昂立外语暑假英语培训：/sjb/英语加减乘除运算的表示方法1. 加法：加法运算通常用and, plus, add 等表示。
如：Seven and [plus] eight is [are, make(s)] fifteen. 7加8等于15。
If you add ten to eight, you get eighteen. 10加8等于18。
2. 减法：减法运算通常用minus, from, take (away) (from) 等表示。
如：Eight minus five is [leaves] three. 8减5等于3。
4 from 20 leaves 16. 20减4余16。
Ten take away four is [leaves] six. 10减去4得6。
If you take five from twelve, you’re left with seven. 12减去5得7。
If you take four away from ten, that leaves six. 10减去4得6。
3. 乘法：乘法运算通常用times, multiplied by, twice 等表示。
如：Five times three is [equals] fifteen. 5乘以3等于15。
Five multiplied by two equals ten. 5乘以2等于10。
What is twice two? 2乘2是多少?4. 除法：除法运算通常用divided by, into 等表示。
如：Twelve divided by four is [makes] three. 12除以4等于3。
Four into twelve is [makes] three. 12除以4等于3。

英语中加减乘除
针对加减乘除四则运算，英语上的表达分别如下：
1.加法
在英语中，“加”用 plus 表示，也可以直接用 and 表示；
“等于”往往可以直接使用 is或者 equal(s) 表示，另外还可以使用 make(s) 表示；
例如：“7+8=15”可以表示为"Seven and/plus eight makes fifteen."
2.减法
在英语中，“减”用 minus 表示；
“等于”往往可以直接使用 is或者 equals 表示，另外还可以使用 leaves 表示；
例如：“15-7=8”可以表示为"Fifteen minus seven leaves eight."
3.乘法
在英语中，“乘”用 times 表示；
“等于”直接使用 is或者 equal(s) 表示就可以了；
例如：“5×2=10”可以表示为"Five times two is/equals ten."
4.除法
在英语中，除法的表示一般使用 divided by，译为“除
以”；
“等于”直接使用 is或者 equals 表示就可以了；
例如：“10÷5=2”可以表示为"Ten divided by five is/equals two."。
加减乘除英语表达方式
减乘除用英语翻译过来分别是plus、subtract、multiply、divide。
1、plus，其英式读法是[plʌs]；美式读法是[plʌs]。
作介词意思是加；加上。
作形容词意思是正的；超过的。
作名词意思有正数；加号；优势。
作连词意思是并且。
如：Two plus five is seven. 二加五等于七。
2、subtract，其英式读法是[səb'trækt]；美式读法是[səb'trækt]。
作及物动词意思是减去。
作不及物动词意思是减少。
如：If you subtract 2 from 8, you get 6. 8减去2是6。
3、multiply其英式读法是['mʌltɪplaɪ]；美式读法是['mʌltɪplaɪ]。
作及物动词意思有乘；增加。
作不及物动词意思有做乘法；繁衍。
作副词意思有多样地；多重地。
如：If you multiply four by five, the answer is twenty. 四乘以五，答案是二十。
4、divide其英式读法是[dɪ'vaɪd]；美式读法是[dɪ'vaɪd]。
作及物动词意思有划分；隔开；分割；[数]除。
作不及物动词意思有分裂；分开。
作名词意思有分水岭；分歧；分。
如：Six divided by two is three. 六除以二得三。
加减乘除英语的表示方法
加减乘除应该说是运算的基本符号，那么这些符号在英语里面是怎么表示的呢？下面我们一起来看看！
1. “加”用plus，and或add表示；“等于”用is，make，equal等词表示。
2+3=? 可表示为： How much is two plus three?
2+3=5
Two plus three is five．
Two and three is equal to five．
Two and three make five．
Two added to three equals five．
If we add two to/and three, we get five．

2. “减”用 minus或 take from表示
10－6＝? How much is ten minus six?
10-6=4
Ten minus six is four．
Take six from ten and the remainder is four.
Six (taken) from ten is four．
十减去六等于四
3. “乘”用time（动词）或multiply表示
3X4＝? How much is three times four?
3X4=12
Three times four is/are twelve．
Multiply three by four，we get twelve．
Three multiplied by four makes twelve．
三乘以四等于十二
4. “除”用divide的过去分词形式表示
16÷4=? How much is s ixteen divided by four?
16÷4＝4
Sixteen divided by four is four．
Sixteen divided by four equals/gives/makes four．
十六除以四等于四。
五、分数表示法
1. 分数是由基数词和序数词一起来表示的。
基数词作分子，序数词作分母，除了分子是“1”以外，其它情况下序数词都要用复数形式。
3/4 three fourths或 three quarters
1/3 one third或a third
24/25 twenty-four twenty-fifths

4 three and one fourth或 three and one quarter
1/2 a half
1/4 one quarter或a quarter
1 1/
2 one and a half
1 1/4 one and a quarter
2. 当分数后面接名词时，如果分数表示的值大于1，名词用复数；小于1，名词用单数。

2 hours 一个半小时（读作 one and a half hours）
2 3/4 meters 二又四分之三米（读作two and three-fourths meters）
4/5 meter 五分之四米
5/6 inch 六分之五英寸
3. 表示“n次方”的说法：指数用序数词，底数用基数词。
10的7次方 the seventh power of ten（ten to the seventh power）6的10次方 the tenth power of six（six to the tenth power）。
