名词性从句讲解（2 ）应城市第三高级中学刘琪一．表语从句：在复合句中，位于系动词之后作表语的从句叫表语从句。

引导表语从句的关联词与引导主语从句的关联词大致一样，表语从句位于系动词后，有时用as if引导。

1.that 引导表语从句，无词义，只起连接作用，不可省。

2.联系动词可为be,look,seem,sound,appear等。

3.主语可为名词fact,truth,cause,question,explanation,trouble,assumption,belief等，代词this,that,these,it等。

4.whether 引导表语从句The fact is that we have lost the game.That’s just what I want.This is where our problem lies.That is why he didn’t come to the meeting.It looks as if it is going to rain.China is not what it used to be.The question is whether the enemy is marching towards us。

【注意】1.当主语是reason时，表语从句要用that引导而不是because。

The reason why he was late was that he missed the train by one minute this morning.2.whether可引导表语从句，但与之同义的if却通常不用于引导表语从句。

3.That is why…译为“这就是……的原因”。

其中why引导的名词性从句在句中做表语，该句型通常用于针对前面已经说过的原因进行总结。

That is why you see this woman before you know.That is why I came.区别：①That is why ……与That is the reason why …同义，只不过从语法结构上讲，前者中的why引导表语从句，后者中的why引导定语从句。

我们知道任何句子都是简单句的幻化，也就是说句子里面只可能出现一个谓语动词。

根据长难句的分析步骤，我们可以肯定whether后面一定是从句，所以核心动词是is.而that 引导的从句作表语，我们称其为表语从句。

但是为什么这个句子中有that和whether 两个连词呢?在这个句子中，that是个引导词，可以省略，而whether本身就是wh-疑问词，可引导从句。

总之，从句的判断，是基于核心动词的寻找的。

当确定了句子的核心动词后，其他部分的成分就很容易判断了。

那我们该怎样确认它是一个表语从句呢?表语从句可以遵循以下标准：①用从句代替名词，充当句子表语;②充当表语，即为表语从句。

⑵同位语从句We found out the fact,the murder.We found out the fact. We found out the murder.We found out the fact that he was killed.在了解同位语从句之前，我们先看几个句子。

第一个句子的主语和句意均完整，在这个句子中the murder是名词作同位语，解释前面的名词fact的内容。

在从句中不做成分。

如：The trouble is that I have lost his address. 麻烦是我把他的地址丢了。

(2) 从属连词whether, as, as if。

如：He looked just as he had looked ten years before. 他看起来还与十年前一样。

注：从属连词if一般不用来引导表语从句，但as if却可引导表语从句。

如：All this was over twenty years ago, but it’s as if it was only yesterday. 这都是20多年前的事了，但宛如昨天一样。

注：可接表语从句的连系动词有be, look, seem, sound, appear等。

如：China is no longer what she used to be. 今日的中国不再是过去的中国了。

(3) 连接代词who, whom, whose, what, which, whoever, whatever, whichever 在表语从句中做主语、宾语等。

如：That was what she did this morning. 那就是他今天早上所做的。

(4) 连接副词where, when, how, why。

如：What I wonder is when he left. 我想知道他是何时离开的。

(5) because, why引导的表语从句。

如：That's because he didn't understand me. 那是因为他没有理解我。
