That's the story floating around after Simon Kruger, a 7-year-old boy, was rescued from Australia's Deep Creek Conservation Park. B At the Smithsonian's National Zoo, animals are getting their paws dirty with harmless water-based paints to create unique works of art. Is there a growing Picasso in the group? The animals have the opportunity not only to choose how to behave, but also to use their natural abilities and behaviors in new and exciting ways. Enrichment is a necessary part of the daily care of the species in the zoo's collection.
