ESP（电子稳定程序）是一种车辆动态稳定控制系统，用于提高车辆在潜在危险情况下的操控能力和稳定性。

其工作原理主要包括传感器阵列、控制单元和制动系统。

首先，传感器阵列会不断地监测车辆的状态，包括车辆的加速度、车轮速度、转向角度、负荷情况等。

通过这些传感器，ESP能够实时了解车辆的动态状况。

然后，控制单元通过处理传感器阵列提供的数据，分析车辆的状态，判断是否存在潜在的危险情况。

如果控制单元发现车辆出现偏离预期轨迹、轮胎失去抓地力或向某个方向滑移等异常情况，它将会触发稳定控制系统。

最后，制动系统起到执行稳定控制动作的作用。

控制单元通过电子控制单元（ECU）发送信号，使制动系统对车轮进行独立或集中制动，以减小车轮速度差异，使车辆恢复稳定。

此外，制动系统还可以与差速器进行配合，调节车轮的扭矩分配，阻止车辆的侧滑或翻转。

导致这种侧滑的原因，可能是驾驶员猛打方向盘、紧急避让，或对路线的判断失误。

因此研发一种能够提前预知，并能迅速有效地控制侧滑现象发生的系统成为了行业当务之急的事情。

作为世界最大的汽车技术研发商之一的罗伯特·博世集团一直致力于这项技术的研究，新一代的ESP8.0于2002年问世，而博世最早的ESP则是10年前诞生的。

ESP到底是什么？ESP是英文Electronic Stability Program的缩写，这串英文字母的中文含意为“电子稳定程序”。

从它的名字来看，与其说ESP是一套系统，倒不如说它是一组程序。

ESP以ABS制动防抱死系统为基础，通过外围的传感器收集方向盘的转动角度、侧向加速度等信息，这些信息经过微处理器加工，再由液压调节器向车轮制动器发出制动指令，来实现对侧滑的纠正。

因此，ESP整合了ABS和TCS牵引力控制系统，不仅能防止车轮在制动时抱死和启动时打滑，还能防止车辆侧滑。

此外，ESP还能以25次/秒的频率对驾驶员的行驶意图和实际行驶情况进行检测，随时待命对车辆的侧滑进行控制，保证驾乘者的行车安全。

ESP具体做些什么？在任何行驶状态下，不管是在紧急制动还是正常制动，以及在车辆自由行驶、加速、油门或载荷发生变化的时候，ESP都能让车辆保持稳定，并确保驾驶员对车辆操纵自如。

ESP以高频率(25次/秒)对当前的行驶状态及驾驶员的转向操作进行检测和比较，时刻对失去稳定的情况、过度转向、转向不足进行记录，一旦预定的情况有出现危险的可能性，ESP会立即作出干预使车辆恢复稳定。
