本学科承担着将学生带入涉外法学领域的功能。
通过本课程的学习，使学生能够比较系统全面的掌握国际经济法的基本理论和基本知识，使学生具备基本的解决国际经贸关系法律问题的方法和能力，从而为今后步入社会从事国际经济领域里的法律事务工作打下良好的基础。
通过系统学习、要求学生做到：了解我国在涉外经济法律方面的立法状况及发展趋势；掌握国际贸易、国际投资、国际金融、国际技术转让法等领域内的基本理论及原则；通过案例分析，掌握运用法律和国际惯例解决涉外经济纠纷的方法。
The Type, Purpose and Task of This CourseInternational Economic Law is a basic specialized course for law major undergraduate. It undertakes the task of leading students to the field of law related foreign affairs. Through studying this course, students will be enabled to systematically master the basic theory and knowledge of International Economic Law, so that they will be equipped with basic method and ability to solve legal issues related to international economy and trade, which will help the students to establish a solid foundation for future practical work. The requirement for the students is to get to know legislative conditions and the trend of economic law related with foreign affairs; to master basic theory and principle of international trade, international investment, international finance, and international technology transfer, etc; to learn the way to solve foreign related economic disputes through law and international principle by case analysis.二、课程基本要求了解国际经济法学的体系和调整范围，掌握国际贸易法、国际税法、国际投资法以及国际货币金融法的主要内容；理解国际争端的主要处理方式。
