Tune:"Slow, Slow Tune"Look and Look In Vain宋代:李清照[Song ]Li qingzhao寻寻觅觅,冷冷清清,凄凄惨惨戚戚。
Look and look in vain for my lost love,In loneliness, in sadness, in misery, and in grief.Hard to fall asleep to get refresh,When it turns just from cold to warmth. Two or three cups of dry wine I drink,Yet I can’t endure the swift wind at dusk. The wild geese are passing, while my heart isbreaking,Just as old acquaintances they are of mine.On the ground the yellow flowers are collecting,Which are withered and faded,To pick them up now, who is willing? At the window, alone I’m sitting,For the dark, how could I bear waiting? On Wutongs’ broad leaves, a fine rain is drizzling,Till at dusk, it is till dropping.Alas, the word “grief” is so powerless,Upon depicting my mood, dreariness !

Seek, seek; lonely, quiet; doleful, rueful, woeful. When it just turns warm, but still cold, it's hardest to have full rest. Two or three cups of light wine, how to fend the evening wind so strong? The wild geese pass-I feel heart-broken-since they are my old acquaintance. I look for what I miss;I know not what it is.I feel so sad, so drear,So lonely, without cheer. How hard is itTo keep me fitIn this lingering cold!By cup on cupOf wine so dryOh, how could IEndure at dusk the driftOf wind so swift? It breaks my heart, alas,To see the wild geese pass,For they are my acquaintances of old.

So dim, so dark,/ So dense, so dull,/ So damp, so dank,/ So dead! Seeking, seeking,/ Chilly and quiet,/ Desolate, painful and miserable. Ive a sense of something missing I must seek./ Everything about me looks dismal and bleak. / Nothing that gives me pleasure, I can find.许译:I look for what I miss;/ I know not what it is./ I feel so sad, so drear,/ So lonely, without cheer.
The weather, now warm, now cold,/ Makes it harder/ Than ever to forget! Even when its warmer there is still a chill, / It is most difficult to keep well. Even the weather has proved most unkind. / It is warm, but abruptly it turns cold again. / An unbroken rest-most difficult to obtain.许译:How hard is it / To keep me fit / In this lingering cold!

Search. Seek. Seek./ Cold. Cold. Clear.Clear Clear./Sorrow. Sorrow. Plain. Plain.”
