper," Uncle Paul cried, "and keep to the track so that you don’t get lost!" "OK! " my dad cried back. After a while Uncle Paul and his farm house were out of sight. 1Oh my goodness, the 2020 high school entrance exam English essay was so difficult! But I'm gonna give it my best shot and write a follow-up story for it.So, after the high school entrance exam, I met up with my friends at the park to celebrate the end of the exam. We were all so relieved that it was finally over and we could relax for a bit.We decided to have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful weather. We brought sandwiches, fruit, and juice to share with each other. We laughed and talked about how we thought we did on the exam. Then, out of nowhere, a group of birds flew down and stole our food! We were shocked and started chasing after them, trying to get our snacks back. It was like a scene from a movie, with us running around and shouting at the birds. After a few minutes of chaos, we finally managed to retrieve our food and sat back down to finish our picnic. We couldn't stop laughing at the ridiculousness of the situation. As the sun began to set, we all lay down on the grass, looking up at the sky. We talked about our hopes and dreams for the future and promised to stay friends no matter what high school we ended up in.It was a perfect end to a stressful day, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate with my friends. I know that no matter what happens, we'll always have each other's backs. And who knows, maybe those cheeky birds were just trying to teach us a lesson about sharing and teamwork.篇2Oh wow, high school entrance exam in 2020! That's like, sooooo important and stuff. So basically, after the exam, we were all like super relieved and happy, right? But then we had to wait for the results to come out, which was like the worst part ever.I remember when the results finally came out, and we were all like freaking out and stuff. Some of my friends did really well and got into their dream schools, while others were a bitdisappointed. But you know what? It's all good because we're all in this together, right? We'll support each other no matter what.So after we got our results, we had to start thinking about our future and stuff. Like, what do we wanna do with our lives? It's like such a big decision to make at such a young age, but we'll figure it out eventually. We have our whole lives ahead of us!And you know what's really cool? No matter what happens, we'll always have each other. We'll always be there to cheer each other on, to pick each other up when we're feeling down, and to celebrate all the amazing things we'll do in the future. So yeah, high school entrance exam in 2020 was a big deal, but we're ready for whatever comes next. Bring it on, world! We're gonna rock it!篇3Oh wow, the 2020 Gaokao English exam was so intense! The reading comprehension part was super hard, but I did my best to answer all the questions. After the exam, I felt so relieved and proud of myself for finishing it.After the exam, I went home and relaxed for a bit. Then I decided to start writing the continuation of the English essay question from the Gaokao. The topic was about the importance of learning a second language, so here is my response:Learning a second language is so important because it can open up so many opportunities for us. When we can speak another language, we can communicate with people from different countries and cultures. This can help us make new friends and learn about different ways of life.In addition, knowing a second language can also help us in our future careers. Many companies are looking for employees who can speak more than one language because they can work with clients and partners from around the world. This can give us a competitive edge in the job market.Overall, learning a second language is not just about studying words and grammar. It's about expanding our horizons, connecting with others, and preparing for a bright future. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to learn English, and I will continue to work hard to improve my language skills. I can't wait to see where this journey will take me!篇4Oh my goodness! I can't believe I'm finally done with the 2020 Gaokao English exam! It was so nerve-wracking but I think I did pretty well. Now I can relax and share with you guys what I wrote for the last part of the exam - the essay prompt "2020 Gaokao English Exam Reading Comprehension Follow-up."In the reading comprehension section, we had a passage about the importance of learning a second language and how it can benefit you in your future career and personal life. The follow-up essay prompt asked us to share our thoughts on the topic and discuss our own experiences with learning a second language.I started off by talking about how learning English has opened up so many opportunities for me. I mentioned how it helped me connect with people from different countries, understand foreign movies and songs, and even improve my grades in school. I also shared a funny story about how I once confused "embarrassed" with "embarrassing" and ended up saying something totally embarrassing in front of my English teacher!Next, I discussed the challenges of learning a second language, like struggling with pronunciation and grammar rules. But I emphasized that with hard work and dedication, anyone can become fluent in a foreign language. In the conclusion, I talked about how learning a second language is not just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar, but also about embracing a new culture and way of thinking. I encouraged everyone to step out of their comfort zone and start learning a new language today.Overall, I had a lot of fun writing this essay and reflecting on my own language learning journey. I can't wait to see how well I did on the exam and I'm excited to continue improving my English skills in the future!篇5Oh, hi everyone! So, I recently read this really cool essay about the 2020 high school English exam and I thought I could totally write a follow-up to it. The essay was all about how the exam was really tough but also kind of fun at the same time. So, here's my take on it:So, after the students finished the exam, they all felt a mix of relief and nervousness. They were relieved that it was finally over, but also nervous about how they did. Some students were confident that they did well, while others weren't so sure.As they waited for the results, they kept replaying the exam in their heads. They remembered the tough reading passages, the tricky grammar questions, and the challenging essay topic. But they also remembered the moments when they felt like they knew the answer or when they surprised themselves with their writing skills. Finally, the day of the results arrived. Some students were over the moon when they saw their scores, while others were disappointed. But no matter what the result was, they all knew that they had worked hard and tried their best.In the end, the students realized that the exam was just one part of their high school experience. It was a challenge, for sure, but it also taught them a lot about perseverance, resilience, and the power of determination. And that's my follow-up to the 2020 high school English exam essay. I hope you liked it! Let me know what you think in the comments below. Bye for now!篇6Oh my gosh! I can't believe I just finished my 2020 Gaokao English exam! It was so intense, but I think I did pretty well. Now,it's time to write the continuation of the English essay. Here we go!After the Gaokao English exam, I felt a mix of emotions - relief, excitement, and a little bit of anxiety. I couldn't wait to find out my results, but I also couldn't help but worry if I had answered all the questions correctly. The exam was definitely challenging, but I tried my best to stay calm and focused throughout the entire test.As I walked out of the exam hall, I saw my friends waiting for me. We high-fived each other and talked about how we thought we did on the exam. Some of us felt confident, while others were a bit unsure. But we all agreed that we gave it our best shot, and that's all that mattered. In the days leading up to the release of the exam results, I couldn't help but think about all the hard work and preparation I had put into studying for the Gaokao. I spent countless hours poring over English textbooks, practicing writing essays, and memorizing vocabulary words. And now, it was finally time to see if all that hard work had paid off. When the results finally came out, I felt a mix of nerves and excitement. I scanned the list of names, looking for mine, and when I finally found it, I couldn't believe my eyes. I had done it! Ihad achieved a great score on the Gaokao English exam! I jumped for joy and hugged my friends, feeling grateful and proud of all the effort I had put in.Overall, the Gaokao English exam was a challenging but rewarding experience. It pushed me to work harder and strive for excellence, and in the end, it paid off. I feel confident in my abilities and excited for what the future holds. Bring it on, world - I'm ready for whatever comes my way!。

A small door had appeared in the corner of my room, emitting a warm, golden glow. Curiosity got the better of me, and I tiptoed towards it, my heart pounding with excitement.Peering through the doorway, I found myself transported to the most incredible treehouse I had ever seen. It was perched atop a massive oak tree, with multiple levels and rooms branching off in every direction. Intricate carvings adorned the wooden walls, and cozy nooks beckoned me to explore further. As I stepped inside, the door mysteriously vanished behind me. I couldn't believe my eyes! This treehouse was like something out of a dream.Suddenly, a friendly voice startled me. "Welcome, young adventurer! We've been expecting you."I whirled around to find a peculiar-looking creature standing before me. It resembled a cross between a squirrel and a tiny human, with a bushy tail and twinkling eyes."Who... what are you?" I stammered, equal parts amazed and terrified. The creature chuckled. "I am a Treeling, a guardian of this enchanted treehouse. My name is Nutkin, and I'll be your guide on篇2Title: An Unforgettable AdventureOnce upon a time, on a sunny summer day, my friends and I decided to go on a thrilling adventure. We were excited and full of energy as we prepared for our journey. We packed our backpacks with sandwiches, water bottles, and of course, our trusty map.Our destination was a mysterious island called Treasure Cove. Legend had it that the island was home to a hidden treasure. We couldn't resist the thought of discovering shiny gold coins and sparkling jewels. So, with our hearts filled with courage, we set sail on our little wooden boat.As we sailed further into the deep blue sea, the waves splashed against our boat, creating a sense of danger and excitement. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew, causing our map to fly out of our hands and into the water. Panic filled our faces as we watched it float away. Our treasure hunt seemed doomed from the start. But we didn't give up. Determined to find the treasure, we used our memory to recall the landmarks on the map. We relied on the sun, the stars, and our instincts to guide us towards the island. It wasn't easy, but we knew that teamwork and perseverance would lead us to success. After what felt like an eternity, we spotted a small island in the distance. "Treasure Cove!" we shouted with joy. We rowed our boat with all our might, eager to explore every inch of the island. As we arrived, we were greeted by a lush green forest and a beautiful waterfall. We ventured deeper into the forest, following a trail of clues left by previous treasure hunters. The sunbeams filtered through the thick canopy, creating a magical atmosphere. The chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves accompanied us along the way.Suddenly, we stumbled upon a hidden cave entrance. Heart pounding, we cautiously entered the darkness. Our flashlights illuminated the walls covered in ancient symbols. It felt like stepping into a different world. As we ventured further, we discovered a glittering treasure chest. With trembling hands, we opened the chest, and to our amazement, it was filled with not only gold and jewels but also handwritten letters. Curiosity overwhelmed us as we started reading the letters. They were written by the island's previous visitors, sharing their stories and memories. We realized that the true treasure of Treasure Cove was not the material wealth, but the experiences and connections we made along the way. The island had brought people from all walks of life together, leaving a piece of their hearts behind. As we left the island, we felt a mix of happiness and nostalgia. We had learned the importance of friendship, perseverance, and the joy of discovery. Our adventure had taught us that treasurescome in many forms, and the memories we created would stay with us forever.Sailing back home, we knew that our hearts were filled with a treasure trove of stories to share with our families and friends. Our unforgettable adventure in Treasure Cove had changed us in ways we couldn't imagine. So, my dear friends, always remember that life is an adventure waiting to be explored. Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, face challenges, and create memories. Who knows, you might just discover a treasure that money can't buy!Word Count: 520篇3Title: My Unforgettable Adventure in the Secret ForestIt was a bright and sunny day, and I couldn't wait to explore the mysterious forest near our village. Ever since my grandpa told me about the secret forest, I had been dreaming of going there and discovering its wonders.I packed a small bag with some snacks, a water bottle, and a notebook to write down my adventures. As I stepped out of ourlittle hut, I waved goodbye to my parents and promised to be back before sunset. The path to the forest was a winding one, surrounded by tall trees and bushes. I could hear the chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves as a gentle breeze blew through the trees. It was as if nature was welcoming me into its embrace. After walking for about an hour, I finally reached the entrance of the secret forest. The trees were taller and denser here, and the sunlight filtered through the canopy, casting a mystical glow on the forest floor. As I ventured deeper into the forest, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and excitement. Every step I took revealed something new and fascinating. The air was filled with the scent of wildflowers and the earthy aroma of decaying leaves.I stopped to admire a vibrant butterfly dancing from flower to flower, its delicate wings fluttering gracefully. In the distance, I could hear the gentle gurgling of a stream, and I decided to follow the sound. As I approached the stream, I was greeted by a breathtaking sight. The water was crystal clear, and small fish darted back and forth, their scales glistening in the sunlight. I sat down on anearby rock and dipped my feet in the cool water, savoring the peaceful moment.Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes caught my attention. I froze, my heart pounding with anticipation. Could it be a wild animal? I held my breath as a fluffy squirrel emerged, its bushy tail twitching playfully. It scampered across the forest floor, gathering acorns and disappearing back into the foliage. As I continued my exploration, I came across a fallen log covered in soft moss. Curiously, I lifted a portion of the moss and gasped in delight. Underneath, there was a tiny world of mushrooms, each one unique in shape and color. I carefully replaced the moss, not wanting to disturb this miniature ecosystem. The hours passed quickly as I wandered through the enchanting forest, discovering new wonders at every turn. I stumbled upon a beautiful clearing where wildflowers bloomed in vibrant hues, and a family of deer grazed peacefully. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the forest, I reluctantly turned back towards the path that would lead me home. My heart was filled with joy and gratitude for the remarkable adventure I had experienced in the secret forest. On my way back, I stopped to rest under a towering oak tree. As I leaned against its sturdy trunk, I realized that this was more than just a forest – it was a living, breathing world, teeming with life and secrets waiting to be discovered.I couldn't wait to share my tales with my grandpa and friends, and I knew that this wouldn't be my last visit to the secret forest. It had become a part of me, a magical place where I could escape and connect with nature in a way I had never imagined. As the stars began to twinkle in the night sky, I made a silent promise to protect and cherish this wondrous place, for it was a treasure beyond compare.篇4The Big RaceThe sun was shining brightly on the day of the big race. All the woodland creatures were getting ready to compete. I was so excited! This was my first time entering the annual Forest 500 Race. My friends Freddy the fox, Sammy the squirrel, and Parker the porcupine were racing too."Good luck guys!" I cheered as we lined up at the starting line. Freddy gave me a wink."You're going down, rabbit!"I just smiled back. Freddy was always talking a big game, but I was pretty fast myself. The race coordinator, Mr. Owl, flapped his wings to get everyone's attention."Racers, take your marks!" he hooted. "On your mark, get set, go!"And we were off! I shot out from the starting line, my big feet carrying me swiftly over the dirt path. Sammy was right on my tail, scampering as fast as his little legs could go. Parker was bumping along behind us, his quills sticking straight up with determination. The path wound its way through the shady forest, under tangles of vines and over bubbling creeks. My heart was thumping from the exertion. I could feel Freddy closing in on my left. That sneaky fox was light and agile.Suddenly, there was a loud snap up ahead. A massive tree trunk had fallen, blocking the path! I skidded to a stop just in time. Behind me I could hear squeals and thuds as the other racers ran into each other. Thinking quickly, I leapt over the trunk, using my powerful legs to sail over the obstacle."Whoa, nice jump!" Freddy called out. He and the others were struggling to get over the trunk.Taking advantage of my lead, I bounded down the path as fast as I could go. The trees whipped past in a green blur. Up ahead I could see the stream where we had to cross using the fallen log bridge.I approached the log bridge at full speed and launched myself into the air. But the log was more slippery than I expected! My feet slipped on the wet bark and I did a full body spin before crashing into the cold water."Ahhh!" I sputtered, surfacing from the stream. The other racers were catching up fast.No time to waste! I scrambled up the muddy bank, emerald droplets flying everywhere. My sopping wet fur weighed me down, but I couldn't let that stop me. The finish line was just ahead! With all my might, I sprinted the final stretch down the path. My energy was fading, but the roars of the cheering spectators filling the clearing gave me that extra boost I needed. Putting on one final burst of speed, I flung myself across the finish line and collapsed in a panting heap.I had won! The other racers trickled in after me, exhausted but proud. Freddy gave me a grudging high-five with his paw."Nice race, rabbit. You really showed your stuff out there."Mr. Owl proudly draped the winner's medal around my neck as the crowd cheered wildly. It was the most amazing feeling. All those weeks of training had really paid off.At the award ceremony picnic afterwards, I celebrated with my friends over dandelion salads and fresh blueberries. Sammy was already talking about next year's race."Just you wait, I'm going to train every single day! The 500 championship is as good as mine."I just smiled and took another bite of my salad. I couldn't wait for next year's race, but for now, I was just going to enjoy being a champion. The end.篇5Title: The Adventures of Fluffy the Brave CatMy name is Timmy, and I want to tell you about the most exciting thing that happened to me last summer. It all startedwhen my family and I went on a camping trip to the mountains. We packed our tent, sleeping bags, and lots of yummy snacks like granola bars and trail mix.On the first day, we hiked through the woods and saw so many cool things! There were tall trees, colorful wildflowers, and even a little stream where we stopped to splash our feet. After a few hours, we found the perfect spot to set up our campsite, right next to a sparkling lake.As we were putting up the tent, I noticed a furry little creature scurrying around nearby. It was a tiny kitten, all alone and looking scared. "Mom, Dad, can we keep it?" I asked excitedly. They said we could give it some food and water, but we couldn't take it home with us.The kitten gobbled up the tuna and milk we gave it and seemed to warm up to us quickly. I named her Fluffy because of her soft, fluffy gray fur. She was the cutest thing ever! That night, as we roasted marshmallows by the campfire, Fluffy cuddled up next to me, purring softly. I wished we could keep her forever, but I knew she belonged in the wild. The next morning, we packed up our camp and headed back home. Fluffy followed us for a little while, but eventually, sheturned and scampered back into the woods. I was sad to see her go, but I knew she'd be okay.A few weeks later, we went back to the same campsite for another weekend trip. As soon as we arrived, I heard a familiar "meow" coming from the bushes. It was Fluffy! She recognized us and came running over, rubbing against our legs and letting out happy little purrs. We spent the whole weekend playing with Fluffy and exploring the woods together. She was so brave, chasing butterflies and squirrels without a care in the world. At night, she cuddled up in my sleeping bag, keeping me warm and safe.On our last day, as we were packing up to leave, Fluffy seemed restless. She kept running back and forth between us and the woods, meowing loudly. It was almost like she was trying to tell us something.Suddenly, we heard a loud growling noise coming from the bushes. A huge bear emerged, sniffing the air and looking for food. Fluffy stood her ground, arching her back and hissing at the bear. She was so tiny compared to the massive bear, but she wasn't afraid at all!The bear roared and swiped its paw at Fluffy, but she was too quick. She darted around the bear, distracting it and leading it away from our campsite. My parents and I watched in amazement as this little cat took on a giant bear, protecting us with her bravery. After a tense standoff, the bear finally gave up and lumbered back into the woods. Fluffy came trotting back to us, looking triumphant. We all cheered and hugged her, so grateful for her courage. From that day on, Fluffy became our camping buddy. Whenever we went on a trip to the mountains, she was there to greet us, ready for more adventures. She was the bravest, most loyal cat I've ever known, and I'll never forget the time she saved us from the bear.Fluffy taught me that even the smallest creatures can have huge hearts and incredible courage. She showed me that true bravery isn't about being big and strong, but about standing up for what's right, no matter how scary things might seem.Whenever I feel afraid or overwhelmed, I think of Fluffy and her fearlessness in the face of danger. She reminds me to be brave, to stand tall, and to always protect the ones I love. Fluffymay have been a tiny cat, but she had the heart of a lion, and I'll forever be grateful for her friendship and her bravery.篇6It was a sunny Saturday morning and I was sooo excited! Today was the big Science Fair at my school. For weeks, I had been working really hard on my project about how plants grow. I had planted all kinds of seeds in different soils and kept careful notes on what happened. Some grew tall and green, while others were short and sickly. I couldn't wait to show off my experiment! When we got to the school gym, there were long tables set up everywhere with other kids' projects on display. There were volcanoes, robots, models of the solar system, and all sorts of cool stuff. My best friend Michael had built a working hovercraft out of an old leaf blower! After we dropped off our projects, Michael and I went to check out the other exhibits. The first one we saw was by Suzie Henderson from Mrs. Roberts' class. She had trained her dog Rufus to pull a little wagon and respond to different commands. When she said "Sit!", Rufus instantly planted his furry bottom on the ground. Then she showed how he could "Stay" in one spot for minutes at a time. Rufus was a good boy and Suzie's project was really neat.Next we came across Billy Harmon's exhibit, which demonstrated something called "air pressure." He had a sharp needle poking through a balloon, but the balloon didn't pop! Instead, the air was getting squished inside and pushing against the sides to block the needle hole. Mind = blown!Down the aisle, we ran into my friend Emma who was waiting by her project titled "Which Soap Cleans Best?" She had taken six glass plates and smeared them with a mixture of ketchup, mud, grease, and other gross stuff. Then she tried cleaning each plate with a different type of soap to see which one worked the best at cutting through the grime. Her conclusionwas that dishwashing liquid beat out all the other soaps, even the expensive ones!Michael and I were having a blast checking out everybody's cool experiments. That's when we stumbled upon a project that looked.....familiar. It was an exact replica of my plant growing setup! The display board had the same diagrams and everything.I studied the name card and felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. It was MY project, but someone else's name was on it - Kevin Thompson!"Hey, that's MY experiment!" I shouted angrily. Kevin turned around with a smug look on his face."Nuh uh, I did this one all by myself. You must have copied me," he said with a nasty sneer."No way, I've been working on this for a month! You stole my idea and my results, you cheater!" I could feel tears welling up in my eyes from the unfairness of it all.Just then, the head judge Mrs. Franklin came over to ask what the commotion was about. I started to explain to her what Kevin had done, but he quickly interrupted me."Don't listen to him, ma'am. This project is 100% my own work. Carson is just a sore loser and a liar," Kevin said in his most sincere voice.Mrs. Franklin looked back and forth between us with a stern expression. "Boys, you both seem to be claiming this is your own project. I'm afraid I'll need to see your documentation and evidence to determine which one of you is telling the truth."My heart sank...Kevin had stolen all my notes and records when he took my project! I had nothing to show as proof. As I opened my mouth to try to explain, Michael jumped in."Mrs. Franklin, I was with Carson this whole time while he worked on his plant experiment. I can vouch that it was all hisown effort and ideas. Kevin definitely took credit for something he didn't do," Michael said firmly.。
