And men who eat fish several timesa week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchershave told the American Association for Cancer Research. The studies add to a growing body of evidence about the role of dietin cancer. Cancer experts now believe that up to two-thirds of all cancerscome from lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet and lack of exercise. The US National Cancer Institute and researchers at the Universityof Hawaii found that women who ate the most soy-based foods, such as tofuand miso, when aged 5 to 11, reduced their risk of developing breast cancerby 58 per cent. It was not clear how soy might prevent cancer, thoughcompounds in soy called isoflavones have estrogen-like effects.A second study showed that men who ate fish at least five times a weekhad a 40 per cent lower risk of developing colorectal cancer compared withmen who ate fish less than once a week. Many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interferewith the cyclooxygenase-2 or COX-2 enzyme. COX-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.据美国研究人员报告,儿童时期经常吃豆类食品的女性患乳腺癌的风险较小。

It's my honor to speak here and I am veryglad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “mydream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are:a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. Theyare older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! Howdo they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow ricethemselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves!I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remainhumble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do notwant to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be runningaround in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life justas they have.Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on mybirthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore.I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fightso much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. Theydo! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want themto live a happy life as well.I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beautyof our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great!I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down tothe south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my countrywith my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my countryon my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreamsin life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would havelived a full and prosperous life.Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.I thank you!大学英语演讲稿范文三分钟 (4) Today, I speak for everyone is "homeland in my heart." During my stay here,I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experienceall tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum,friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there withthem.Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more freetime,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societiesclubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our lifemore colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The universityis a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life. Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided.Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refusedby a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us down. Sometimeswe fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excitedafter gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up.We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we becomea better person.University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. 优秀大学生英语演讲稿范文(精选13篇)优秀大学生英语演讲稿范文篇1someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.we are young. “how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i h ave to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.a poet said “to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s s how our right palms. we can see three lines that show how ourlove.career and life is. i have a short line of life. what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love, career, and life? tell me.yeah, it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves.we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.as what i said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out “we are the world, we are the future.”一些人说“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。
Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning/afternoon. It is my great honor to stand before you today to address a topic that concerns all of us—environmental protection. In this modern era, where technological advancements have brought us immense convenience and prosperity, it is crucial that we do not overlook the importance of safeguarding our planet for future generations.Firstly, let us acknowledge the undeniable reality that our planet is facing a severe environmental crisis. The relentless pursuit of economic growth has led to the depletion of natural resources, pollution of water and air, and the loss of biodiversity. These issues have become increasingly prominent in recent years, with devastating consequences such as climate change, extreme weather events, and the extinction of numerous species. One of the most pressing concerns is climate change, which has been causing global temperatures to rise at an alarming rate. The emission of greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide, from the burning of fossil fuels is the primary culprit. This warming trend has led to rising sea levels, melting polar ice caps, and more frequent and severe natural disasters. The repercussions of these changes are far-reaching and can no longer be ignored. To address this crisis, it is imperative that we take immediate action to reduce our carbon footprint. This begins with individuals making sustainable choices in our daily lives, such as using public transportation, reducing energy consumption, and recycling. Moreover, governments must implement policies that incentivize the transition to renewable energy sources and promote green technologies. It is also essential to engage in international cooperation to tackle this global issue collectively.Another critical aspect of environmental protection is the conservation of biodiversity. The loss of species is a result of habitat destruction, pollution, and climate change. We must recognize that every species plays a unique role in maintaining the delicate balance of ourecosystems. By preserving biodiversity, we ensure the sustainability of our planet and the well-being of future generations.Furthermore, environmental protection is not just a moral obligation but also an economic necessity. The green economy offers numerous opportunities for job creation and innovation. Investing in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and eco-friendly industries can stimulate economic growth while reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and minimizing environmental degradation. In conclusion, the importance of environmental protection cannot be overstated. As we strive for progress and development, we must notforget our responsibility to protect our planet. By taking collective action, we can ensure a sustainable future for ourselves and our descendants. Here are some steps we can take:1. Raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage others to adopt sustainable practices.2. Support and invest in green technologies and renewable energy sources.3. Advocate for strong environmental policies and regulations at both the national and international levels.4. Engage in community initiatives and participate in environmental conservation projects.Ladies and gentlemen, the time for action is now. Let us join hands and work together to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable world for all.Thank you.。
大学生英语演讲稿(优秀4篇)大学生英语演讲稿篇一Good evening, everyone 。
May I take this opportunity of thanking you for coming`,my name is XX ,Im a sophmore ,major in Chinese from class oneThis is really a great honor to have this opportunity, and I believe I can make good performance today. the next four minutes will change your attitude to internet and society. With the increase of global Internet users and the rapid development of related technology, in recent years, people are developing an inseparable relationship with internet ,as is known to all ,it is convenient for us to click the mouse when surfing on line ,either to entertain or to meet the work’s need 。
and I still believe that In the near future, the network will affect peoples life and society further 。
One the one hand ,no one denies that internet is currently one of the most useful media in our daily life ,as a college student ,I get on line everyday to obtain and exchange information with it ,we have to say internet do a great help for all of us. Everything lives with opposite forces. The same can be said about modern technology, such as Internet. We also have enough evidence indicating that the Internet can be a harmful influence on people. A great many people admit that they are too much addicted to internet too maintain a regular and health lifestyle 。
Ladies and gentlemen,Good morning! It is my great honor to stand here today and share with you my thoughts on the topic of embracing change and takingresponsibility for the future. As university students, we are at a critical juncture in our lives, where we are shaping our own destiny and that of our society. It is imperative that we recognize the importance of change and take an active role in shaping our future.Firstly, let us acknowledge the rapid pace of change in our world today. Technology has revolutionized the way we live, work, and communicate. From the advent of the internet to the rise of social media, our lives have been transformed in ways we could have never imagined. However, this rapid change has also brought about challenges and uncertainties. It is crucial for us to adapt to these changes and embrace them as opportunities for growth and development. One of the most significant changes we are witnessing is the shift towards a more interconnected world. Globalization has broken down barriers and connected people from different cultures and backgrounds. This interconnectedness has brought about numerous benefits, such as the exchange of ideas, resources, and technology. However, it has also led to increased competition and the need for collaboration. As university students, we must be prepared to navigate this complex global landscape and leverage the opportunities it presents. In order to do so, we need to develop a mindset of adaptability and flexibility. Change is inevitable, and we must be willing to embrace it rather than resist it. This means being open to new ideas, willing to learn, and ready to adjust our plans and strategies as needed. As Albert Einstein once said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." By embracing change, we can break free from the constraints of the past and move towards a brighter future.Furthermore, we must take responsibility for our actions and decisions. As young adults, we are in a unique position to shape the world we will live in. Our choices today will have a lasting impact on futuregenerations. It is our duty to make responsible decisions thatprioritize the well-being of our planet and its inhabitants. One area where we can take responsibility is in the realm of environmental sustainability. Climate change is a pressing issue that threatens the very existence of our planet. We must recognize the importance of taking action to mitigate its effects. This can be as simple as reducing our carbon footprint, conserving resources, and supporting sustainable practices. By doing so, we can contribute to a healthier planet and ensure a better future for ourselves and future generations.Another area where we can take responsibility is in the realm of social justice. We live in a world that is rife with inequality and injustice. It is our responsibility to stand up against these issues and work towards a more equitable and just society. This means advocating for the rights of marginalized groups, promoting inclusivity, and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding. As university students, we have the power to make a difference and create positive change. In addition to taking responsibility for our actions, we must also take responsibility for our education. As future leaders, we have a responsibility to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to address the challenges of our time. This requires a commitment to lifelong learning and a willingness to challenge ourselves. We must not only seek academic excellence but also cultivate critical thinking, creativity, and innovation. By doing so, we can contribute to the development of new ideas and solutions that can help shape a better future. In conclusion, embracing change and taking responsibility for the future is essential for university students. We must adapt to the rapid pace of change in our world, develop a mindset of adaptability and flexibility, and take responsibility for our actions and decisions. By doing so, we can contribute to a healthier planet, a more equitable society, and a brighter future for ourselves and future generations. As we move forward, let us remember that we are not alone in this journey. We have the support of our family, friends, and mentors.Together, we can make a difference and create a world that is worth living in. 【篇⼀】英语演讲稿 The tempo of modern civilization has been much quickened in the last twenty years。
While witnessing the dramatic changes in the better-off society, people begin to reconsider the question of "survival"。
"Survival" in the old sense does not bother us anymore。
Instead, we are more concerned about how to "survive" in the human world full of petition。
Competition always carries abreast challenges and opportunities to everyone involved。
It might appear in an entrance exam, in a regular class, or in a small public speech。
Those who fail to detect its real nature-whether an opportunity or a challenge a petition really is- will lose something more or less conducive to our growth。
Of course, if we take the petition as an opportunity, we will favor it intentionally because they can help us outstand from the average; they will make us bee the focus of public attention; they will grant us more chances and rights to succeed。

Good morning ladies and gentlemen,
I’m greatly honored to have this oppotunity to stand here and give a speach on the following two pieces of news.
The first one is about sports.David Beckham will reject the chance to make one final appearance for England, a person familiar with the former captain’s plans said on Thursday. Coach Fabio Capello announced on Wednesday 35-year-old Beckham was too old to continue playing competitively for England, but offered him an opportunity to say farewell to fans in an exhibition match.
And the next is an international news: Baghdad suicide bomb hits army recruits, kills 61.
A suicide bomber sat for hours Tuesday among hundreds of army recruits before detonating nail-packed explosives strapped to his body, killing 61 people and casting new doubt on the ability of Iraqi forces as US troops head home.
Bodies of bloodied young men, some still clutching job applications in their hands, were scattered on the ground outside the military headquarters in central Baghdad. Some of the estimated 1,000 men who had gathered there before dawn for a good spot in line were so desperate for work they returned hours after being treated at hospitals for injuries in the attack.
So much of my report, thank you for listening.。
