1、Please explain how absolute advantage and comparative advantage differ, and

give an example in which one person has an absolute advantage in doing something

but another person has a comparative advantage.

Answer:

Comparative advantage means compare the cost of a country's production of the

same unit of a product is relatively lower than other countries, the country in the

production of this product has a comparative advantage. The absolute advantage

refers to the resources of a national production of the same unit of a product used in

the production of another country less than similar goods. There must be a

comparative advantage absolute advantage, comparative advantage does not

necessarily have an absolute advantage. Economics use the term absolute advantage

when comparing the productivity of one person firm or nation to that of another. while

comparative advantage is based on the relative opportunity costs of the persons, firms,

or nations Trade can benefit everyone in society because it allows people to specialise

in activities in which they have a comparative advantage.

Example: Suppose country A were to produce one unit of wine and cloth time of

two hours and one hour, B country is one hour and two hours, on the fabric

production, A state-owned absolute advantage; in the wine production, B-owned

absolute advantage. A country is assumed to produce one unit of each wine and cloth

time of two hours and one hour, B country to six hours and two hours. A consideration
