When we think of van Gogh, we see him as a strange, mad genius. Who somehow, through sheer instinct, found a way of pouring out the blaze of his inner feeling onto canvas.
Vincent van Gogh was born in the 30 march,1853,near the Brabant, he is a son of a minister.
His father was a protestant pastor. His mother has the talent for painting. To his future life, his parents played important roles.
1885年 The Potato Eaters
In march of 1886,he came to Paris.The paintings of paris made him change his painting style. 《Tang gouy》《Red poppy》 Vincent wanted everyone to understand his art, he wanted it, he said,” To say something consoling, like music”

He began his school life at 8.But after one year, he came back home to learn by himself. He was highly interested in books.
At 9 years old,he painted this picture.
He invited Gaugin to live with him,Gaugin accepted.Just then,Van gogh created 《Sunflower》.

In 1889,Van gogh's brother told him two bad news--his nephew was ill and his brother resigned.Then,his post production was despair.

He said: Since my illness, the feeling of longliness takes hold of me in the fields in such a fearsome way that I hesitate to go out.

• He started sketching in Borinage coal mines where he simply wanted to record his first impression but his anatomy was all wrong, his proportions were grotesque and his drawing was so outlandish as to be funny. He wanted to copy an old woman carrying hot water on a wintry street. But he could not manage it.

Theodorus van Gogh, a preacher in the Dutch Reformed Church, and Anna Cornelia Carbentus, daughter of a bookseller, marry in 1851. Their son Vincent Willem van Gogh, the second of six children, is born on March 30, 1853, in Zundert, a village in Brabant, in the south of the Netherlands. Four years later, in 1857, Vincent's favorite brother, Theodorus (Theo), is born. Vincent begins his education at the village school in 1861, and subsequently attends two boarding schools. He excels in languages, studying French, English, and German. In March 1868, in the middle of the academic year, he abruptly leaves school and returns to Zundert. He does not resume his formal education.
