该环节是本课所有教学环节的延续，通过写的练习，使学生逐步学会使用文段中的语言素材，活用固定的表达方法来表达自己的思想，对从课文中所获取的信息进行自己独特的整合，达到了形成和提高写作能力与技巧的目的。
五、回归整体，渗透写法。

在教师的指导下，四个小组的报告形式多样，生动活泼。有两人表演问候方式，让其余同学猜出国家名；有小组自己制作的PowerPoint课件介绍各国的不同的节日；还有English idioms的中文翻译比赛等。使得同学们对学习外国文化充满了热情，自然导入了新课主题。
本设计采用情景教学法，学生利用事先做好的道具及简洁的节日服装，把游戏表演出来，在此过程中学生亲身体验了西方人的节日。既激发了学生学习的主动性，活跃了课堂气氛，又启发了学生的思维，培养了学生学习英语的兴趣，增强了学生对语言的理解。
本设计也采用了探究合作的学习策略，教育心理学认为：合作是指集体中不同的个体为了共同的目标而协同活动。促使某种既有利于自己，又有利于他人的结果得以实现的过程。学生们在课前准备的过程中，充分利用网络寻找自己所需要的信息，并对信息进行了有效的整合，在此过程中，学生的自主探究能力得到培养。在表演环节的准备中，学生们也学会了分工合作。

学生如何运用阅读策略，促进自主学习。
教学难点：
怎样以文化的教学为依托，全面训练学生的听、说、读、写能力。

这堂课是Reading的第一课时，主要任务是对文章进行理解和扩展，为下面的文化各种差异学习做好准备。
从课文内容来看，涉及到节日、送礼、婚礼、身体语言、颜色及各地风俗习惯等方面。
本篇文本的阅读理解并不困难，但有一定信息量要梳理。
教学重点一是应该完成文本基础阅读，同时进行适当扩展，让学生了解更多的文化差异的知识，由此形成初步的文化差异意识,对不同文化的认同和尊重。
同时作为一堂网络课，应培养学生网络运用能力。
2．学生分析：高二学生有基本的语言能力和基本的世界观和价值观。
对文化差异的了解还教模糊。
因此课文的理解和把握有助于拓展学生的视野，引发他们的思考。
同时多种阅读形式有助于提高他们的阅读技能。
他们较熟悉网络，所以可以引导他们到网络上寻找需要的信息。

（2）归纳准确的动词来处理文化差异
承上启下，告诉学生故事的结局。让学生归纳准确的调查来处理文化差异，并选择一个动词造句用于最后一段。
（3）归纳了解文化意识到重要性。
（4）写最后一段。
As far as I’m concerned,写三到四句话结尾，让学生展示最后一段，并点评。
6.奖励表现最佳组
观察中国学生是否直接拆礼物。其实现在中国人和西方人一样，也会当面拆礼物，升华主题“文化大同”现象。

利用大组竞赛的形式将课文的内容总结为wedding customs, body language和festivals.课堂实践中学生踊跃。然后作为小组竞赛的总结，提问学生是否直接将课文细节内容直接放于当中段落。答案是否定的。最后以大组为单位，学生根据wedding, body language和festival为细节，分别写一句概括句（general sentence）,后则可以加上for example的细节，这正是p35阅读策略的体现。最后引出写主题句的重要性。

Abstract: Language is the carrier of culture. Therefore, language teaching is, in some ways, the teaching of culture. There are obvious differences between Chinese and Western Culture. In the teaching of English, great importance should be attached to those differences so that people can express themselves properly during verbal intercourse.

Teaching Procedure:
Step 1Introductions: the Cultural differences of English and
Chinese.
Call a student to read a story.
Activities: One student read the story, the others listen to the story.
Step 2 Compliments:
Explain that they have different answers for the same question when people live in different cultural to the students.
Activities: Do the exercises. Work in pair, then make up a dialogue.
Step 3 color: The meanings of the Cultural differences of English and Chinese.
Black sheep, white elephant black sugar and so on.
Activities: Read and voice
Step 4 Greetings:
Ask two students to answer the question’
Hi/hello/good morning/good afternoon/good evening.
Activities: encourage the student to answer the question and summarize the greetings.
Step 5 Taboos: a prejudice (especially in Polynesia and other South Pacific islands) that prohibits the use or mention of something because of its sacred nature

Activities: Do some exercises from the book and the paper
Step 7 Summary
Language is the carrier of culture. Therefore, language teaching is, in some ways, the teaching of culture. There are obvious differences between Chinese and Western Culture. In the teaching of English, great importance should be attached to those differences so that people can express themselves properly during verbal intercourse.
Activities: listen to important point carefully from the speech of teacher.
