① 现在进行时的被动语态
This high rate of infection is being blamed on the
appalling hygiene conditions. 人们责怪极差的卫生状况造成了如此高的感染率.

What is the high rate of infection being blamed on?
② 过去进行时的被动语态
Last week more than 200 people were being treated in a
Glasgow hospital. 上个星期, 200多人在格拉斯哥一家医院接受治疗
Were 200 people being treated?
Where were 200 people being treated?
主语 +be(am/is/are)+ being +pp.
主语 +be(was/were)+ being +pp. 2. 直接引语与间接引语
(Direct Speech // Indirect /Reported Speech)
转述他人说的话, 可用直接引语和间接引语两种方式:
直接引语: He said, “My head aches and I feel very sick.”
间接引语: He said(that)his head ached and he felt sick.
"I was ill on the flight,” he said.
→He said he had been ill on the flight.
She told me she hadn’t slept well before the flight.
直接引语“…” →间接引语(多为宾语从句)
1) 人称、时态、地点、时间要作相应变化,重点是时态
一般现在时→一般过去时
现在进行时→过去进行时
现在完成时→过去完成时
一般过去时→过去完成时
一般将来时→过去将来时
2) 语序(句式)→ 陈述句语序
①陈述句: 主句 +(that)+陈述句
②一般问句:主句 + if/ whether +主 +谓 +….
③特殊问句:主句 + 疑问词+ 主 + 谓 +….
④祈使句:主语 + told/asked + sb + to do
eg. 1. Jim said, “I like swimming.”
→Jim said that he liked swimming.
2. “Can I have a cup of tea?” she said.
→She asked if she could have a cup of tea.
3. “How do you like the play?” asked Susan. →Susan asked how I liked the play.
4. “Come in, please, officer,” Tim said.
→Tim asked the officer to come in.
附:直接引语→间接引语(口诀)
“直接引语”间接转,
人称和时态,地点和时间,
根据实际来变换。
时态变化是重点,
一般向前翻一翻;
语序变化是难点,
陈述语序来转换,(主句+连接词+主谓)
三种句式分清楚,
间接引语都有连词连:
①“陈述句”最简单,
that引导记心间。
②“疑问句”也好办,
if /whether主谓连。
③“特殊问句”咋处理?
疑问词后面加主谓。
▲“祈使句”最特殊,
主谓宾后面+to do
注:陈述句—said to→told
疑问句—said →asked
祈使句—said →told /asked /ordered
