所以A-level最佳申请时间是高一或高二在读时。

A-LEVEL课程设置和课程结构英国高中课程(A-Level)有60多门课供学生选择，学生可以任意选修其中的3至4门(甚至6门)课程包括：数学、进阶数学、物理、化学、生物学、会计学、商业学、经济学、英国文学、心理学、计算机学、传媒学、艺术设计等科目。

基础数学的内容涵盖：纯粹数学、概率统计、机械学。

考试以笔试的形式，分为六个模块。

中国学生在数学学科上有很大的优势，一般学生都会选择基础数学。

进阶数学在基础数学的基础上，进阶数学在内容的深度和广度上略有提高。

那些在理科方面有特长的同学，通常会选择进阶数学。

商业学商业学内容包括：商务及环境、人与组织、市场营销、运作管理、商业会计学、决策与支持、信息学等。

考试以笔试为主，题型包括：简答、小论文、案例分析等。

经济学经济学内容包括：经济学基础、价格体系及公司理论、价格体系的政府干预行为、国际贸易、宏观经济学基础、宏观经济学问题、宏观经济学政策。

什么是A- Level？
A -Level即General Certificate of Education Advanced Level(普通教育高级证书)，是英国的国民教育课程，也是英国学生进入大学前的主要测试课程。

A -Level课程是与普通中等教育(在英国称为GCSE 即General Certificate of Secondary Education)直接衔接的高级程度课程，而其成绩则相当于中国的“高考”，所以在英国, 学生凭A Level的成绩直接报读大学。

A- Level课程按照学科来划分，主要科目包括:英国语言与文学、数学、物理、生物、化学、历史、地理、经济、艺术与设计、音乐、现代外语、商学、会计、影视媒体、计算机和法律等经典或新兴学科，学制为两年，第一年称为AS Level，第二年称为A2 Level，连同AS Level一起修读完并经考试合格后获得A Level证书。

在AS Level，一般要求每个学生选四门课，优秀学生可以多选；A2阶段，可以从原修读的四门课中减少一门，保留选读三门。

A Level不设必修课，同时重要学科的单科课程体可开放。

A- Level的海外考试由剑桥大学考试院(UCLES)统一负责，每年统考两次，6月和11月各有一次统考。

每年8月和1月出考试成绩。

学生和学校可按自身教学进度分AS阶段和A2阶段报考，也可以AS和A2一起报考。

若一次考试发挥不好，下次可重考，两次考试之中取高分。

A Level的评分为A加、A、B、C、D、E、U五等级制，英国大学录取标准主要就看A -Level的成绩。

A-Level解读什么是A-Level？A-Level，全称是General Certificate of Education Advanced Level ，就是英国高中课程，也是英国学生的大学入学考试课程。

是英国学生在入读大学之前的重要考试凭证。

尽管源自英国，但目前A-Level课程已被世界上一百多个国家的数千所大学所认可。

A-Level 的学制两年。

第一年称为AS水准，学生通常选择自己最擅长且最有兴趣的3—4门课，通过考试后获得AS证书。

第二年称为A2水准，学生选择3门科目（第一年课程的延续）。

因此，A-Level课程的设置更适合于计划将来进入英国顶级大学的学生。

适合人群A-Level是英国学生的高中课程，但与国内高中3年不同的是，A-Level阶段只有2年，课程难度相当于国内的高三和大一。

国内高一毕业，高二在读的学生都可以来申请这门课程，需要注意的一点是，A-LEVEL不可以插读，所有学生必须从第一年开始学起。

所以，国内已经高三的学生，不建议他们再读A-LEVEL，应该选择预科或者是国际文凭课程（IB）。

考试成绩A-Level的成绩分为A、B、C、D、E、U六个等级，A为最优，E为通过，U为不及格。

如果学生对某门课的成绩不满意，可以选择重考，最终成绩以最好的一次为准。

大学对A-level的要求A-Level考试的及格等级E相当于百分制40分。

学生达到及格成绩，就可以申请国外的大学。

英国本科桥梁课程A-level、Foundation及Access的介绍对于想去英国留学的中国学生来说，一般来说有两类途径可供学生作为参考：英国高中A-level课程和英国大学预科课程。

一、中国学生在国内的高一或高二的在校学生可以赴英国学习A-Level课程。

这样，他们再经过两年的学习就可以进入英国大学就读，而不是像在中国那样，高中毕业然后还要学习一年的大学预科课程，才能入读英国大学。

二、这种课程是为中国学生进入英国大学做准备的理想课程。

无论是在学业方面还是在语言方面都会高于大学基础课程可达到的程度。

中国学生要用英语学习各门课程，亲自体验新的教学方法，其英语也会达到相当熟练的程度。

三、牛津、剑桥、帝国理工和伦敦大学学院这样的名牌英国大学几乎是从不录取大学预科的学生，而只录取A-Level毕业证书或同等学历的学生。

同样，如果没有A-Level毕业证书或同等学历，要想就读像医科或医疗卫生领域的某些课程也是难上加难。

但是，如果中国学生在A-Level课程考试中取得了好成绩，他们就会有很多机会进入英国非常好的大学攻读任何学科的课程。
