1. Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you,too."
Nice to me et you.",这时就简单说,"Hi!"
事实上老美只会说,"Nice to meet you.",所以这个"久仰" 应该也只能翻译成"Niceto meet you." Give me a hug.
这时候见了面通常就是彼此问候一下,"How are you doing ?" 或是"What'sup?"
当然不一定要先说,"Give me a hug."

Taking the First Step(迈出第一步)Taking the First StepFor some people forgiveness feels impossible because they have no idea how to go about it. The first and most important thing you need to accept is that the act of forgiveness is not going to beeasy. In fact, it will probably be the hardest thing most of us ever have to do.It seems totally unfair that we should have to forgive when we‘re the ones who have been hurt. And that‘s the crux of forgiveness. It seems unfair because it is unfair. Otherwise what would there be to forgive? Forgiveness is about pardoning things that are essentially inexcusable. After all, if something can be excused, it doesn‘t need forgiving, does it? The saying "Forgive and forget" may roll off the tongue, but it‘s as shallow as it is short. For one thing, it‘s downright impossible. For another, it misses the whole point of forgiveness. The things we most need to forgive in life are the things we can‘t forget. Rather than sweeping them under the carpet,we need to draw a line under them, deliberately choosing not to count them against the person who did them, and movingon. That‘s why, sometimes, the initial act of forgive-ness may seem relatively easy, but dealing with the emotions that follow every time you see that person, or speak to them or just think about them, can be harder to deal with. True forgiveness is not an act, it‘s a constant emotional confrontation. And the longer you wait to forgive someone, the harder it becomes. Time really doesn‘t heal, it just gives the bitterness and resentment longer to eat away at you from inside. If you wait for the "right time" you may never do it.

Taking the first step towards achieving a goal is often the most challenging part. It requires determination, courage, and a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. When I think about taking my first step, I feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. However, I believe that with proper planning and a positive mindset, I can overcome any obstacles that come my way.To begin with, setting clear and realistic goals is essential. I need to identify what I want to achieve and break it down into smaller, manageable steps. This willhelp me stay focused and motivated throughout the journey. Whether it's learning a new skill, pursuing a career change, or starting a personal project, having a clear roadmap will guide me towards success.Another crucial aspect of taking the first step isgathering knowledge and resources. I need to research and educate myself about the subject or field I want to explore. This could involve reading books, attending workshops, or seeking guidance from experts in the field. By equipping myself with the necessary knowledge and skills, I can increase my chances of success and minimize potential setbacks. Moreover, surrounding myself with a supportive networkis vital. I believe in the power of collaboration and learning from others. By connecting with like-minded individuals or joining communities related to my goal, Ican gain valuable insights, share experiences, and receive encouragement. Having a support system will provide me with the motivation and accountability I need to keep moving forward.Lastly, I understand that taking the first steprequires perseverance and resilience. It's natural to face challenges and setbacks along the way. However, I believe that failure is not the end but an opportunity to learn and grow. By staying committed to my goal and adapting tochanges, I can overcome obstacles and continue progressing towards achieving my desired outcome.

In a time when the economy is still a bit shaky1, and so many still out of work, there may be more than a few people struggling to believe in themselves.
The loss of a job, loss of health, or loss of a home can make a person begin to develop self-doubt. But it is more important during the tough times to keep a positive view than in the good times.
It’s quite easy to have self-confidence when things are bad in your life. When you are feeling good about who you are, then others find it easy to do so as well. But when you begin to doubt yourself, your self-confidence wanes2, and so does the confidence others have in you. This disappearance of confidence extends to work and family, in fact to nearly every aspect of your life.
to get a foot in the door
下面这个例子是一个学生说的话例句-1: "you know that beautiful girl who sits ahead of me in english class she keeps turning me down for dates, but i finally got a foot in the door today: she met me for coffee after class."
其中一个人说例句-2: "getting into politics is tough. but martin got his footin the door when he volunteered to go around town putting up posters for the republican candidate for congress."
Nice to meet you. 然後另一個人也說, "Nice to meet you, too." 事實上老美只會說, "Nice to meet you.", 所以這個"久仰" 應該也只能翻譯成"Nice to meet you." Give me a hug. 這時候見了面通常就是彼此問候一下, "How are you doing?" 或是"What's up?" 當然不一定要先說, "Give me a hug." ^___^. 你還可以說, "Give me a squeeze." 或是"Give me a bear hug." Have you met before? (6).4. Benlin, this is Melinda. Melinda, this is Benlin. Melinda, this is Benlin." 例如, "Benlin, do you know Melinda is also from Taiwan?" I am from Taipei, what part of Taiwan are you from?" 5. How did you and John become friends? Melinda,"How did you and John become friends?" 另外問對方, "Where are you from?" 也很常見, 如果對方不是本地人(假設本地是Atlanta), 那我就可以進一步問, "Are you new to Atlanta?" "Do you need me to show you around?" 6. I didn't recognize you! I didn't recognize you!" Don't you recognize me?" 但你不能說, "I don't know you." 7. Your biography is almost a required course. 這時你就可以很拍馬屁地對她說, "Come on, your biography is almost a requiredcourse." Could I have your business card? 通常你可以自己先掏出名片, 說"Here is my card." (這是我的名片) "Could I have your business card?" Do you want to exchange numbers? 例如你可以說, "Do you want to exchange numbers?" 或是直接跟對方要電話, "Could I have your phone number?" 10. Sorry, I didn't catch your name. Excuse me, your name again?" 最好再解釋一下, "I didn't catch your name." 生活小故事話說最近跟一個老美聊到他交女朋友的條件, 他說, "I'd like to date a dancer or ice-skater." "Because they have perfect body types." 這時我想這個老美好像有個非常美麗的女友叫Melinda, 所以我就繼續問他, "How about your girlfriend, Melinda?" 沒想到他的答案讓我大吃一驚, "Come on, she is just a SLEEPER. She sleeps more than any other girls I know" (拜託你喔!
如何用地道英语讲“迈出第一步”今天我们要讲的美国习惯用语是to get one s foot in the door。
要注意的是,to get one s foot in the door说的是某人先把一只脚伸到门里。
例句-1:I remember when I got my first intern job at a movie studio. I worked forty hour weeks doing odd jobs like answering the phone or picking up lunch and dry cleaning, and I hardly got paid! But I did get my foot in the door of the industry and look where I am now.
不过,得到实习的机会就使他进入了制片业的圈子 he got his foot in the door。
To get one s foot in the door
